7 Chapter Six

Throughout the entire class, Clark didn't do a single thing called Chemistry. I did all the calculations and all mixed everything Mr Davis wrote on the board. At that moment, I felt like a Hogwarts student. You know during Potions and Snape just writes the steps and procedure on the board and you are left to make whatever potion you are having that day. And after I did everything, the jerk copies off my work and smirks at me as he goes to submit.

Not even a thank you.

After class, I decided to be slow as I packed my books into my bag. If I left class as quick as I did the previous class, Clark would probably trace me and I don't want that outside school.

Have you ever had this feeling that you are sure of your calculations during a test or pop quiz but then all of a sudden, your result comes in and you see an F?

Well, that's how my plan was. A big fat F.

Just as I was purposely delaying my precious time I could have used to find a very good seat, my no help partner decides to show his face.

"So you hate Allison?" he asked.

I only nodded as I was more focused on putting my books into my bag.

"I know you are putting nothing in your bag. I'm not blind."

Drat! I've been spotted.

"Do you ever talk?" he now asked.

"Only when it's necessary." I answered.

"So, I'm not necessary?" he said. I could literally feel his pout. What is with bad boys and pouting? Forgetting my bag, I faced him.

"You cheated off me in class today."

"Yeah. Because, that is what partners are for right?"

"No." I answered with a disbelieving look. Is this guy for real? "Partners are meant to help each other in class. If only one person does a partners' job, then why is for partners?" I said, now adjusting my bag on my shoulder.

He shrugged.

This freaker listened to what I had to say an shrugged. Like I'm a vaccination shot or something.

"I still think..." I didn't get to hear what he had to say because, I left the classroom.

I was so angry, I could eat a whole cow. And a goat. And a chicken. And a pig. Yeah, I eat more when I'm angry or pissed out. I was expertly weaving out of people still thinking about my partner for an entire year. God, am I glad that this is my final year.

Anger makes you do stupid and crazy things that you are going to regret when you think back. But anger makes me deaf. Literally deaf. So I didn't hear when someone yelled, "watch out."

Before I knew it, a ball was bounced on my head and the serious force it gave me made me fall down and hit my head.

That's gonna leave a bruise.

My eyes were super blurry but I was able to see a redhead with amazing green eyes, I think, bring his face towards mine.

"Don't just stand there, help her." he yelled.

Whether they helped me or not, I don't know because I blacked out.

I felt myself wake up on a rock. Why the hell am I sleeping on a rock? Why am I even sleeping?

"You got in the head by a ball. A basketball to be precise." I heard a voice say.

Don't know why but it sounds really familiar.

I sat upright. Wait, a basketball, not a volleyball, hit me in the forehead and I blacked out?

What?

"Is that why there are little dwarves hitting pickaxes on my head?" I asked.

"Don't know about the little dwarves and pickaxes but you looked like you were hit pretty bad." he said.

"Thanks." I said sitting up and wincing a little. How can a basketball hurt me this bad? I know I'm not as athletic as Hermione and Dustin but a basketball could never hurt me. I'm not Juan in Instant Family.

"It's no biggie. God the students here are jerks. No one even bothered to help. Well except the person who actually threw the ball."

"Tell me something I don't know." I muttered.

"I'm Jayden. That is something you don't know." he said.

"One of the new students?" I asked.

"Yeah. I'm guessing you have already met the others?"

"Yup. Fred is–"

"–is something else. Trust me I know. Infact, we all know." he said with a smile.

"By we, you mean,"

"Clark, Caesar and I." he answered.

"Oh." Just then, the nurse showed up.

"How is she?" she asked facing Jayden.

"Well, little dwarves are hitting her head with pickaxes so I'm guessing really bad." he answered.

"Well, just take the aspirin and you'll be good as new." she said. She dropped the aspirin and a glass of water and walked away. I looked at the aspirin like it was a bad drug.

"And by the way you are murdering the aspirin with your eyes, I'm guessing you hate drugs?"

"No shit." I muttered.

He laughed.

Talking with Jayden was awesome. He was not quiet like Caesar, loud like Fred and sarcastic like Clark. He was really nice.

We heard the bell and I automatically looked at the clock.

3:30?

When was school over? How long have been asleep?

What is even important, was it a basketball that gave me 4 hours 10 coma?

Jayden led me out of the nurse station. He was holding my cross bag and some of the notes I hastenly skipped putting in my bag.

"Thanks." I said collecting the things from him.

"Anytime." he said and walked away.

Was he with me for the rest of the entire day?

As I followed the rushing students who were more than eager to leave school, I overheard 2 girls and a boy talking.

"Allison is mad. I heard she was even threatening the girl's college applications." the boy said. The girl besides him gasped.

"Can she really do that?" she asked.

I had no doubt this juniors were talking about me. I didn't bother with what the guy was going to say next because I walked past them pretending I didn't overhear them.

I walked outside and saw Hermione standing beside the car. And she was talking to a guy.

I walked over to them. Hermione quickly blushed the moment I was within their hearing distance.

"Hey Herms." I greeted. She blushed even harder.

"Hey Tracy. Where were you today?" she asked.

"Got hit in the head with a basketball. Had a 4 hours 10 minutes coma." I said with a shrug. I looked around like I was looking for something. Or someone. "Where's Dustin?"

"Probably goofing off with a freshman or sophomore girl." she replied with a shrug and continued her conversation with her friend. I waited and waited for introductions to happen but nothing.

To hell with being a shy nerd. I'm not a shy nerd when it comes to my besties.

"Since Herms is not going to introduce me, I will. Hi I'm Tracy." I said.

"Charles. Sorry about your head by the way. It was a mistake." he said sheepishly it was almost cute.

So he was the one.

I waved it off, "nah, don't worry about it. It was a mistake on your part." I said. I saw through the corner of my eyes, Hermione giving me a weird and crazy look.

I know. When did I wave things off?

But hey, Hermione might really like this guy and I don't want to ruin it with my dorkiness.

"And why is my second main bitch with a basketball jock?" We heard a loud voice ask. Just as he said it, the car was beeped open.

You know who it is.

Yup, Dustin.

If Hermione's face was slightly red when I saw them, it was tomato red now. And I'm guessing from embarrassment and anger.

"Oh hey Dustin." Charles said bringing out his hand for a handshake.

Dustin didn't return it.

"Hey to you too." he said rather dryly and well, not the Dustin we know.

Charles slowly carried the hand to the back of his neck and rubbed it.

"So huh, Hermione, I will call you later?"

She nodded.

When he was gone, she glared at Dustin.

"Oh don't give me that look. And hurry, we have to go see Gin." he said also not in a Dustin voice.

Something was up.

I knew better than to sit at the shotgun today. They were clearly angry.

"What the hell Doodoo?" she practically yelled the moment he ignited the engine.

"What? I was being the overprotective older brother." he said sounding like the 'You're my honey cake bubblegum' baby.

And he's back.

"Why were you all Scott on Charles. You don't like him?" she added the last one as an afterthought. Dustin looked at her and sighed before saying that he was only looking out for her. "You know I can take care of myself right."

"Yeah. I know. And besides if he hurts you, Tracy and I will binge watch the complete season of Keeping Up With The Kardasians and also finish an entire tub of chocolate." he said suddenly lighting the mood.

We laughed.

"There's no way I can ever go out with him Doodoo. You have nothing to worry about."

"Promise?"

"Promise." she answered with a small smile.

She looked at me through the rearview mirror and raised her right pinkie finger.

The Oath of Promise and Friendship.

But as I looked through the window, I hoped that if ever she breaks the oath, and Charles ends up breaking her heart, I should be dead or at least half across the country.

What?

I don't want to watch a group of lazy women fighting two four seven.

No offense to all their lovers.
