As someone who has known Tiana Irvine for his entire life, Thaddeus Irvine believes that even if she is commonly referred by many as the "Ice Queen," to his eyes, she is a wimp in disguise. Like a sheep in an arctic wolf's clothing.
Tiana's stunning face, indifferent demeanor, and queen-like aura where one would be frozen stiff in astonishment and kneel in her presence - all of those, sham. Though his sister's established reputation is apparent and beneficial, that being, greatly praised and highly respected by her own colleagues, business partners, fans, suitors, and bystanders. Thaddeus thought the situation was comical because everything was a result of good acting and great misunderstanding.
It was 8 years ago, their father, Edgar Irvine, held a charity event of his birthday wherein multiple known rich families and socialites attended the occasion; at the time he was twelve and his sister, fifteen.
That night, his sister was a beauty, she had always been, but was overlooked thanks to the stashed confidence, hidden among the strangers and even to their own father. Always behind the shadows of her neglected maladroitness. Not to mention that it was their first appearance in a wide-scale event such as that night. It certainly doubled the lingering feeling of throwing up and the uncontrollable shakiness of her body.
With her long, lustrous black hair and almond shaped eyes, wearing a gorgeous turquoise bouffant dress that matched her orbs. Guests were interested in her beauty that they tried to mingle and interact with her. Unfortunately for Tiana, she can't handle the sudden pressure of talking to strangers.
Rich strangers.
She was anxious. Of course she will be! Those strangers are the rich! Make one wrong move, your reputation will be at a negative. Not just your reputation, but your family name!
She is an Irvine! The renowned "Impeccable Lineage" in the Advanced Country of Ignetium, known for producing excellent, sharp-witted, and confident businessmen! A weak and naive Irvine is preposterous! To make things even worse, this is her father's birthday! She can't bear to bring shame to his special day!
Tiana felt her legs tremble, she hated the eyes that stared into her soul, like thousands of swords ruthlessly piercing her entirety. She bit her red lips, tears caged in her prison eyes, attempting to break free. She looked at her father and brother, who without hesitation, chatted with her guests.
She silently degraded herself. She felt worthless.
Quivering, she looked around the venue, desperately searching for a savior. And upon seeing a pink-haired girl, her friend, drinking a cold drink of Iced tea - like a creepy stalker, her eyes were glued on the girl, not blinking once.
She had hoped that her friend would be alarmed, for she knew that her friend is a walking sensor who detects every danger that lurks around the area. Acting in a sinister manner would help her to be noticed, correct? But alas, there the sensor was, sipping leisurely, as she engaged into a full-on conversation with a handsome boy with black violet side part haircut.
Tiana continued to stare without a blink of an eye, she urged herself to approach her friend, but her feet seemed to be super-glued to the fancy tiled floor.
Suddenly, a lightning guidance shocked her heart, helping her to return its energy to function. A phrase that the pink-haired girl will definitely say in this position, a phrase that she used to tell her and her brother, it is the solution!
'Fake it till you make it!'
Taking the remaining courage in her, she took the risk and acted like a typical aloof, cool-looking, rich individual. The usual description of a rich-lead character in a drama and novel. Don't judge! It was the only thing that popped in her mind! To be fair, it sounded ludicrous, but surprisingly, it worked!?
Most of the impressions that Tiana acquired were undeniably good. Even though some thought she was cold and rude, they cannot deny the fact that her character is a promising figure for the future of the Irvine family.
….and she really looked cool, like a queen.
But to her dismay, she didn't calculate the consequences of her decision. Now that she's an adult with a growing (already successful) business, she found herself in a tricky situation - she can't normally interact with anyone without them shivering in fear! And if by some miracle they weren't afraid, it would still be awkward!
The Main Problem: Tiana doesn't know how to socialize. This woman's lack of self esteem is quite laughable and pitiful.
But to give her some pity, obviously, she can't break off her well-made persona! Her father and relatives will be disgruntled, one of the disadvantages of being born in a rich family. Disgruntled, not in the form of open complaint or anger, but rather the silent and hidden disappointment. The type of disappointment that would guilt a person until they die.
Oftentimes she wished that she was like her brother. Her younger brother, Thaddeus, is a social butterfly who will swoop the nations with his smile. And like a magic trick, any stranger that he will encounter, in a flash, will end up as his friend.
That smooth mf has over 1000+ contact lists for goodness sake!
Speaking of her young brother, the documentary that he is currently watching was sending shivers down in her spine.
"Brrrr, I thought the cold never bothered the Ice Queen anyway."
With the sudden remark, Thaddeus, who is munching his cereal released a loud and boisterous laugh, resulting in him to choke on his breakfast. His face distorted into this very unattractive yet hilarious face, enough to ruin his dignity and fame if shown to the masses.
