"So I have to kill someone to unlock an alternate way to get stronger without killing someone."

[Host is incorrect, most quest consist of fighting and killing quest. Also if Host does not want to kill someone else, you can partially devour their soul energy rather than their soul]

"They can survive with a damaged soul?"

[No, no being can survive long with a damaged soul. Though if you devour their soul energy they will simply lose a few years of life if their living and if they're dead there will be no consequences]

"Why is that?"

[Because souls of the dead naturally absorb energy from the after realm]

"After realm?"

[The realm in which the after life exist. Since it's an absolute realm it holds infinite energy so all souls can absorb energy from it. Of course there is a limit, without getting stronger ghost will not be able to take in more energy. A cup can not hold more than it's volume.]

"Okay, how do I absorb them?"

[Host will automatically absorb souls upon killing them.]

"Pretty sure I said I did not want to kill anyone"

[Host is unable to choose that option. If Host did not kill anyone and took the peaceful route how would the God's be entertained.]

"Well thanks for reminding me that my soul purpose for living now is to entertain a bunch of old fogies!"

[Host has no purpose for living after all Host is dead.]

[I would prefer Host not refer to me as 'sassy'. Host it seems you have appeared to have gotten of track.]

"Of course you blame me, anyways since I was sent here with a system I should also have some type of cheat abilities?"

[There are no cheat abilities, all four participants starts off with the same abilities and ability to grow. The only way to get ahead of is for the Host to be more adaptable than the other participants. Host must not waste time, I recommend opening the status to check your abilities and then move on to slaughter the undead.]

"Wow, with your attitude I thought you would tell me to go and kill a bunch of living people."
