The sexless voice reverberated within Laemno's psyche, a tinge of glee oozing from its tone. 

"How does it feel to briefly transcend the concept of time?" 

"Awful," Laemno spat. "I would've appreciated a warning. Experiencing a mental breakdown for a hundred or so loops wasn't the most exhilarating of experiences." 

"And I would appreciate a little gratitude. Without me, you would have undoubtedly been captured. I did you a service out of the kindness of my heart." 

"Didn't you say that it was for your own good that you helped me?" 

"Oh, right. I did say that." The entity clicked its tongue. "Well, old age makes one quite talkative. It doesn't matter now. You're alive and safe."
