1 Chapter 1: Little Li

A small figure could be seen sitting in the bushes looking at something. The figure was completely covered in black clothes. It could be clearly seen that someone had just wrapped the small figure with black clothes like a gift wrap. As figure tried to push the bushes away to get a clear view, a thorn entered the small figure's hand and earned a loud cry of ' Ahhh!!!" from him. The figure brought his injured hand in front of his face and pulled out the thorn. He immediately let out a even louder cry when he saw the slight amount of blood coming from the wound.

Suddenly, the bush parted and a hand grabbed the small figure and pulled him out of the bushes. The pulling motion caused half of the black clothes to come off and a small male child was revealed. The child had black hairs and amber eyes and had a tanned skin. The presence of baby fat on his face made it difficult to determine the exact featured of the boy but at least he will grow up to be above average in looks. The boy shrieked at the top of his lungs, " MY ARMOR!!! YOU DESTROYED MY ARMOR. FIX IT!!! FIX IT!!!.....Hummph..." The boy could not yell further as a hand clamped down on his mouth.

The boy looked up towards his captor and saw the annoyed face of a young girl with similar looks to the boy, staring at him. The boy stopped his yelling but tried to glare at the girl but his looks and age made him look adorable instead of whatever effect he was trying to achieve. The girl laughed loudly and put the boy gently on the ground. The girl kneeled down and put her hands on her knees and said, " Little Li, I have told you numerous times, not to come to this training ground. And what's up with these black stripes?"

The boy now identified as Little Li tried to make a serious face but completely failed in his attempt. After failing to copy however, he was trying to copy, Little Li spoke up or more accurately yelled, " I CAME HERE TO SEE....." His yelling again was cut short by the presence of the young girl's hands on his mouth.

The girl said in an exasperated tone, " Little Li, this is not our home. You cannot behave like this here. Do you want your elder sister to be punished by clan teachers?" The boy's eyes widened and he shook his head in denial. The girl nodded in satisfaction and said, " Now, I'm releasing you and you will answer my questions truthfully."

The boy answered in low tone and said, " I came to see you, Sister. I wanted to see you train but mother didn't let me come so I sneaked out. These clothes helped me in sneaking out. The old grandpa who lives near the pond told me about ancient warriors called 'Ninjas' who were super sneaky and were able to move anywhere undetected. He told me that they were able to sneak with the help of their special black armor. Since, mother had not allowed me to leave, and I couldn't find any armor, I wore these clothes to help me pass undetected and I succeeded!!! I fooled mother!!!"

The girl ruffled Li's hair and said, " You are too young to successfully fool mother. Even I am not able to fool her let alone you. Mother was simply amused by your actions and allowed you to continue with this. But, don't think this will go unpunished, you will have to do dishwashing again..." The boy whined and opened his mouth to speak but the girl cut in, " Now, about these stripes, where did you get them from? We don't have any black clothes at home." The boy looked down towards the ground and starting shifting on his toes.

The girl spoke up, " You did something bad, right. Tell me, from where you got these clothes or I will tell mother that you were the one who opened the doors of the pen of Zhang Yun and let all the chickens out."

The boy said in a dramatic tone, " You promised to never tell mother and father. If you do this, I will be made to do dishwashing for life!!!"

The girl asked in amusement, " Who taught you talk like this?"

The boy answered in a smug tone, " If you can learn to talk like grown ups, I can too. If you promise to not tell mother about my ninja clothes, I will tell you."

The girl laughed and said, " I didn't know that wearing your own clothes have made you smarter. I remember when you wore my old fo....." This time, it was Little Li, who put a hand on his sister's mouth and said, " You promised to never mention that. If you try to speak about this again, I will tell mother and father about that."

The girl panicked and said, " If you try to mention that, I will never ever talk to you again." Little Li fell in thought, which was quite funny and said, " Father told me that if someone does something for you without any bad intentions then you owe that person a favour. But, when I asked him what favour and bad intentions were, he shook his head and said that I will understand when I will grow up. I don't know what this favour is, but I will owe you one favour. When I will grow up and have some money, I will buy you this favour."

The girl laughed and said, " I don't need your favour. There is no favour between family members. I am not in a mood to get you in more trouble. Let's return home and on the way, we will throw these clothes somewhere. But, first show me your finger....Oh!!! The blood has stopped, that's good but we should return home soon. I will tell you about my training on the way back." Little Li nodded with an excited expression and quickly shed his made up armor. The girl folded up the clothes in a bundle and took her brother's hand in her hand and started to walk towards the direction from where her brother had come from. The girl's voice was heard in the distance, " Little Li!!! I don't think that you will doing dishwashing this time. These are parts of Mrs. Yin's black dress, aren't they? You are going to get spanked or grounded. I am personally hoping that you will receive both. Good Luck Brother, you are going to need it."
