: Anger

Lila felt pain shot all throughout her body when she was jolted awake. Her bones were screeching in pain and she was unable to move, clearly signifying that they were broken. She felt the warm morning sun light drape all over her face and she can't help but wince when it reached her eyes slightly blinding her.

She slowly blinked her eyes open.

I-I'm .....alive? In pain but..... alive!

Lila felt extreme relief wash over her entire being as she felt an extreme amount of glee for being alive.

But how is this possible? With the height of my fall I could have sworn that I could have died.

She stared at the tall trees looming over her head and that was when she came to realization.

The trees! They served as my cushion all throughout my fall there by minimizing the impact when I fell! However the height of my fall was quite large therefore broken bones could be considered quite lucky of me since this fall could have taken away my life! I guess the heavens doesn't seem to dislike me after all.

She truly wanted to know the extent of her injuries so she tried to move—only to immediately regret her decision.

Hissss! That hurts!

Well they were broken, and that was to be expected but putting that aside.

I guess I underestimated the pain.

Lila abandoned the thought of moving and remained frozen in her place. She stared at the tall trees that almost covered the view of the blue solemn sky and she can't help but recall everything that has occured the day before as all the happenings flash before her eyes.

Well I guess this physical pain is considered nothing compared to the pain I felt before.

The betrayal.

The disappointment.

The death.

The banishment.

Everything.

Tears welled up on the sides of her eyes and it was not due to her broken bones.

If it was before her banishment she would not have allowed her tears to fall down because as a princess of her kingdom she must uphold a noble elegance worthy of a royal and she was a role model for the people therefore she must never show any weakness because a weakness of hers could be considered a weakness of her entire kingdom— But now she just didn't care.

She didn't care about correcting her posture.

She didn't care about maintaining her noble elegance.

She didn't care about pretending to be the perfect fiance.

She didn't care about her princess-y image.

She didn't care anymore.

Lila let her warm tears slid from her eyes down to the sides of her face— she bit her lips so she would not let out a whimper of extreme emotional pain.

She was unaware that she was still unconsciously putting up a strong front even if no one was around.

Because a strong front was all she always had.

Even when she was humiliated in front of everyone, she maintained a strong front.

Even when she was bullied for being an unimportant princess still, she maintained a strong front.

Even if she was about to be pushed towards her end—still she maintained a strong front.

A strong front was all she had but now even that was currently slowly shattered as soft sobs escaped from her now bleeding lips.

Her soft sobs turned to full out crying.

Her full out crying turned to full out bawling.

And her full out bawling turned to full out wailing.

Pain.

That was all she felt.

And now pain was all she had left.

But on second thought, it wasn't.

ANGER

This was the very first time that Lila felt an incredible amount of anger because usually she tries to see the good in everything.... and now look as to where that got her.

Those bastards! They dare to do this to me?! Just what wrong have I committed for me to deserve this?!

No! I will not take this!

So they want me dead?!

Then I'll rise from my ashes and live!

They want me to remain weak?!

Then I shall grow strong!

They want me to be filled with despair?!

Then I shall live happily!

I would forever remember this gratitude and I will surely return the favor!

The civilians accusatory looks!

The nobles humiliaton!

Philips betrayal!

The soldiers who killed Clarisse!

My fathers judgement!

Every. Single. One. Of. Them.

Anyone—Everyone who gave me humiliation and pain today shall pay! I, Lila Hiram Florence, vow to never forget this day!

*Grumbling sound*

All the hatred and revenge ideas of Lila went to a halt when her stomach started to growl like a rabid beast due to hunger.

Now that I think about it, I have yet to eat dinner when I was suddenly called out to the Penance Hall. Vengeance is great and all that but how will I exact my revenge if I die of hunger?

The Forest of Damnation is notorious for it is believed that who ever entered the forest will never have the chance to step out. This forest is rumored to be filled with monstrous beasts, poisonous plants, lethal insects and an unpredictable weather. It was said that it rains lightning, it has a lake of magma, and during winter here the snow freezes anything it touches.

So basically, once you entered you'll be damned. Hence, its name: The Forest of Damnation.

Lila's stomach continued to growl.

"Food!" She cried out.

The only fortunate thing that has happened to her was the fact that even if her body was unable to move her head was still mobile.

She twisted her head to scan her surroundings and she can't help but feel a little bit blessed for the fact that she landed on a place that is grassy. She can't stomach the idea of what may have happened to her if she hadn't.

And realization hit her.

Grass! Thats it!
