2 Why me!?
After sitting a while in this empty dark space I couldn't take this awkward silence anymore so I turn to face the young girl who sat next to me. She really looks like yu'er no matter how I look at her.
"Can you tell me who you are? And where we are?We've been sitting here for quite a while."

I looked at the young girl who sat there in silence, I wonder if she's just as confused as I am. I mean she looked like she was around the same age as yu'er, so maybe she's still trying to come to terms with what's happening too. Sigh, I am certainly older than her so maybe I should try helping her come to terms with it.
"uhm." Just as I was about to start she cut me off.
"I am the one and only beloved daughter of the prime minister of the left, Chen Yu Lan. I was suppose to marry the emperor the next morning but it seems that someone had found a way to send me to King Yama." Chen Yu Lan stated while sounding very dispirited. "May I ask who you are?"
"I am Shen Mu Lan, I had lived a long life and was ready to meet King Yama but I woke I here instead. Ah, don't tell me that by chance on the way to King Yama we met up with each other first!?"
"Uh, I highly doubt that Lady Shen. I can't tell you how you ended up in my body but I can tell you that you've been giving another chance at life." Chen Yu Lan softly stated.
I can see the tiny glow of envy that crossed her eyes as she said that. I mean really, who wouldn't want another chance to live again especially even more so after not knowing how and who killed you.
As Shen Mu Lan was lost in her own thoughts she didn't noticed that Chen Yu Lan was focused at looking at her own body. She noticed that she was slowly begining to fade away. After having her own internal struggle Chen Yu Lan finally looked up at Shen Mu Lan with a determined gaze.
"Lady Shen, if you do not mind I have a request of you." stated Chen Yu Lan as started at Shen Mu Lan with a determined gaze.
Sigh, I know that gaze anywhere whenever yu'er had this gaze it meant that no matter what whatever came out of her mouth had the upmost priority and I could never deny her when she looked at like that. All I could do was look back at this girl who looked straight back at me without any doubts in her eyes.
"Speak, what is it that I can do for you? " I stated as I looked back at her. Why did this young lady have to have the same face as yu'er? It just wasn't fair, I mean how can I say no!? sigh.
" Lady Shen, as you were given another chance at life by occupying my body. I wish for you complete my ambitions in this life time and only if you agree can you get full control of my body otherwise you will be unable to inhabit my body." Chen Yu Lan seriously stated as her eyes never once strayed from Shen Mu Lan.
"Child, this old women has already agreed to listen to your request. Go on tell me what can I do for you." I stared back at her to see her reaction but even then she still didn't waver.
"On my behalf I wish that Lady Shen would lead all the citizen through this turbulent time. The recently crowned emperor is an easy target of all the nobles and the court officials, wishing to upsurge the throne or control him from the dark thus causing the court to be hectic. With everyone trying to seize this chance the common people will suffer in the process for who knows how long."
I know that I just agreed to help this girl but maybe I had been too hasty with my answer earlier.
"Chen Yu Lan it's not that I am trying to back out of my agreement with you but how do plan to do this? I mean sure you're about to marry the emperor so you can gain some advantages but even then judging by the style of clothing you are wearing, women don't have much say on this time. Also you just stated that the emperor's position isn't stable so by marrying the emperor, this could cause your own downfall as well. With just these two factors how do still plan to complete this ambition of yours? "
"Lady Shen, about matters concerning these topics I have some backup plans in place for you." Chen Yu Lan stated calmly.
She looked so calm and serene that I couldn't help but wonder if she was really only 16 years of age. I mean most girls her age wouldn't be concerned about the people, at this age they should be thinking about how they look or finding a suitable partner. Just what caused this girl to grow up so quickly? I couldn't help but feel a sense of pity and worry for her, afterall she must have given up a lot of things to arrive where she is now only to have the door close on her before she even began. All I can do for her is stare back at her resolutely and answered her in a serious tone "Chen Yu Lan, this old lady swears that she'll complete these ambitions of yours in this life time of her. Afterall it's the least I can do since you're allowing me to occupy your body."
Chen Yu Lan couldn't help but stare back while her lips slowly crept up into a smile. "Lady Shen thank you for agreeing." Soon after she broke into tears and started sobbing.
I mean just how much did she have on her shoulders to break out crying like this!? Why was such a cute young girl carrying such a heavy burden to begin with? I sighed under my breath, I leaned over and hugged the sobbing girl into my arms. Really, why did she have to look so much like Yu'er, seeing her cry like this caused my heart to ache for her. I wonder how Yu'er is doing right now after recalling what she might have experienced.
Why did this have to happen to me? I lived a full life, all the pain, sorrows, and joy that come from living a long life has all pasted and ended. How can I end up here now? I mean I always did wondered what waits for you at the end of the road but this is beyond comprehension. But even so out of all the people in the whole universe why did God have to choose me!?
