8 Ritual room 4.1

"The Sage came to meet me yesterday. What could you have possibly said to your wife that she changed her mind so suddenly?" The bishop was examining the baby while talking. "..." The bishop smiled. "She didn't agree to this then. Wonderful." (What is he up to?)

For five minutes, the bishop was simply doing circles around the table, and leaning forward to have a closer look from time to time.

He did another turn around the table. "Very interesting indeed. Andro, I don't think I want to help you." He stopped on the other side of the table, facing Andro. "You... don't want?" The bishop sighed. "This case is within my powers, but not even all the gold in the world would make me do the ritual."

Andro almost fainted. "W-why? What do you want?" The bishop grinned. "I said gold, but there is something that can me change my mind..." (This bastard!) "Anything, I'll give you anything!" The bishop laughed. "Then... I want a beautiful elf, a little boy. Anything above thirty years is trash... But don't worry, it doesn't have to be this one. An ordinary boy is enough."

Andro's face was red from anger. "That might a little difficult. We don't have any boy this young in our village." The bishop's grin grew even larger. "What a shame... then, when I heal this one, he can belong to me. Do not worry, he will live a good life. I'll make sure that he grows healthy."

Various thoughts flashed on Andro's mind. Kill the bishop on the spot and run. Accept the proposal and rescue his son after the ritual. Let him live a life as a slave...

"Or... you can give me your wife." When the words coming from the bishop's mouth got into Andro's ears, he instantly leaped forward. Forming a claw with his hand, he stabbed the bishop's neck. "Even among humans, you're the most shameless I've ever seen." The bishop simply laughed.

Blood spurted out from the wound, dirtying Andro's face and one of the corners of the table. "Trying to kill a servant of god in the holy ground... However, I do not blame you. You're just an animal waiting to be tamed." Andro lost control over his body.

He took two steps back. "Now, how should I kill an animal in mayhem...?" The blood that spread over the room started converging back to the wound, and slowly it healed. "I actually don't care about a stray dog like you. Goodbye." With a flick of his hand, Andro's head was sent flying.

When his body dropped dead on the ground, all the attention of the bishop was already immersed in the baby on the table. "Now, how can I make you awake...?"
