2 Chapter 2: Leviathan School
Leviathan School is a school created by multiple country collaboration, located atop of a moving artificial island. This island move ever so slightly to change the coordinates. This island is enormous almost the same size of a country, the school took the space of almost 90% of the island.
The resource poured into this project is enormous, but it's return is also more enormous. Since the day this school has been made, countless Heroes rise prominently and they are stronger than before, protecting humanity which in return made the school gain even more recognisition and resource.
And Leon is one of those students, he create a six years system in this school, in this six years unpolished gems and rough diamonds can show their own shine. The more powerful you become the more resource you receive.
In this situation power can also mean fame.

With how vast the artificial island is, transportation that can be used by the students is required, they can use credits a type of currency which only usable in this island to pay for bus fee, or they can rent a bycycle, motor cycle and even a car.
Someone can gain credits by doing well in exams, or task given by the school, they can also actively trying to trade something for credits, etc.
The freshman welcoming is just a event for the freshman, first they will be briefed about the things they will do, which is surviving as long as 13 days in Eternal Desert, the name is imposing but there aren't really anything except for a few sandstorm, and a couple of low level monsters. However the most dangerous thing there is the enviroment because what would you expect from vast desert.
Water is sparce, and you have to gather the food yourself, and the school didn't give them the time to prepared, no even if they did prepared for this occasion, those item will be held by the school.
They must rely on hand to hand combat if there's monster, and they have to compete with other's for their survival, even then a students can give up by pressing a distress signal on their smart watch.
"Hello my cute juniors, my name is Robin" a senior is snickering, it seems he is the type of senior that want his junior to experience the same hell as he did.
"In Leviathan, there is a tradition that require you the freshman to survive"

"Don't worry we'll install a distress signal in each of your smart watch, you can press it if you want to give up, however I advise you to survive as long as you can, and if you can store the monster carcass, this is my advise" as a senior who have experience this event he feel regret not surviving as long as he can, he succumb to the temptation of giving up.

"Wait senior, do we really have to do this ?" A freshman say, as he rise his hand.
"Of course not, you can just give up when you at Eternal Desert"
"So in other words, all freshman have to be present there ?" A glasses freshman say, he is the character that he wrote, the name Kazuki Miyamoto.
After all the students of Leviathan is people from all over the world.
"And also if you can press the distress signal on your smart watch, does that not mean others can also press it to make you give eliminated ?" A girl is saying this, she is also one of his characters, the heir of one of the biggest guild for Heroes, Fire Sparks, Yun Hara.
"Smart, yes you have to be present, forfeiting is only accepted when you have step foot to the desert, also yes you are right other can be the one who presses your distress signal to eliminate you"
"Thanks, senior" without any further question, the freshmen follow their senior exiting the big auditorium.
With an island as big as a country, to have multiple planes is considered normal and also they are not normal planes, they are fortified passenger planes specialized for extreme weather and extreme temperature.

"Don't worry, Leviathan is highly logical, they won't give us something that cannot be cleared, there has to be a way"
"I believe so too, don't worry as long as you can find an oasis you can survive" a third person sit next to Licht, this person is Kazuki.
"Yes, you are right, an oasis will gather living form and someone can kill them to eat, that's a good idea, what's your name ?" Licht offers a handshake.
"My name is Kazuki Miyamoto, you can call me Kazuki" he took it.
"I'm Licht, and he is Leon," Licht says.
"Nice to meet you" Leon takes the handshake from Kazuki.
"But the problem will be how to find it, this will be really advantageous for those with water Attribute."
No one can refute this, after all this is clearly the stage for water Attributed freshmen.
