4 Enlightened The Truth

After thinking all night, about what was happening to me, I finally found the courage to stand for myself. I knew, If I would confront Arjun and my father, neither of them would listen to me, rather they would say just as used to say to me since the childhood,-" You must understand, You must adjust, It's your duty and responsibility as a princess and a lady." But I do not want to hear those anymore. Now is my time to bring the change. I won't lie, I am scared; I am scared that what would they react when they hear the truth? But for the first time, I was ready to take the risk of speaking without any fear. I waited for the sunrise today, much than I had any other days in my life. Finally, after 5 long hours, I see the sunlight. I asked Shaanti to make me ready for the court today.

My father, mother, and other ministers in the court were in little shock of been called so early. I reach on time, as were others. I started speaking addressing The king and the queen with greetings with others-" Greetings to father, Mother and all who are present here.

The king replied in a frown face-" What is it that u summoned us here today?

I replied-" there is very important something I need to bring to the notice of the king and the court.

One of the ministers looked at me and asked-" Yes princess, Tell us what is the matter?

I replied-" I have also asked the crown prince, Arjun to be present here today and my maid Shaanti.

My mother replied to this-" Is there anything wrong my dear?

With this discussion, Arjun entered in his usual knight armor as if he was returning after all-night hard work. Arjun looked at me and the court and before he speaks he greets the King and Queen and other ministers present over there.

Arjun-" Greeting from the crown prince to the King and Queen, and other valuable members of the court. Greeting to the princess." He turned towards me and ask-" What is the problem princess? Why do you need to summon the court/ If there were any problems you would have asked me instead, I would have looked at that matter personally."

I smiled at him and said-" The matter I am discussing over here is about you Arjun.

The court murmured with a feeble discussion of what was going on. Arjun turned towards me and clutched my hands in anger and said-" Is it about last night? If it is, we could have solved it in the room, there is no need to inform our personal matter in the court.

I smiled confidently at him and loosen my hands from his clutch, I turned to my father and ask-" father, as the princess of this kingdom, I am your daughter at first, I know your love and trust for Arjun is undeniable, But this man is not proper for this throne, or to be my husband.

There was a hush silence all over the court, they were looking at each other. The king looks terrified with my words and asked me-" what are you talking about Megha?

Arjun quickly tried to calm the situation and turned to father and said-" I am sorry my king, That she was being impulsive and had brought this little thing in the court and wasted your time. It is nothing, Just we had a small fight, she was merely angry."

Father got a hopeful smile and said-" I understand, being from the royal family, she had got this stubbornness from her father indeed. I understand now. I see she is angry, Arjun, you must look at this matter as soon as possible.

I was standing still having a cold face to this conversation. After father finished I said again-" It is not something personal I am talking here. I am here to prove a liar. And I do have all the proof, But before that, I need everyone in this court to listen to me; once I complete, you should judge basis on that." Everybody in the court looked at me with a keen eye to get an explanation of what is going on. I started by saying-" The man you all are believing today here is a liar. He not only had lied to me but also this kingdom, to my father, who had loved him unconditionally.

Arjun speaks with anger-" What rubbish are you talking about princess? I told you we can take this to our room to sort out.

I replied with a rage- " What if I do not wish to solve it Arjun? Yesterday night you showed me, what is your true form, you may have fooled all of us till now, but not anymore. with all due respect, I shall say this to my king, you have chosen a wrong heir to the throne,"

Father replied in confusion-" Please speak clearly what is going on, and why are these obligations are you putting on Arjun?

I replied- Father, yesterday night, Arjun came to my room in the midnight, drunken state, and despite being told to leave He force on me.

My father's eyes have become furious to hear this. Arjun immediately replied-" nonsense, My king, I did not do such cheap activity princess is stating here.

Before he could finish I started speaking again-" Not only that, He even hurt me, and for that, I do have an eye witness, my maid Shaanti.

Shaanti came forth and given her statement-" Yes my king, the princess was resting, and it was the time of midnight when his majesty came in and forced on the princess, She got several hurt during this, we have asked his majesty to leave immediately, but he didn't,"

with shaanti's statement, Arjun got a little nervous. My father got scared and asked-" You left the palace?

I replied-" Yes father I did, and this is not only the first time I did so, I go often to the nearest valley, to the Shiva temple. Arjun did know about this, But I asked to keep it a secret as I didn't want you to get worried about me.

My father gets tensed hearing this he asked-" My daughter are you been safe?

I replied-" don't worry father, I am safe and hence I am here standing. But today you must know what is he conspiring against this kingdom. When I followed him to the hailo village, I found a lady, with whom he got intimated, and accidentally I overheated their conversation. Arjun did not love me, or this kingdom ever, He only wants the throne and said something about my power. And it seems the power has got him hard to differentiate between good or bad. At first, I did not want to believe my ears, But slowly I understood his intention, So without wasting my time, I returned to the kingdom and informed the court.

Arjun seems shocked and nervous and couldn't speak properly, still, he managed his words and asked me-" This is all lie. Why are you doing this princess? Don't you feel ashamed to drag the crown prince with such obligation?

I simply smiled at him and turned to father again, I said-" To prove my words I have brought the lady here, His mistress.

The guards brought the lady into the court and she kneeled before the king. Arjun was terrified of seeing her. Arjun looked at me with his blank face. Within no time, the lady accepted the truth and given all the statements against Arjun. In the furious state, Arjun clutched her hair and pushed her down, In the rage, he said-" You do not worth to be my queen. What haven't I been not done for you? And you still dare to talk against me? I have only loved you since the first. I have made plans for us, And did you see now how you have ruined it?

My father immediately stood up and roared -" Enough! Arjun you have disappointed me. Your father was a nobleman and was a great friend of mine. But you are nothing like him. guards take him to the prison.

I saw the guards dragging him to the prison and with his angry face he said to me"- this isn't over princess. “
