Theron's Second Chance.

A knock on the door pulls me from my thoughts. I leave my office and head down the hall to the living room. Xander is out taking care of pack matters and I was doing all of his paperwork.

"I can hear you Nyx run faster. At the sound of my father's voice I quickly run and answer the door. "It's good to see you old man!" I say and throw my arms around his neck. He laughs and Hugs me back. "You look good Kiddo." I nod and look up at him. He looks good but stressed. His blonde hair is longer than before and I can see some stress lines between his eyes.

"Come in, Xander is out with Kostas doing some training. He has changed things up a bit. He wants to make sure they are handling it well." I say and lead him into the house. "Sounds like everything is going well." he says as he sits down. "It is. I'm hungry, are you hungry?" I ask suddenly. Theron narrows his eye at me. "Spill it Nyx."

I look up at my father. He has always known when something was bothering me. "What if Xander won't want me when he finds out about my past?" I say letting all my emotions play across my eyes.

"Nyx I know you never really told me what you did. But remember the man has lived a long time. I am sure he has done some things he isn't proud of either."

I nod. "I'm also pregnant. I tried to shift this morning and my wolf wouldn't let me. It's early but that's the only reason she wouldn't let me shift." I say while fiddling with my hands.

"Are you sure? I can't hear a heartbeat" he says. I can tell he is excited though. "I don't know Daddy." I say and lay back on the couch.

"Come on Kiddo. Let's go get food." he says standing and taking my hand. We leave the house and walk down to the little Cafe.

"There are more humans here than before." Theron says as we walk. "Almost 100 of them are. Maybe more, We don't want to keep them away. Most of them know what we are as they are mates." I explain.

We continue walking. It's a nice day, warm with a slight breeze. the sun is bright making all the colors of the island stand out. We stop at a few shops along the way. My father buys a few things then we make it to the Cafe.

Once at the Cafe I notice my father is on alert. "Pop what's wrong?" I ask he ignors me "Not possible" he whispers. I look up and see him and Cora in a trance. "Mate!" my father yells and Cora runs to him. She jumps into his arms. It takes me a few minutes to register what happend.

I look around to make sure there are no tourists in site. If so I'll have to do some work on their minds and erase what they saw. thankfully I do not see anyone. Then my eyes lock with Xander and Kostas. I see worry cross his face as he sees our parents. Because my father is an Alpha Cora will go with him. Hopefully we have someone in the pack that can take over the Cafe. It's a big source of income for everyone.

"Don't worry, Kostas and his mate can take care of it." Xander days through our mind link. I nod and turn and look at my father. He is scared but he needs a new Luna and he knows it. His wolf is getting out of hand without any pups around. He would slowly go crazy without her. He spent years trying to find my mate. His wolf became obsessed with it. Must have been his way of keeping his wolf under control.

Theron seems to snap out of the trance he is in and puts Cora down. He looks at me with concern. "Dad this is Cora, she is Kostas' mother. Now I can officially say he is my brother!" I say with excitement. I see my father visibly relax as he looks down at the beautiful women. "I can't wait to be a big brother! Can you imagine what our little siblings will look like?" Kostas says slapping Theron on the back and hugging his mother. Then walks into the Cafe so he can take over for her. "Why don't you both go get to know each other. Kostas can handle the Cafe and we will help." Xand says to Cora who looks worried, the Cafe has been all that's kept her sane over the years.

"We got this." I say looking my dad in the eyes. He nods and leads Cora away. "Well that's a kick I'm the nuts." I say to Xander who laughs at my choice of words. "I would like to be nut deep in you now." I shiver at the thought but my wolf let's our a growl. I grab Xanders hand and lead him away from the Cafe. I mind link a few teenagers that have worked at the Cafe before and tell them to help Kostas. Xander raises his eyebrows ay me but follows.

I lead him down to the beach. He is in light blue swimming trunks and a white T shirt and no shoes. Once we get to my favorite spot I flop down in the sand. "My love what's wrong?" Xander says and sits next to me. "My wolf won't let me shift and she doesn't want you to touch me." I say looking into his eyes. They turn purple and he pulls me into a hug. "I don't hear a heartbeat." he mumbles. I hold back my tears. It's common in werewolves to loose pupes but not vampires. They always carry the child since it takes a lot for them to get pregnant. "Do you trust me Nyx?" Xander ask as he looks down at me. I nod at him and smile.

He pauses and I can tell he is mind linking someone. He pulls me to my feet and leads me back to our home. Inside I see Xanders father, my father and Cora. "I'm sorry Theron I need to take Nyx to see someone who will make sure she isn't going to lose the baby. Can you help Kostas?" Lucians eyes light up at this and Theron nods. "Go, Theron and I planned on staying for the wedding any way then leaving. Go love," she says to me and puts a strand of my strawberry blonde hair behind my ear. I smile at her and nod. Xander then packs a bag for each of us and tells me to wait by the door.

After a few minutes Xander and Lucian are beside me. "I promise this will not hurt the baby." Lucian says to me. I feel my wolf getting nervous but I quickly calm her. Lucian takes Xander and I by the hands and I feel everything go dark for a second. All of a sudden I am in a heavy wodded area and it's hot and muggy. "Were are we?" I ask Xander. "The Amazon rain Forest. You and I are not the only ones Nyx we just don't want the Vampire elders to know about them." Xander says to me. I look at him in shock. Then I turn to Lucian.

"Lucian is this why you had me track and kill the 32 vampire's that had been here?" I ask him. Lucian nods and I can feel Xanders anger through our bond. "Son I had to protect them just as I have you." Lucian explains. It doesn't seem to help Xanders anger any.

Xander starts leading us through the dense forest. I start to get tired but I refuse to slow down. I am definitely pregnant Normally I would love this. Eight now I hate it and may kill Xander later. I feel my wolf growl at that thought too. "Bitchy much." I say Xandsr stops and looks at me. "Oh sorry I was talking to my wolf." I says quickly. Xander looks down at me and then smiles. He picks me up and starts to carry my bridal style. I protest but he just growls at me. That's when I realize it's his wolf and I better not argue.

We walk for a few more miles. I soon realize the reason we could not teleport closer was a protection spell. As we get to a clearing a tall women steps forward and she says "Xander and Nyx. I've been expecting you."
