Characters list

This is a work in progress. New characters will be added as the story progresses.

Wei Yunchen - the main character. He was a peak stage Saint in the divinity world, part of the Flaming Sun Order, a religious sect that embarked on a campaign against necromancer forces. After losing his friends, he loses the will to fight and decides to enter the cycle of rebirth. He becomes the son of Wei Yance and Shang Yunfei.

Venerable Ancestor - peak Ancestor realm cultivator. Head of the Flaming Sun Order sect. Also teacher of Mc's former life. On the way of becoming Deity when Mc decides to enter the cycle of rebirth. Will reappear in the story later.

Wei Yance - father of Mc and husband of Shang Yunfei. Current head of the Wei family. A middle-stage Venerable cultivator.

Shang Yunfei - mother of Mc and wife of Wei Yance. A basic-stage Venerable cultivator. Her father died in an ambush when she was a baby after her mother died giving birth to her. Raised in Wei household by Wei Yance's parents. She fell in love with Wei Yance and later married him. She was peak Grandmaster when she gave birth to Mc.

Wei Yunliang - grandfather of Mc, father of Wei Yance and father-in-law of Shang Yunfei. Patriarch of the Wei family. Him and Yunfei's father were friends and disciples of the same master. When his friend died, he took his daughter into his household, later marrying her with his son. At the beginning of the story he is a peak Venerable realm cultivator.

Zhao Shuqin - wife of Wei Yunliang, grandmother of Mc, mother of Yance and mother-in-law of Yunfei. Matron of the Wei family. She and her husband raised Yunfei since she was a baby and prefers her over her own son. Now she dotes on Mc, her only grandson. Peak Grandmaster realm cultivator.

Shang Fengbo - Father of Shang Yunfei. Lost his life in an ambush leaving his daughter as an orphan to be raised by his friend and disciple-brother Wei Yunliang.

Lian Lingxue - mother of Shang Yunfei. Wife of Shang Fengbo and younger disciple-sister of both Fengbo and Yun Liang. Died after giving birth to Yunfei.

Jiang Wenyue - last friend and possibly love interest of Mc that died. Her death was the final straw in making him decide to enter the cycle of rebirth. Unbeknownst to Mc, their teacher took her soul and sent her into reincarnation before she could be damnead to a life as a servant of a necromancer.

Jiang Yuanfan - father of Jiang Wenyue. He is a middle stage Ancestor realm cultivator. Lost his legitimate wife and Wenyue was given birth by a concubine. Relatives pressure him to marry Wenyue into the Imperial family. During a journey through Mc's home town, they meet once more while he's playing the flute. He appreciates the young man's talent and gives him some pointers in his sword fighting style.

Wei Taotao - second cousin of Mc. Has a crush on him, but he sees her as a little sister.

Wei Danxuan - older brother of Taotao. Went as a disciple of The Five Culminations sect, where he becomes the great elder's personal disciple. Great fighter with a spear.

Wei Dongyi - father of Taotao and Danxuan. Cousin of Yance and nephew of Yunliang. Elder of the Wei family. Designated as money manager. Had a feud with Yance because of Yunfei and tries to make Mc's life harder than necessary. Also disapproves of his daughter's feelings.

Zhen Ming - Great elder of the Five Culminations sect, Danxuan's master. Has a feud with Mc because of Danxuan.
