The Wrong Book

After what felt like hours of running around the library you are drenched in sweat and completely exhausted.

Yet you still haven't been able to find a technique, You've even tried picking up a book yourself but its like they have some sort of seal on them that can only be unlocked by your flame.

"Maybe I can throw another flame at a book and unlock it I gotta look for the best technique before I try though."

You walk around for about 5 minutes and find a glowing golden book with a metal plaque underneath that reads -This is the skill book of our sect leader warning to all chosen to use this book shall receive immense power.-

"Perfect Noah's gonna be so jealous I'm gonna have the best technique in the sect."

You do a short victory dance before summoning a flame on the tip if your finger and shooting it at the book.

The book begins to glow dark red as the little flame turns black bounces off and knocks an old worn out journal off the shelf you pick it up and rub some dust off the cover the title reads, -Journal Of A Mad Man-

"Why is a journal in a library full of techniques I'll just put it back."

You attempt to place it back on the shelf but you are blocked by what appears to be a force field preventing you from putting it back.

"I guess I'll just leave it here"

You blow off another flame and it falls straight down and lands on the old journal.

You look down in disbelief "Maybe I need to use more mana?"

You repeat the process using twice as much mana and your flame drop straight down on top of the notebook.

"what..."

You try it a few more time but aval l get the same results you walk back over to your dad when you notice he's talking to someone.

You peek around the corner only to see Noah and Mr.Green talking to your dad you duck down and listen.

"So you came here to get Noah a book huh?" Your dad says with a cheeky smile.

"Yea-"

"What else would I be here for you half-wit!" Mr.Green replies with an irritated tone

"How wasn't your key taken by the elders for forcefully trying to unseal the sect leaders book?"

"Always bringing up the past Noah go find a book I need to talk with him in private."

"yes, master, by the way, is Liz here?"

"Why the hell would that matter just go look for a strong technique."

Noah nods but when he looks up your eyes catch his glance he turns away and darts around the corner.

'Did he see me?'

"Oh, so you don't want your student to know how selfish you are huh?"

"Shutup, let's settle this as men follow me."

When they get to the door your dad puts a strange looking key into the door and they exit with a bright flash of light.

You let out a sigh as you pull the disgusting mess of a book out of your robe and frown like you expecting a completely different book to be there.

"Well, this is what my flame chose maybe it could be good."

As you open up the journal you hear a voice behind you say, "So you're the one who has my journal."

You jump back in terror falling on your butt and immediately summon your flames preparing for a fight.
