The Man Dresses In The Black Robes

When you look up you see an ominous Dark figure wearing, dirty black robes with broken chains wrapped around his wrist trailing behind him, leaving a high pitch screeching sound that sends chills down your spine.

His voice was Hoarse and smooth yet strangely familiar. He takes a knee and stretches his hand out towards the dingy book.

'I can't move...Why can't I move?'

You try with all your might to get up but the pressure coming from his presence alone was too much for you to bare.

You begin to shake as the figure's hand moved at what appeared to be slow motion. He grabs the book and suddenly the journal starts to glow after a few seconds It looks brand new and the pages increased more than three times what it was before.

You look up in shock as the once dirty and torn cover is a dark brown and pages go from tattered and barely readable text to nice crisp pages with beautiful handwriting.

The figure lets out a sigh and tosses you the book as he turns around to leave.

"See ya later kid."

"Wait who are you?"

The man stops and looks back at you as he says "Don't tell anyone you saw me"

A cloud of smoke fills the room making it nearly impossible to see, but when the smoke clears he's gone.

" What the hell, he could have at least answered my question!"

All of sudden you feel a gust of wind rushes past you when you turn around you see Noah who immediately pulls into his warm embrace.

"I'm so glad you're ok."

He holds you for a few seconds then lets you go.

"What do you mean your glad I'm ok."

'Is he talking about the cloud of smoke... Should I tell him, I mean I don't even know the guy why would I keep his secret.'

"I was worried when I saw the smoke coming from this direction I saw over here earlier but I thought I might blow your cover if I came over here immediately."

"Yeah I'm ok you don't have to worry." You say with a laugh.

'So he didn't see him I guess there is no point in going out of my way to tell him what happened.'

You both talked for what felt like hours, you caught him up on everything that happened for the past two weeks about you unlocking your flames and how you learned other ways to meditate, while he told you all the secret cultivation techniques that he learned from Mr.Green.

After a while, a bright light fills the room and your dad and Mr.Green walk through the door.

"I told you that a Serpent can't beat a Dragon." your dad says with a Big Smile on his face.

"I told you that the stupid barrier got in the way my serpent style can easily defeat a dragon!"

"I believe you, come on Liz let's go you can study your book when we get home."

You wave goodbye as your dad puts his key into the door and you both step into the light.
