16 Oh so he's sleeping.

The stars illuminated the cold and dark sky on this certain night. It was on a desert and no living soul could be seen in miles save for two.

Akeem and his grand eagle. Akeem was currently hovering next to the fire while meditating. The air around him felt heavy which could also be seen by the wildly dancing fire.

His Grand eagle had currently curled up and was asleep. It was 2 metres tall even when curled up however when it stood it was a whooping 4 metres with literal fiery eyes.

What happened to the two Witchers that the king had sent to escort his son?

Well they didn't see eye to eye on something so ....

A number of graves needed to be dug which was now currently 10 metres away from the campsite.

The heavy pressure around Akeem slowly receded as he opened his eyes.

He straightened his legs from the original lotus position before fluidly descending from his levitation.

After touching the ground he walked to his grand eagle.

The eagle feeling the touch of its master it woke up .

It looked at the currently red eyes of its master with some slight fear.

Akeem sensing this just petted it.

" Don't worry am not currently affected. " He said.

The eagle slightly nodded at those words of assurance.

" Good then , let's go to the Den of thieves. " He said.

He jumped to the back of his eagle.

The eagle shuffled it's wings then started running to north.

It erected it's wings of a 6 metre wingspan as it ascended to the skies.

* Two hours later *

Den of thieves , a town with the greatest thieves in the country.

It had all kinds of people. Thieves, mercenaries for hire , information brokers, prostitutes and drug dealers.

Generally a place of lawlessness and the main reason for Akeem coming here was to start his matchmaking .

Why go so far to hook two people up ? Their daughter of course, a child with one of the greatest destruction energies he ever felt.

While he was in the air, he set his sights at a bar.

The bar's exterior looked like a western cowboys bar in the movies.

Even from the air he could hear the shouts, grunts and curses of the people in the bar with the occasional magic spells.

He descended to where some grand horses had been tied.

Once he alighted he petted his bird.

" Remember Little One, if anyone tries to steal you don't hesitate to roast them "

The eagle squawked in understanding.

He nodded as he walked to the bar.

The smell of beer and vomit assaulted his sense of smell however he ignored it.

Just as he was about to enter a man suddenly flew out of the bar to which he easily dodged.

The man sprawled to the ground and slowly stood up still staggering with a beer in hand.

He looked to the bar while uttering profanities before walking away.

Akeem could here the deep laughs of the men inside however the moment he entered silence reigned and all eyes locked on him.

He could sense the number of prying eyes increase as most people tried to feel a sense his strength.

He had set his strength to grandmaster strength. This was enough for most people to feel intimidated and ignore him . And just as he predicted most people turned back to do what they were doing.

He walked to the table behind the bartender.

He heaved a heavy ' tired ' sigh. A bartender approached him.

A lady with blue skin , green hair and eyes. She was quite beautiful, one of the few people even Akeem would say is quite pretty and he had a high standard as beauties were quite common to him.

In such a Den , she should have already been kidnapped and sold or found somewhere in the gutter raped to death.

However her no one would dare to do that because.....

Akeem looked at her energy. Controlled and calm, yet so powerful.

Her energy was Saint level but her level of control was so high which signified she was hiding her true strength.

" What can I get for you ?" She asked as she stared at Akeem with a small genuine smile.

" Some rum please" He said as he looked at her with her hint of lust.

" And some of you too~ " He said in a seductive voice.

The bartender still smiled as he poured rum for him .

" Here's your drink and as for myself you'll have to defeat me first " The bartender winked at him as he slightly blushed.

" In what kind of way?" He asked.

The bartender smile increased.

" A fight of course" She said.

In some cultures to marry a girl you had to defeat her in a duel. It was a kind of system that birthed the strongest of the strongest beings as only the strongest could mate with well the strongest.

This made Akeem disappointed as he drank the rum.

" Just my luck " he grumbled.

The bartender raised one of her eyebrows.

" What's wrong darling?" She asked sweetly.

Akeem took another drink.

" Today's like the worst day of my life" He said in a sad tone as his gazed absentmindedly at his drink

" Oh tell me darling. It's good to talk about your problems. " The bartender said.

" Well my wife just left me for my rival, The king ordered my superior to look for a praxis core on the fog hills . We arrived there and I was the only one who survived. " He said in a sad tone as tears started streaming his face.

The bartender patted him as she added some more rum .

" Am really sorry to here that, you must have cared about them ? " She asked

" Of course we may have not been of blood, but we were brothers. That's until those bitches ended them " He said in anger clenching his glass until it broke.

As if he had broken away from a trance.

" Oh am sorry , I didn't mean it " He said apologetically.

" It's understandable , I'll get someone to clean it later meanwhile why don't you have this cup, on the house of course " She said as she poured an expensive brand of beer.

" T-thanks, you're so nice " He said the last part with a blush.

" Oh you're welcome, anything to make my customers comfortable. So what are you going to do after this ?" She asked curiously.

The bartender watched as his facial expression shifted to anger.

" Am going to kill those bitches, I don't know how but I'll find a way. " He said while gritting his teeth in anger.

" Oh , you're pretty strong am pretty sure you'll find a way to defeat them " The bartender said.

This made Akeem slowly clench his fist.

" To be honest I'm not , 4 of my superiors were Grand Witchers and yet ..... and yet they were killed so easily. By one lady!! And from what I heard she was one of those bitches recruits!" He shouted in anger and fear attracting attention.

The bartender internally sighed. She saw that this man in front of him was trying to show strength but he couldn't hid his fear from his enemies.

" So how many were there ?" She asked cutely and as if thoroughly engrossed in her story.

" I don't know but around 80 of them . Savage women they were but one of them stood out the most. She was so strong and had some divinity, no doubt a demigod. " He said it slightly strongly making the people in the bar hear him.

Greed appeared in their eyes as they looked at each other with bloodlust in their eyes.

Who wouldn't? After all demigods were a very rare commodity. If you captured one alive you'd receive money that would last 8 of your future generations.

" Oh a demigod, how strong was she?"

" She was definitely twice as strong as the Lady who killed my friends " He said in anger.

He was about to say something else but a magic circle appeared on his right palm.

He widened his eyes before he ran out of the bar.

He jumped to his eagle.

" Fly !! Before they reach me ! " He shouted in fear as his eagle spread it's wings and flew away.

* At the bar *

The bartender smiled. She then looked to her customers.

" You heard him boys!! Let's go hunt ourselves some praxis core and a stinking demigod. "

The crowd that was quiet roared in thrill as they got out in quick succession.

The bar that had been packed remained with the waiters and the bartender.

The bartender made a small smirk.

" What a cunning young lad. " She commented as she recalled those red eyes. Eyes she knew all too well.

The eyes only seen in rare people including the Dark Seer in one of his many forms

* With Akeem*

He was currently sitting on his eagle as he flew up to the sky.

" Hmm now we wait, don't we . Queen of The Heretics?" He said.

He closed his eyes feeling the cold air then he suddenly remembered something.

" Oh , I wonder how the father to my future pawn is doing?" He said as his eyes gave a purplish glow and his gem glowed too.

•••••••••

Akeem saw carnage, bloodshed and death. He could see from a slight distance a person conered with the Guild of Assassins sorrounding the said person.

He couldn't care for the person as his gaze shifted to Cole.

He currently had half of his head blown away as his lifeless eyes stared in the direction of another corpse.

" Oh so he's sleeping " .
