The sun was rising, the green grasses had their morning dew however as 6 six legged horses passed, the dew fell to the earth which greedily sucked it in.
The group of 6 had exited the village about 30 minutes ago.
Their first destination was a small city called Lustville which was 3 days away . And nearly every inhabitant near that place knew why it was called Lustville.

Currently Mia and Lyka shared a horse as Lyka excitedly taught her .
Lovette seemed to be sleeping.
The two lovebirds were currently excitedly chatting with each other. If Cole was paying attention to them he would say they were recently married.
Cole on the other hand sat down meditating according to the grimoire.

The road led to a forest nicknamed Death's Embrace.
It was inhabited by Goblins, orcs and Warthog beasts.
The orcs had however signed a treaty with humans this they were not the problem .
The problem was the other two.
The goblins were very ... Lustful. And when they saw women they would become frenzied.
The warthog beasts were very territorial and had a disposition of killing anything that entered their territory.
This warthogs were anything but normal. They were called Grand Warthogs as an adult sized warthog was the size of an average human.
Animals with the term ' Grand ' had been mutated by mana making them stronger and enhancing one of their traits.
This would be like literally entering Death's embrace however luckily they had three masters on their side.
The title ' Master ' was granted to people who could subdue 100 men .
They were comparable to peak rank 8.
They entered the Death's embrace and Mia slightly shuddered.
" Hey it's ok , when am here no one will get to you " Lyka told her making relax.
" If you say so , then I'll trust you " Lyka gave a happy smile hearing Mia say this.

The sun was currently setting and shadows were creeping in making the forest slightly more scary.
Mia and Lyka had started complaining constantly 3 hours ago.
No one could blame them , the journey was tiring.
Cole never stopped meditating even for a second despite acquiring the passive skill

Mia and Lyka practically jumped off and fell down onto the grass .

Lovette sighed as she stretched herself on the horse.
She then jumped down as she did a full body stretch.
Cole on the other hand was still meditating. Meditating had a way of dulling every other sense kind of like sleep.
So throughout the process he wasn't fully aware what was happening.
" Hey Mia , doesn't your cousin kinda creepy? " Lyka asked.
" How ? " Mia asked inquisitively.
" Well he just kinda stays there meditating, he doesn't talk to people " Lyka said.
" Yeah he's kinda weird " Mia agreed but didn't deliver into it deeper.
Lovette was about to open the food ration but Lockley advised against it.
" We should hunt while we're in this forest considering it has abundant resources. We'll save the food rations when we're crossing the desert. " Lockley stated making Lovette sigh.
" Ok Priscilla let's go hunt " Lovette said. She said it casually but her body was twitching.
" Can't, need to prepare an earth spell to protect us when we sleep. " Priscilla said.
This made Lovette internally groan , she sure as hell wasn't going to ask her brother who so happens to be loud.
At this place it would be hard as it wouldn't attract goblins and she wanted to save as much ki as possible.
" So who do I go with?" She muttered but Priscilla heard it.
" Just go with Mr . Quiet over there " Priscilla said.
Lovette was about to protest but then refrained herself.
That was actually a good idea.
Cole who was meditating suddenly felt a tap.
He slowly opened his eyes to see the group preparing a camp . He was slightly surprised to see it's already dark but didn't show it outwardly.
" Hey Coley, wanna go hunt ?"
He turned to see Lovette. He internally frowned on his nickname but didn't say anything.
He pondered for a bit before.

He agreed because is served his interest of seeing the geography of this place just in case of an attack .
He also felt he had to exercise his body or at least stretch it.
And finally he wanted to observe Lovette's unique way of seeing.

" Alright let's get going then " She then grabbed him out of the horse.
Cole was visibly surprised as Lovette dragged them out of the camp.
" Where are you 2 going ?" Lyka asked seeing his sister drag the man he called creepy.
Lovette enthusiasm faded.
" For a walk . Nothing much " Lovette couldn't tell his brother that they were going hunting because he would whine why he isn't going.
Lyka shrugged at that and the two continued on their way.
At first it was silence as the noise from the camp slowly died down.
Cole used the time to observe the area. He noticed that ironically there was no animal on sight.
It was eerily quiet. This managed to put the two on guard.
" Some strong beast must be nearby" Lovette said.
Cole didn't refute.
" Come on there's a river about half a kilometer away. There's fish swimming there. " Lovette said.
She led the way as he followed behind.
In no time they both heard the sound of a river. It's sound was small signifying it was a small river.
Lovette took out her bow , approaching the river as she aimed and shot fish down one by one.
Cole was surprised at her accuracy.
" How do you do it ?" Cole asked.
" It talks ? " Lovette said while giving her words a dramatic flair.
Cole just rolled his eyes.
" Be more specific Coley " Lovette said irking Cole with that nickname.
" How do you ' see ' " Cole asked.
" Oh that's simple, I ... Watch out " Suddenly without warning Lovette pushed Cole without warning before a large creature suddenly hit her.
She flew like a ragdoll to a tree breaking it half way.
Cole gasped in shock seeing the creature. It was a grand Warthog !!
But this one seemed different. And the difference was because it was 4 metres tall.
It's horns and legs were metallic. Cole remembered researching this on the bestiary before they started their journey.
This was a beast Lord. It needed upto Three Mage or Martial masters to fight it .
This wasn't his fight.
' Life taught me to pick battles that I could win . This isn't one ' Cole said as he jumped away from the beast vicinity.
Luckily it wasn't concentrated on him otherwise he was certain to die.
Out of the fallen tree emerged Lovette. She was bleeding. Her leg seemed to be injured so she definitely couldn't run but despite that she took out her bow giving an unearthly growl.
" Come at me you fucking beast !! "
The beast charged at her.
The arrow loaded suddenly gave a bright blue light before being fired to the beast.
It hit it's eye making it roar in anger however this made it just increase it charging speed.
Lovette was once again sent flying this time breaking two trees, the third cushioned his floor.
Cole was about to run to the campsite knowing full well she was going to die if he did that .
' She's not my problem, better ..... ' His thoughts were interrupted.
An image flashed on his mind . An image that always questioned his decisions.
He stopped giving out a small growl.
" Fine , I'll help her . Happy" He said seemingly to thin air.
He changed his position and ran towards the source of danger.
Opening his inventory and taking two daggers.

Currently Lovette saw the beast charging for another ram.
She knew this would be her last. She couldn't dodge.

Her view then shifted to her annoying brother. The one she promised to take care of.
Unknowingly tears started streaming down her face.
