The only hope would be to transfer the consciousness of the twelve billion people who make up the human race into a next generation virtual reality game that was designed as a way to cheat death and have an out of body experience. A broken family of five has found their way into Zion by making less than savory sacrifices. But when they get there they realize that with each passing day life in Zion gets more and more realistic, as each and every single one of them is swept up into a cacophony of events that change and mold them into a family with great power and great destiny.
