1 Prologue:

In the beginning, the world was broken and desolate. The desolate world was barren. The only thing that the world had was dirt. This world was absent of any god or any celestial beings.

Minor gods had been pushed or left their original worlds. These gods were the weakest in their worlds and could not get stronger. As they arrived on the world they began to pour their strengths into it. The world began to develop, turning into various shades of green, blue and brown. The once desolate world became a world brimming with life and magic essence.

Animals were the first to inhabit this world for they were easier for the gods to understand and watch how they evolve. This was to ensure that they didn't create a monster that could become stronger than their creators. Among the gods was one that didn't fear this possibility and decided that the creatures of this world should not be limited to their original form. This god was named Solus. Solus gave the animals the ability to become stronger than their counterparts. These animals evolved and developed faster than other creatures, essentially wiping out most of the basic animals. The animals Solus influenced became known as magic beasts.

The other gods were furious with Solus and decide that Solus would have to create intelligent begins in the image of the each of the gods. Solus accepted this punishment. The first race was created in the image of Aorelius, the God of Death and Destruction. This race would later be known as Demons. One hundred years following the creation of the Demon race, a race made in the image of Taldeer, the Goddess of Protection and Moon. They were later be known as the Elves. Fifty years following the Elves, Dwarves were created in the image of Vulcan the God of Pride and Strength. Close to a quincentenary later two more races followed - Beastkin made in the image of Drakius the Goddess of Life and Solitude and Humans made from the image of Cupidtas the God of Greed and Survivability. As his punishment ended Solus decided to use his creations and make different versions of the races to insult the other gods. He created Dark Elves, Goblins, Orcs, undead, and Ogres. The Gods and Goddesses ignored Solus to focus on their races. Until Taldeer discovered the Dark Elves and decided to bless them the same as the elves. The Goblins, Orcs, Ogres and the undead were not blessed by any of the gods and were given the same chances of evolution that the magical beasts had.

Solus, unsatisfied by this, began to create gates and hidden portals that would allow one to become stronger. These gates were twisted and corrupted by the creatures living within by Solus's rage. To hide the gates, only those he deemed to be his champion could enter. Being a champion did not guarantee they were strong enough to defeat what was within the gate. Solus spread the gates across the entire world as he went in search for his so-called champions. Solus's champions were different for each other - some were strong, and some were the weakest of the weak. Solus didn't watch over the champions. In the end, every champion died within the first gate they entered. This resulted in the gates becoming stronger.

When the gods and goddess discovered that the strongest of the races began to disappear, their only conclusion was Solus. They decided to punish Solus was significantly. They stripped Solus of the majority of his power and sealed him within the void between life and death. The consequences of this decision were costly. Magic users dwindled in numbers. Using magic became less common.

This world reformed by the gods is known as Desolaverunt. Desolaverunt has equal parts of water and land, with one large land mass. Kingdoms of every race formed across the world. The humans had four kingdoms within the northwest of the continent. One of these kingdoms was large, two were medium sized and a the last smaller than the others. The elves had three kingdoms, all equal in size, located in the north and northeast. The dwarves had three as well. Two were equal in strength and one was superior; their kingdoms were on the eastern side of the content. Beastkin had two kingdoms equal in strength in the south. The demons had a single kingdom and controlled the southwest. The land not controlled by any race is either neutral or magic beast territory.

A treaty between humans, elves and dwarves was created to ensure there would be no interference within their controlled land. Beastkin kingdoms did not engage in war unless it was inevitable. Demons cared not for any other races but its own, so they engaged in conflict frequently.

Magic that exists within the world:

Ice - Subclass of water

Lighting – Subclass of wind

The chance of a magic user in the races:

Human - 10% of possibility to be born with magic, but less than 2% of the 10% become actual mages

Elves – 50% of a possibility, but only 45% of the 50% become mages

Dwarves – 25% of a possibility, but 10% of the 25% become mages

Beastkin – 9% of possibility, 3% of the 9% become mages

Demons – 35% of possibility all become mages

Mages are classified as a high magic essence individual that only uses magic.

Skills also exist in this world but cannot be seen by normal mortals. The individual learns the name of the skill after a certain time. It's almost as if a vision or a whisper says the name to the person. Skills have a limited number of uses per day, draining stamina each use. Passive skills are hardly ever known to the user. Skills are earned for feats or training, as well as earned for grimoires allowing the user to know the skill name as they use it. Grimoires are usually given to mages. They are very rare to find as well as expensive and mages usually don't train to earn skills.
