"I assure compensation has been given out, though it was given to the fallen soldiers family not to any of you." City Lord Hemis

'Cheap bastard. Using our force for a battle and not even giving us anything in return.' The nobles in the room thought.

"If that's the case. Then will there be any benefits from the battle; when you used our forces." Noble 2 asked.

"Yes. But the benefits will pertain to percentage of soldiers that were given. So, in saying only three family will receive an benefit: the Ash Family, the Jinx Family, and the Fulox Family. The rest of the noble family's soldiers would barely be able to get a coupon." City Lord Hemis said was distain.

"How can you say that when our soldiers still helped you win." The First three nobles said with anger in their tone.

"Won. Are you that stupid? We would have lost that battle if the demons didn't appear. The both of us agreed to have a draw in order to kill those demons and protect our cities." City Lord Hemis said with clear annoyance.

"If you wish to prolong the effect of you possibly having benefits. I would give you advise and leave my house now, before I banish you all from the city." City Lord Hemis

The first three nobles left in a hurry after hearing this from City Lord Hemis. The only ones that remained were the heads of the Ash, Jinx, and Fulox Family.

"Now that the annoying filchers are gone I will give your benefits to you. This document is allowing you three to be in second of command of this city, and if am I not here you three will be in charge of the city." City Lord Hemis

The documents were given to each of the family heads. This document may sound like more responsibility, but it can allow one to change rules when the City Lord is around, or if he is dead and not reported to the Kingdom. This is usually a substantial amount of trust between the two, but greed leads to many outcomes.

Near the First Battlefield: {<I am going to be starting, putting location names when it changes between characters.>}

Koa was staring at the large pitch-black wolf. The wolf was the size of a pony {54 inches tall}, and nearly as wide as one {30 inches from shoulder to shoulder}. The wolf looked as if it was searching drastically for food. Then its light green eyes locked with Koa's eyes. Koa felt a cold chill creep down his spine.

"I guess I have as much luck as a black cat." Koa muttered under his breath.

Koa stood up, holding his crude hunter's dagger. He prepared himself for the fight with the pitch-black wolf.

'I fought against trained soldiers and demons; a mere lone wolf will be not so hard.' Koa thinking in his head.

The wolf started to head towards Koa. The wolf started to full out sprint, but then like if it didn't exist it disappeared. Koa was startled by this outcome and let his guard down.

"Am I seeing things…" Koa spoke.

After saying that Koa was attacked from behind, causing him to fall face first on to the ground. After he hit the ground Koa quickly recovered from his hesitation and got back to his feet staring at the pitch-black wolf that appeared from behind. There was four large claw marks on his back that was bleeding profusely.

"Ahhh. That hurts. Now how did you get behind me?" Koa said as look at the wolf.

Only a low growl could be heard from the wolf.

"Hmm. Not a talker; more of kill now ask questions later." Koa

After Koa finished talking, the fight resumed. The pitch-black wolf vanished before Koa's eyes again. Koa was not caught off guard this time, he waited for the moment the pitch-black wolf would reveal itself. The pitch-black wolf revealed itself after a few seconds and was on Koa's backside again. Koa moved away but was still cut by the claws. The cuts were not as deep as the previous, but still hurt.

'Ahhhh dammit. He can still cut even when my attention is on him.' Koa thought as he gritted his teeth.

The pitch-black wolf just charged toward Koa as he was thinking. The pitch-black wolf pounced on him; Koa was held down by the wolf. Koa struggled underneath the wolf; the wolf lunged its teeth toward Koa's throat.

"uckk" was the only sound at the next moment.

Koa managed to get his arm out from under the wolf and jammed it into it mouth. The wolf was surprised by this but bite down on Koa's arm anyway. Koa heard the creaking of his bones in his arm.

"ugh You fucker, you are not going to kill me or get my arm that easily." Koa said with his red eyes staring into the wolf's.

Koa's hand grabbed the tongue in the back of its throat and started to squeeze and pull it. This made the wolf feel like gaging. In that moment, the wolf released some tension in its mouth and no longer pined Koa. Koa didn't waste this moment he ripped the tongue from its mouth and stabbed it in the eye with the Hunter's dagger. The wolf fell to the ground instantly, with no signs of life at all. Blood was pouring from the mouth of the wolf and from the tongue that was in Koa's hand.

"unh. Try to disappear now." Koa said toward the pitch-black wolfs corpse.

[Blood essence has been detected.]

[Do you wish to absorb it?]

"Huh. Uh sure why not?" Koa spoke raggedly.

The reddish black oval appeared in his left hand again. The red and black streams began to pour into the oval. The blood from that came out of the wolf was now dried and had no scent to it. Then an itchy feeling began to spread across Koa's back and arms.
