The First Beat of Love

In a small barrio in the province of Palawan,there was a 16 years old girl named Mari.She is in 3rd year of her high school life.As a teenager,she has a lot of friends and have a bestfriend named Grace.All of her friends with her best friend got a feeling of "crushes,crushes" to the boys inside the school campus.Some of them had a,not only boyfriend but boyfriends.Mari never get interested with the boys inside and outside the campus.Out of her friends,she is the only one that haven't got a boyfriend.She is focus on her study.She is inclined in writing stories,composing songs and as a school band singer.All of her friends always teased her to get a boyfriend,some of them linked her to other boys but she wouldn't mind.

One day,her friend named Miah invited her to a church gathering for the youth.That was a love month season.Most of their friends are invited by Miah.So,she is.That was for a missionary church.Miah told her to introduce Mari to the boys out there so she can have a new friend or an inspiration😏.Miah also told her to introduce her to their american friends who also lived near Miah's house.They are all boys,their parents are missionaries who designated here in the Philippines.Mari think back when she was ten years old there's an american boy who invited her to attend fellowship in their church,but she refuse to come.And she never saw that boy again.

Until the day come that Miah invited her,when Miah told her to introduce her to Andrew one of american boy there's a fast beat in her heart and she cant explain it.From that day the american boy always sink in on her mind with a fast beat in her heart and she doesn't know why?

Until the day come,its sunday morning.Mari and her sister almost ready when Miah arrived to pick them up.She's with Ryan older brother of Andrew.

"Ryan,this is Mari and her sister Yla.Mari meet my friend Ryan," Miah says."Oh hi,nice to meet you."Ryan says,"Hi,"Mari and Yla says."Ok girls,shall we?Ryan asks.The girsl nodded.

When they reach the churh a lot of young people there.Grace is also there.Mari meet a lot of new friends there.They are so nice to be with,very approachable.Mari was standing beside the pathway outside the church.She already met Bob,Will,and Nate,younger brother of Ryan and Andrew.They are all nice.After a while Miah called Mari to come over her and she moved to her quick."Why?"Mari asks."Lets wait here for a while the gathering will start after a few minutes".Miah answered."Ok" Mari says."You see that guy coming to our direction?Miah asks while pointing to a boy who's walking towards them.When Mari take a glance to the direction of the boy she felt again the fast beat of her heart but now its more getting fast,very fast.Getting loud and fast while the boy comes closer to them,its like she can hear it and she also thinks that Miah can hear her heartbeat also.she felt blushed.Not only her heart beats but also her knees,they're shivering.She hold Miah's arm,coz its like she is going to fall off the ground because of her knees getting weak for shivering.She really cant understand it.She's innocent about this kind of feeling."Why,why,why?"her mind keep asking herself."Miah,lets go inside the church."asks Mari while her hand holding Miah's arm."Why?i introduce you to andrew."Miah answered her smiling while staring her."Oh,not now.lets go inside."Mari says."Hey,we already here and Andrew is already here.i introduce you to each other before we go to church."Miah insisted.Oh,no Andrew is standing in front of them.Mari felt more nervous.she cant helped it.She stares at Miah with pity eye.Miah smile at her."Hi,Miah".Andrew says smiling."Hi"Miah smiled,"Ahm,is there something wrong?"Andrew asks coz he saw Miah and Mari staring each other."Oh no,"Miah interrupt."Ah,Andrew,i want you to meet Mari,my classmate and a friend.Mari,this is Andrew."Miah says."Hi,"Andrew says offering his hand towards Mari.She accept Andrew's hand but felt more nervous and blushing.She cant even say a word "hi" just stared to Andrew and give him a wry smile.They go inside the church.They sat on a bench with Andrew.They began to listen to the word of God while the Pastor is preaching.But Mari never understand a word from preaching beacuse she destructed by what she felt.She still hear her heart beating fast.And she thinks everyone hear it and so Andrew.Her mind still keep on asking herself,"why?why?why?!"

Until the preaching is done,nothing changed what she feel.....
