5 Chapter 005

They were sitting there in silence, as she reflected on his words, before she feels an invasion. It's abrupt, and feral.

It felt like her soul was being torn into, the same sensation of cringe that the sound of nails on a chalkboard caused. A scream escaped, as she felt a piece of herself being removed. She knew she'd lost something in that moment.

"What did you do...?" She sobbed, tears streaking down her face. She tried to pull away, only to be held in place.

"Now you know what it feels like to have a piece of your resonance ripped out of you." He explained with his voice low but hard. No apology offered. "That's one of the ways to get more resonance. Taking it from someone else is they weaker or not expecting it."

The girl curled up in a ball and wrapped her arms around her knees, burrowing her face into them.

"The other way, is to receive it." The mage rested his hand on the small of her back, ignoring the sounds of protest.

Next, there's a wash of warmth that soothed the pain she'd felt moments ago. The rush of pleasure was indescribable. She moaned as she unwrapped herself from the fetal position, to begin writhing under the intense heat that the mage made her feel.

"This way is much more pleasurable." He whispered in her ear, tickling the flesh with how close his mouth was to her. "If you do it while you're fucking… well, you can't imagine the pleasure you can feel." He stroked her earlobe with the tip of his tongue teasingly, causing her to arch almost painfully.

She came. Nails digging into the fabric of his robes, eyes screwed closed, hair thrown wildly, body shuddering – came.

And, as suddenly as it began, it ended, leaving her laying there staring at the ceiling.

"By the by, that was really fucking hot, Alaina." Waggling his brows, Trimagus swatted her hip, teasing her once more. "You can probably guess which sex uses which form of resonance the most."

He walked across the room to search through a few of the sparse things he'd left behind when he'd gone into the painting. "It was around here som… ah hah." Pulling a small book from the shelf, he returned to the woman who'd barely begun collecting herself.

"Uh… Fuck you… and thanks." She laughed, barely able to speak, before sitting up. Her panties were drenched, and she started noticing just how attractive her new Master was. She licked her lips, strolling her eyes up and down his frame, remembering how she'd just felt.

"Heh. Yeah. I get that pretty fucking often." Tri admitted, dropping down on the bed next to her again, offering the small book. "Here. This'll help with the earth resonance. I don't know a lot about it, but there are some similarities between flame and earth."

"What do you mean?" Picking the book up, she began looking through it curiously, glancing up to him through a waterfall of brown hair. She motioned it at him, and then looked back down to flip the page again.

"Well, you're going to need to learn how to handle the resonance I gave you. It should have been enough to push you to the next uh... level? Step? Tier? Whatever you wanna call it." Waiving a hand, indicating it was immaterial, the elder continued. "And, with that, you're going to start finding out that you can do things that you couldn't before."

When she looked at his skeptically, he snorted and jerked his chin towards the door. "C`mon. I'll show you something." He snagged her arm, and pulled her from the bed, noticing that she wasn't bothered by his touch anymore with a faint smirk.

"Wha..." She gasped, but followed his pull and let herself get tucked against his side a moment before disentangling from him.

"Oh. Right. You're going to want to be careful with taking resonance. If they're much stronger than you, like me, for example…" He winked. "Then, their ego has a chance of overriding yours. You might notice that you think, or act differently after some people give you their resonance. If you don't mind how it makes you feel, there's no concern."

"If you do, don't take any more resonance from them, period." He led her through the large building as he spoke, not bothered by how closely she seemed to want to walk to him. Her nodding was given a faint chuckle to before he continued. "I'll show you a couple ways you can protect yourself. But, in the end, either resonate with someone weaker than you, or prepare to have your mind or emotions fucked with."

She was going to say something, but couldn't. The look of the sky was too mesmerizing, and nothing like what she imagined the area around the tower would look like. "It's so beautiful." She whispered, suddenly grasping a hold of his hand in awe and a hint of fear.

"Yeah. Welcome to my opus." Waiving his free hand grandly, he encompassed the flames that circled the tower and island. "There's a direct connection to the realm of eternal fire, flame really likes it there, and makes it so that there's never a shortage of fire."

Walking over to the edge of the boundary, right before where the ground crisps, he motions for her to stop.

"Now, normally you wouldn't be able to do fuck all in my realm. Here, I am god. Literally." There weren't many things he wouldn't jest about, this happened to be one of them.

She shivered, feeling the seriousness in his voice. "Ok…ay…" She waited for him to continue, shuffling her feet and hands.

"But, I'm giving you permission to use a small portion of it for yourself. It's been too long since something new was added. And…" He eyed her again, considering. "I think you've got the creativity to make it interesting."

"Okay, but how do I do it?" She asked, shifting her gaze off the edge of the island to the expansion beyond.

"First, you're going to need to learn to talk to earth. That should only take a few months. After that, you'll be able to create a small island." He threw a hand in sky once more. "It can be as close or as far away from this one as you like, but you're going to want to remember that you need to be able to get to it."

"While you're doing that, I'm going to have to talk to Gunther, we need more people." Sighing, he turned his back on the beauty of the realm to look at the tower again. "We need a couple people to grow the herbs we'll need, someone to tend the pond that's going to need to be grown back, a few warriors to fend off the random interlopers…" He listed off the people he'd need, a sigh after each one.

"Not to mention, apprentices to start learning the Way of the Flame and…" He squinted at her. "The Way of the Earth, if you can create the island."

"I know all the people you need. I've lived on the island for most my life after all." She sounded proud that she could do something he couldn't.

This pulled a chuckle from Trimagus, as he returned to the painting in its secluded area.

"Okay, go get the people we'll need, along with the things that Gunther should be providing to make things a little easier." He stopped at the painting and looked from it to her, then back. "Here. You'll be able to enter and leave this realm through the painting, now. To get into the main world, you just have to utter "I didn't start the fire." To get in here, through the other side simply say what I said earlier."

She scrunched her nose cutely, and suddenly reached up to peck him on the corner of the lips. "Thanks. I'll be back tomorrow." She guaranteed.

"Okay." He accepted. "Be prepared to travel and train. We don't have time to waste." He warned her as she stepped through the painting.

"Huh. She's dangerous." He mused, reaching up to gently trace the place she'd kissed, then looked down at the tent in his robes and laughed.

"I did not see that coming."
