Sent To War

Its been 4 months since Peter had been ranked up from soldier to general. He had a lot of time now to relax before he had to be sent to war so he went to visit his family. They where all ecstatic to find out that he had moved up a rank since that mean that he would earn more money but when they heard that he had to go to war they where very sad and wished that he didn't have to go risk his life. while he was playing with his little sister outside, he saw her. The love of his life. She was standing next to the gate and was looking at him. He stood up and walked over to her and pulled him into a tight embrace. He looked into her eyes and smiled a smile that was brighter than the sun itself for he knew that this women loved him as much as he loved her. Peter told his sister to go inside while he went on a walk with Jessie. While they where in the park Peter told Jessie the news on how he earned a rank up and how that means that he will have to go fight in the war. Jessie had tears in her eyes as Peter wrapped his arms around her and attempted to comfort her. When she calmed down Peter leaned in closely and closed the gap that was between their lips until they kissed. They stayed like that until he parted their lips ending the kiss. He looked her straight in the eyes and said " I love you with my entire being and I hate the fact that we must part here. But do know that I will come back and knowing that you will be waiting for me will fuel me with energy that will make me want to come back. This love that I have for you will make me end this war."

When he finished talking, Jessie had tears in her eyes as she comprehended his words. she knew that what he spoke was what he believed to be the truth in his heart. she hugged him tightly, not wanting to let go. Peter wrapped his arms around her and hugged her. They stayed like this for a long time and anyone who saw this scene would feel their souls be at peace. When Jessie finally left peter went home and said his goodbyes to his family. He left and join his comrades on a vehicle to enter the battlefield.
