20 Chapter Nineteen- X Universe

             Modern Cream walked up to the Sonic from her universe.

             "We haven't seen Boom for a while," she commented, sounding worried, "you should go check on him."

             "I'm sure he's fine," Sonic assured her.

             Cream shifted uncomfortably.

             "Still," she said, "can you go check on him?"

             "Okay," Sonic agreed, then took off.

             X Cream walked up to Modern, and the two watched Modern Sonic leave.

BOOM UNIVERSE

             The remaining three team members were sitting at Meh Burger. Amy was anxious about Sonic's extended absence, and it was leaking on to Sticks.

             It didn't help that Eggman hadn't attacked in over a week, and Sticks was getting nervous. Knuckles was outwardly oblivious, however, he worried too. Suddenly, Amy perked up

             "Look!" she cried, pointing in the direction of the beach.

             A blue blur ran up to them. At first, they were all relieved, but then they realized that this was Modern Sonic, not theirs.

             "Where's Sonic?" Sticks asked, voice low, inquiring.

             "Wait, you mean he's not here?" Modern looked concerned and worried.

             "We thought he was with you." Knuckles said, puzzled.

             "When was the last time you saw him?" Amy asked worriedly.

             "Um...," Modern thought for a moment, "about six days ago, after we found the destroyed Village- but you wouldn't know about that, either."

             "What village?" Sticks asked suspicious but curious.

             "The village me and the other Moderns founded and lived in," Modern explained, "the Tails appear to have stayed there through multiple attacks, but got pushed out and the Village was destroyed."

             "You have a team larger than five?" Amy asked with surprise.

             "Well," Modern said, "there were more than five of us fighting Eggman, before the War to Take Back the Planet. If you can imagine, Forces actually shrunk the number, and not through casualties either."

             "How many?" Knuckles asked.

            Modern thought for a moment.

            "Um, thirteen, I think, not counting wisps," he said.

            "Wow," Sticks and Knuckles were impressed, but Amy still worried.

            "He's been missing for six days," she fretted.

            Something beeped, and Modern pulled out his Miles Electric.

            "Sonic," it was Modern Amy, "X Sonic just went to check on AoStH. He's not in his universe, and AoStH Robotnik has taken over. AoStH is missing!"

             "Great," Modern Sonic groaned, "now AoStH. Boom is missing too. And we saw him last with AoStH..."

             He froze. The Booms were confused, but Modern Amy seemed to understand.

             "They went after the Tails," she breathed, "our universe was open, and they were hit the hardest by Tails' disappearance. They're in the Modern Universe."
