Arrival at the Hub

"Hello Invariant Bias. It is good to see you once again." Said Mesa to the floating construct.

"Greetings Reclaimer. What is your inquiry?" Asked Invariant Bias.

The bridge crew that were silent in astonishment pretty soon started screaming and cursing him out again, calling him a heretic, a xenos consorter, a traitor. A tech priest that was on the bridge even called him a tech heretic for daring to bring 'Abominable Intelligence' (AI) aboard a sacred ship of the God Emperor and was chanting the rites of their ridiculous religion. The inquisitor declared him and all his family and friends as Excommunicate Traitoris and sentenced him and all his family and friends to death. Though most of the bridge crew were praying to the Emperor for salvation.

And all of this was witnessed by Mesa and Invariant Bias that were looking up at them, but remained quit. At a certain point they turned away from them and Invariant Bias asked Mesa a question.

"Reclaimer, I can see that they are humans as well, just like you. Why have you restrained them? Are they not also Reclaimers?"

"No, they are not." Answered Mesa.

"And why is that?" Asked Invariant Bias.

"Because we are in a different universe altogether. In this universe the Forerunners and their Ecumene have never existed here, the Precursors and later the Flood have never existed in this universe, the wars that the Ecumene had fought against Ancient humanity and later against the Flood have never occurred in this universe, the Halo Array has never been built and never been fired in this universe. And so in this universe, in which the Forerunners have never existed, they have never had use the Halo Array to scour the Milky Way galaxy of all life in order to vanquish the Flood and then reseed the galaxy with life again and appoint humanity as 'Reclaimers of the Mantle'."

When Mesa stopped talking, the entire bridge went silent, save for the constant hum of the engines and machinery working. All the bridge crew were either enraptured by what Mesa was saying or they kept mumbling prayers to the God Emperor or the Omnissiah to themselves in an effort to drown out Mesa's 'heresy'.

"I understand." Said Invariant Bias. "What is it that you require of me then?"

"I need you to hack this ship's systems and drop us out of the Warp. From there we will teleport to somewhere and I'll inform about the reason why came to this universe."

With that, Invariant Bias went to work. With his three lights blinking, it attempted to connect to the ship's systems. And being such a hyper advanced AI system it made very short work of the Black Ship's network defense and took over control of the ship. Invariant Bias even reported that it could detect that the ship's computer system had some kind of sentience that was trying to keep it out. When Mesa asked it if it would cause any problems, Invariant Bias told him that it wouldn't and that he had already expunged it from the systems. Moments later, the ship shook wildly as if it had punched into a dense liquid and came to a sudden 'halt'.

"We are now out of the Warp." Declared Invariant Bias. "According to the ship logs, this ship was on its way to a planet called Holy Terra in order to deliver its compliment of psykers that it had captured. Seeing as we are in the Milky Way galaxy, what equivalent planet would Holy Terra be for me?"

"Holy Terra for you would be known as Erde-Tyrene and for me as Earth. I assume you have the stellar charts of your home universe and of this one." Said Mesa.

"That is correct." Said Invariant Bias. "Considering we are currently in another version of the Milky Way galaxy, I have taken the liberty of overlapping my stellar chart with the one that this ship has and with that calculate our current position, though the stellar chart of this ship is incomplete."

"Can you calculate where Charum Hakkor's supposed position is within this Milky Way, we'll go there for now and see how we'll further proceed." Requested Mesa. Moments later Invariant Bias had identified a star system that coincided with the position of the Charum Hakkor star system that had planet on its own stellar chart. And so, Mesa opened up a portal that led to that star system and he and Invariant Bias prepared to walk through it until…

"STOP RIGHT THERE YOU HERETIC!!"

Right before he stepped through the portal, he heard that inquisitor scream at him again. Though he wanted to simply ignore him and get out of here, his curiosity got the better of him and he turned around.

"Go on ahead Invariant Bias, I will catch up to you later."

So with that, Invariant Bias went through the portal and disappeared from the bridge. After that, the portal closed, leaving Mesa on the Black Ship. Looking up at the inquisitor, Mesa got this massive grin on his face as he freed him from his restraints and let him fall to the floor. He even reformed his weapons for him, which were a bolt pistol and a power sword.

"Alright inquisitor, here I am." Declared Mesa standing there with his arms wide open as a challenge to him.

Not wasting a second, inquisitor Metacron grabs his power sword and bolt pistol, got up and fired at Mesa, who was still standing there with his arms wide open, and rushing at him with his power sword. Instead of being hit, the bolt shell harmlessly impacted an energy shield that he had erected in front of him. But inquisitor Metacron kept rushing him, yelling and shooting the entire time. And when he reached him, he swung his power sword at Mesa's head, fully intent on cleaving his head from his shoulders.

Much to everyone's utter shock, instead of the power sword slicing right through his neck, what happened instead was Mesa grabbed the blade of the power sword in his left hand and held it there. Normally these weapons slice through armor and flesh with consummate ease thanks to the disruptive energy field the blade is encased in. But now, it was held firmly in the hand of Mesa.

"Good effort on you inquisitor, but ultimately pointless. Now it's my turn."

With an exertion of power, Mesa shouts and blasts lord inquisitor Metacron away with a shockwave. He plucks him out of midair, grabs him by the foot and slams him down onto the deck and then again and again and again and again. To finish him off, he hoisted him above his head and breaks his back over his knee and drops him on the ground.

"So are there any more volunteers?" Said Mesa to the rest of the bridge crew that were restrained against the ceiling and they mostly just whimper in fear and pray to the Emperor for salvation. One of them though challenges him. Looking up at her, she was dressed in black skin tight body suit with a topknot and red eye lenses.

"A Callidus Assassin. I had not expected to meet one of your kind so soon. Come on down." Said Mesa and he let the Callidus Assassin go free and even restored her weapons. And from the moment she hit the ground, she dashed for him and unleashed a flurry of strikes with her C'tan Phase Sword and her feet and hands. With every strike she'd either attempt to stab him with her C'tan Phase Sword, or with her Poison needles or just deliver devastating punches and kicks to incapacitate him, but Mesa would either dodge them or redirect her attacks. Her Neural Shredder she didn't use because of the collateral damage that would be caused to the bridge crew that were present and who were needed to steer the ship.

The Callidus Assassin, was not letting up on her attacks. In fact, she was even getting more and more ferocious and faster. And this whole time Mesa kept up with her, but he didn't retaliate. That was until Mesa made a misstep and fumbled over his own foot. Seizing this opportunity, the assassin pounces on Mesa, delivering a devastating kick to his jaw that laid him flat to the deck. Without wasting a single second, the assassin was on top of him and jammed that C'tan Phase Sword straight through his throat and out the back of his neck and into the deck below.

With blood spurting out his neck and throat, Mesa body went rigid for a moment before going limp and his eyes rolling to the back of his head. The bridge crew that were stuck on the ceiling were cheering the assassin on for killing that heretic monster. The assassin relaxed with a death of Mesa and prepared to pull out her C'tan Phase Sword when all of a sudden Mesa grabbed her by her forearms. The 'dead' Mesa suddenly looked up at her and with a big smirk on her face he said.

"Gotcha Bitch!"

The Mesa that lay on the ground with a C'tan Phase Sword through his neck suddenly turned to ice and where he grabbed the assassin, her arms also turned to ice. Seeing this happen, she jumped of him but unfortunately, her forearms were already frozen solid and with her jump she shattered her forearms and landed messily on the ground.

"That was a good attempt miss Calidus Assassin. But unfortunately, these tricks don't work on me." Mesa's voice reverberated through the entire bridge. The Mesa that was supposed to be dead had turned to ice and shattered into pieces. With the loss of her forearms, the assassin got up messily and searched for his whereabouts, her only saving grace being her wounds frozen shut that kept her from bleeding out.

Out of nowhere, Mesa suddenly reappeared next to his shattered ice clone, with nary a wound on him. Not giving up what so ever, the assassin prepared to attack him again, only for another Mesa to appear behind her and bury her into the deck with a Rasengan into her back, leaving her there a sack of meat and broken bones, but still alive, though barely.

"Well, as much fun as I have had, I will be taking my leave now. But before I do, I want to tell you that the moment I leave all of your restraints will disappear and their wounds will heal and your weapons will be back again." Said Mesa to the remaining bridge crew as he portal behind him.

"Though I will be taking this with me." Snatching up the C'tan Phase Sword, Mesa walked through the portal and disappeared from there. True to his words, the restraint of all the crew of the Black Ship disappeared and freed them. As for the injuries of the assassin, they were all restored, including her missing forearms and Inquisitor Lord Metacron woke up, all his injuries miraculously healed, but utterly infuriated.

"Mark my words you filthy heretic bastard, I swear upon He Who Sits on the Throne of Terra, I will find you and I will see to it that you burn for an eternity." Vowed Inquisitor Lord Seluvis Metacron. Getting up, he barked his orders to the crew of the Black Ship to find out who it was that escaped and where he came from and the crew, naturally afraid of the wrathful Inquisitor Lord, immediately obeyed. The moment they regained control of the ship, they sent out a distress signal and made for the nearest imperial planet.

As for Mesa, after leaving the Black Ship and portaling to where Invariant Bias was, he came out to a scene of beautiful lush forests in the mountains. Upon spotting him, Invariant Bias came up to him.

"Greetings Reclaimer, I have a message for you." Said Invariant Bias.

"A message? From who?" Asked a confused Mesa. As far as he knew, he was alone in this universe so he should not get a message from anyone.

"A message from you to you." Said Invariant Bias and projected a holographic image of a Mesa Uchiha.

"Greetings other me and welcome to the Hub. This is our own special area that has been carved out in this universe by us for us. I am sure you have many questions, which will be answered once you reach the nexus area of the Hub. A ship has been sent out to come pick you up. So just sit tight and soon everything will be made clear."
