I struggled to contain my rising anger as the Overseer gave his final verdict in the courtroom. First, the sudden revelation that Ayan is innocent, then Laika suddenly standing up as a witness, and then the absolute nail in the coffin the revelation that Laika was the true culprit. I didn't even know where to begin processing my thoughts. There was just too much that was happening all at once. I wanted to yell at knights as they spoke. However, I had already been reprimanded by the Overseer enough times. I had to keep my composure.
I never imagined something so embarrassing would happen to me. To think the Imperial knights would keep something so important from me. They could have informed me of what they discovered instead of letting such a situation occur.
