54 Special POV: A victim's resolve

  LAIKA'S POV

  "What's going to happen to her now?" I asked General Kang who had been answering my questions very carefully and nervously like he was afraid to tell me something.

"She's been arrested and is currently being held at the imperial city prison. We're waiting for the investigation to finish so they can hold a trial." He explained, then paused. "I've also asked for an imperial order to get her the death sentence."

I froze for a moment unsure of what I'd just heard. "The death sentence?" I asked horrified.

"Yes, that way she won't be able to hurt you again," He explained as he caressed my face. I looked into his eyes for a moment and saw he was actually serious about this.
