How can I make it up to you

At the end of the hallway, I found the tall figure of the Emperor waiting for me. I was surprised he came from his wing to get me himself, I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing though. What if he had come to reprimand me for what I'd done to the General?

"Good Morning Your Majesty," I greeted with a curtsy once I reached him. 

"Good Morning, Lady Ayan," He said as we made eye contact. He examined my face a little too closely and when a slight look of concern appeared on his face I knew he'd noticed I'd been crying. Though I'd done my best to fix my makeup and cover it up. "Would you care to join me for a walk?" he went on to ask me.

  "Of course, Your Majesty," I accepted his offer. 

He then led me to the gardens nearby the building wing and we walked side by side.

"I just wanted to check on you after you met with the General earlier." He said getting straight to the point. "Are you alright?"
