When I was a child, I was the pampered daughter of my family, mind you!!

haaaah.....

But like every other story, I too had to pass through many trials and tribulations before I got a Happy Ending? Or, was it, the beginning?!

I think it all started when that pair of snakes invaded our mansion.

My name is Feng Lixue, just like my name I was born pretty and pure as snow and no, I am not being narcissistic, well, maybe a little but arrrghhh....being beautiful is sin ah~....* Gives a distant look, trying to seem profound *

Where was I? Ah! Yes!!...So, our Feng(Phoneix) Jia for ages had beautiful genes, I mean you could pick anyone from the family line and they can make money just from selling their looks and yours truly, the great Lixue being a thoroughbred was definitely born to shine like the brightest of the stars in the whole universe but ah~ well, before I could get a chance, "Life" happened.

Of course, you have and if you haven't, well, ...um..."Don-min"*

The story was really beautiful, well, to many people it was.. but yours truly being a pessimistic and nit-picking being, had many complaints when she read it many years after her first read as a child.

Some of which were--

'That so-called father sucks' and 'Cindy-baby is too pure for my liking' and 'Don't waste vegetables' and 'Trash family' and 'The prince is too plain to my liking' and 'What's with that miracle meeting and separation? It's so cliche that I'm getting goosebumps!...grrr..give back my money and time' and finally

'Don't fucking give me the 'Happy ending' shit, either kill them or give me an epilogue of what happened, damn it!'

Well, you see, many pure angels-of-readers cried and felt happy when they read the final ending of "They lived happily ever after", but being a realist and someone whose life is going through deep shit right now plus, someone who has read tons of "Webnovels", the last line irked the hell out of me.

She was a doted girl no doubt, but after her mother passed away, her life took a turn for the worst, an MIA Father, abusive step-mother, bitch step sister and slightly schizophrenic mind,...such a poor child.

The last 'schizo' part ticked you off?

Well,... I mean, animals and birds were helping her do her work!

Dude lets get real and face it, that's not happening...I know I am acting like a 'fishbone which got stuck on your throat' but still, that's really not happening, at least not with me. You see, the animals I know of, if anything, just increase my workload ba!

Anyway, they all were delusional, I tell you!

I mean, love at first sight is 'fictional', I repeat it's only a 'fictional' phenomenon and if a marriage happens with too much 'class' difference, it is bound to suffer and mainly by the party of the lower class, well, that much is real in the web novels we read.

Plus our Cinderella was kind of a pushover and too kind maybe? A real and rare white lotus? Mary Sue?

Being a 21st-century girl, I can't fathom her line of thought but well, she must have suffered a lot too right?

But..... we all ignored it and just gave a tag of a happy ending and deluded ourselves and maybe envied her of her lavish lifestyle after marriage plus, she suffered a lot back in the day too, you know, when she was worked to the bone by those snakes....poor her, then again, she was also at bad because she saw everything in a good light.

Well, if I have to say, I'm a little envious of her too, you know, in this dog-eat-dog world, it's really hard to find such a pure soul.

I too have a similar story, of course, with slight differences, well, just with the first half of her life though.

Though I had my fiery personality follow me in all my reincarnations, I mean that I was born with it...haha...still, I was quite naive back then so, I was at fault too because I accepted everything because of slight coaxing from those snakes,... but it all changed when they tried to harm my mother in front of my eyes....I ridiculed myself and faced depression for a while, well, back then I could only blame myself.

Being pampered since birth is no joke! You know, you start to think that everything should go the way you want to and since, you haven't faced any backlash, once you

do, all hell breaks loose and except for drowning in your sorrows, you don't know what else you could do!

Still, I got up, I had to...afterall those snakes were still living well, I had to get back at them too, right?

I haven't met a 'Prince' Charming yet, nor do I intend to!

I can take care of my own self plus, I would love a simple man to be my partner ba...

After all my years of suffering from our 'rich' family's struggle for power and underhand tactics these people use even against their kins, I much prefer a simple life now, I'd prefer to stay alone but I don't want my mother to be burdened so, I intend to get a simple man with a decent job to be my better half now.

BUT that doesn't mean I will forget what these people made me go through and how much my mother had to suffer because of them.

I, Feng Lixue, will never be the next classic Cinderella, I will be a phoenix, who will rise from the ashes, as many times as needed, and take back what is rightfully mine, that too, with interest.

I will grit my teeth and face the storm head-on.

I will rise again, I will get back on everyone who made us suffer.

I won't expect for a god-mother nor a miracle, I won't wait for a prince charming to come and save the day and take me from this abyss and these muddy waters, I will fight back and pave my own path for my beautiful future which I could be proud of.

Those who have wronged me, start counting your end days and try to enjoy them as much as you can now.... because when this phoenix comes back, you'll prefer hell over earth and death over living.

When I get back, I will make sure to make you suffer hundred-fold back....

It will be the rise of Cinderella, Feng Lixue's way!!!
