12 A WRITTEN WARNING

What should we learn from the days of our ancestors?

These things happened to them as a warning to us. All this was written in the Scriptures to teach us who live in these last days.

1corinthians:10:11

SPIRITUAL INSIGHT:

ISRAELITES ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.

1. But God was not pleased with most of them so their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.

2. Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry."

3. We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did and in one day 23,000 of them died.

4. We should not test Christ, as some of them did and were killed by snakes.

5. Do not grumble, as some of them did and were killed by the destroying angel

Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did.

Whoever has ears let them hear the spirit says.
