5 Chapter:5

Esmeralda's p.o.v:

It was a bright morning,one in many days,the storm has just passed allowing the paths to clear and it easier to see the roads and alleys filled with broken and damaged buildings overlooking the already filled roads.The storms became more and more damaging ,forcing all the inhabitants of the city to move.I and seana have packed as many books as we could but i still felt heartbroken to leave the rest alone,even if they are locked safely away from the storm and the eyes of the others.

The leader Eva and her comrade hec ,lead us to a few buses that we were supposed to board which will take us to the 'A.S.H' it was a safe haven that the last existing govt. made using the safest place away from all the mess of the world to protect the children and humankind.

The 'A.S.H' is nothing like we imagined ,it was green, full of plants and trees,beautiful buildings were built around the area overlooking a large tree full of life extending over a surprisingly large area there was a lake surrounding the tree and flowing all over the haven and the over to the fence, which surrounded the whole area separating us from the dangers of the outer world, where no one could peep outside as i suspect if anyone could even reach the top.

I suddenly have a flashback back to a time when i was young and was almost caught by them.

*FLASHBACK*

I was just reading in my backyard on my swing,when i heard a growl.My mother had warned me not to cross the gates,but i was curious.But as they say curiosity kills.i have never been so scared ever in my life.i opened the gate to come face to face with a being so ugly that one couldn't even imagine .It had skin so pale that it was almost grey,it was also with red clots in the middle of its naked and baggy body.It has no nose but thin,pale lips with sharp and carnivorous canines (which could very easily pierce flesh).It had a very long and thin red tongue like a frog but thinner.Its eyes are thin,small and,pure crimson red with no whites and blacks.It growled at me flashing a toothy form a grin.It stretched its hands log with enormous nails about to grab at my throat,when it pushed away from me by a force at its hip.I couldn't help it but scream.My parents were suddenly in front of me in a protective position as the creature got up.My mother turned to me mouthing.'we love you.Be brave love' and threw herself at it as father tried to-

i jerk open my eyes to see the group leaving to the dormitories.I leave with them twisting my necklace(^) and follow them telling myself that i am safe here.
