Kindred

I remained in bed for the rest of the afternoon, talking with Luc through the door. Eve's magic was potent and while I felt like I could move, every moment made me dizzy. After trying to get up when I first heard his voice, I decided it was best just to rest and talk from my bed. The distance also limited how much Luc's magic would try to pull from me and he was even sitting on the edge of the door frame to put more distance between us. He told me about Azger's worries about Sarai's safety, and I told him everything I had learned from Dracula and Eve. Luc was the only one I felt I could trust with that knowledge, and his silence once I was done speaking spoke volumes.

"So, what can we do? What should we do?" He finally sighed and I shook my head, still lying in my bed as I heard his question.
