They All Hate You

It had been 11 years since Luthor's rise to power, and things have not been the same

Leslie Luthor sat on her bed, her light blue eyes scanning a notebook, she was working on some trigonometry problems when she heard a knock on her door. "Hm?" Leslie looked up to find her father standing at the doorway, wearing a gray sweater. "Hello Les..." he entered the room and took a peek at her book, she had filled two entire pages with equations.

"...Why don't you watch some television? Have some fun? You've been working all day" Lex mentioned. Leslie tossed her book to the side and stood up, "Can I go out?" Leslie whined. Lex sighed and patted her on the shoulder, "...No" he stated, "You cannot" he shook his head.

"I've been sheltered in here all my life!! I wanna go out, hang out with friends, go to a regular school!!" Leslie told her father. "...You can't go out there..." Lex said sternly, turning around to leave the room, Leslie followed after him into the halls of the manor. "Why are you so controlling?! Why can't you let me go out on my own for once?" Leslie asked, "Because I'm your father, and I say you can't" Lex stated as he entered a large office room, there was a large painting of himself and a wide desk in the circular room. "...You're such...a control freak" Leslie said in frustration, "You regulate what I watch on television, y-you lock all the windows, you only let me out into the garden...I wanna explore the city, I've spent 11 years in this house, I've spent my entire life seeing the same things every day, I've never even seen what's out there!!" Leslie yelled in anger.

Lex sat at his desk and placed his hands on his face, sighing from exhaustion, "...Do you know what's out there?" Lex asked Leslie, who remained silent.

Lex opened a nearby cabinet, and took a small key out. "Follow me" he ordered.

Leslie followed closely behind Lex, glancing at a patrol of Lexbots marching through the halls. Lex unlocked a dark blue door and walked up a flight of stairs, followed by Leslie.

Soon, they reached the rooftop, and Leslie could hear the sound of millions of people chanting. Leslie reluctantly stepped towards the edge of the roof and looked down, seeing a humongous crowd of people holding signs and tear gas, Lexbots guarded the house, holding the rioters back.

"...Father?" Leslie looked up at Lex, who had his hands in his pocket as a News Helicopter hovered in front of the Manor.

Leslie could see clouds of red smoke rising into the air, and cans were being thrown at the bots.

"Now do you see?" Lex asked, "...Now do you know why I've locked you inside for all these years?" He asked Leslie.

"...The People of Metropolis...they all hate me...but most of all...They All Hate You" Lex stated.

"But why? I've never done anything to them" Leslie asked her father. Lex shook his head, "They don't care...you were unlucky enough to be my daughter...that's a good enough reason to them"
