32 Magic mishaps

After some time, Kazumi and Toshiro talked and ate the fruits. She pried him for the location of where he got the fruits.

He knew that if he told her about it she would go there herself, robbing him of the perfect excuse to see her.

Once the vapor of the lake started to disappear, Kazumi stood up and hid her wings

"Thank you for the fruit, I enjoyed them maybe on the next occasion you can bring some more"

with the sun to her back, the smile she gave him seemed all the gentler. But once Toshiro heard her 'next occasion' meant he was welcome.

With a silly grin on his face he flew away.

Once Kazumi reached Bai's place, he was already waiting for her, but something seemed different.

Bai inched closer to her and he got the scent of the annoying Dragonewt, "He was here?"

"Yes, he brought some fruits for me" She unknowingly smiled making Bai all the more annoyed.

He stood on guard, looking towards the direction of the lake Bai's gaze became dangerous.

Kazumi grabbed his ears and started rubbing them enjoying the sensation ~mofumofu~

The fur on Bai's face turned pink, adding on to his charm. She smiled at him "Let's go back, I do not want you to get in trouble again"

She stopped rubbing his ears Bai seemed unhappy, he passed his front torso under her legs lifting her on the spot. Out of instinct, Kazumi grabbed onto his neck "BAI! That surprised me"

Bai carried her on his back

when they arrived at her cottage Bai told her that he'd be hunting; left alone she decided to fool around trying to get used to the "Magic" that was so abundant.

ᛁᚲᛖ ᛋᛈᛖᚨᚱ (Ice Spear)

She blurted out what she heard Bai say, sure enough, the temperature in the room dropped, making breath visible. In the next moment, a slender spear was formed.

Kazumi blinked her eyes several times "It worked!!!" she stood up and encircled le spear.

'It looks similar yet different to my techniques' She knew she forgot about something 'what was it again… bah'

She moved her wrist forward and the spear launched, "oh yeah that's what it was!"

Kazumi dashed at incredible speed catching up with it.

"Ōra-kyū" Kazumi chanted at the top of her lungs and a green sphere of energy encapsulated the spear. She stretched out her palm and made a tight fist shattering the Green sphere along with the ice spear.

Her legs gave way and she sat on the floor; she directed her gaze only to find several children scared silly because of the incident. 'Stupid memory, I forgot Bai told me that hand movement direct magic~~~'

The children couldn't stop trembling and there was no adult around, she sighed, standing up and walking toward the kids.

"Are you children alright? Don't be scared, everything is alright now"

Once they heard the voice of an adult female, two of the children, girls, ran towards her "that was scary, sob sob~~~"

Kazumi patted their heads and calmed them. Once they were better, she asked if they wanted some fruit the two little girls immediately nodded but the three boys didn't

"What's wrong do you perhaps not eat fruits?" In her arms was the youngest little girl so she got down to look at the little boy's faces

"It's not that we don't wanna its just that … it's your food" One of the little boys voiced out.

"Well, that is a problem isn't it?" Kazumi smiled at them "But I just invited you and these little girl's right? If I take them who is going to protect them and me?"

The little boys heard her statement and seemed reasonable so they followed. They ate crimson fruits and Pyrus fruit. The youngest girl decided that Kazumi's lap was very comfy. Kazumi, on the other hand, started braiding the girl's hair into a simple style.

Lost in thought 'That was dangerous sigh~, I need to practice control on it.

At the far edge of the road, Bai was heading towards Kazumi's cottage with a big deer as his prey when he saw her surrounded by the cubs.

'Hmph ours will be much more adorable than that litter'

Kazumi sensed Bai, faced towards him and smiled, his flutter. Yes, this was the female, the only female he would ever love.
