25 Hunt travel

Bai thought for a while before he answered "Some of us hunt, other collect fish and fruit, some build and so on. Why?"

"I don't like the idea of living for free, so I thought maybe helping in some way would be good" Kazumi looked at Bai with honest eyes leaving him a bit stunned

"Females usually just idle around, well some do pick fruit but only for themselves"

"How about I help you with the hunt? Can you tell me what animals you guys eat and we can go hunt together, how about it?" She smiled sweetly at him, but he, on the other hand, had an odd expression.

"it's not that you can't but… Can you morph into your eagle beast to hunt?" he questioned her, the reason was quite simple as beast kin and magic users they'd rely on their fangs and claws to hunt, but most females could not transform into their beast form, so they will always be excluded from the hunts.

Eagle Beast?" Kazumi had a perplexed expression "What do you mean?"

Bai pointed towards her back and said: "You have wings, so you're from the eagle tribe, right?"

"I think you have the wrong idea" she sighed and continued "I'm not an eagle beast"

"You're not? Then what about your wings?" Bai did not believe what Kazumi said, in the end, she had no other choice but to tell him

"My clan or tribe is called Erinyes, at least that's what I heard they last called us, I prefer the term Keepers. I don't morph as you do; I have wings because I am a winged being. Do you understand now?"

Bai contemplated for a while "Can you show me… your complete form?" even though he was hesitating he was quite curious as to how she looked

'Her "winged" form is already breathtaking I wonder how she'll look like in her complete form"

With the determination in his eyes, Kazumi took the chance to bargain

"I'll show you under two conditions, how about it, can you commit?" A beautiful sly smile formed on her face to which Bai could only nod in response. "First, you are to tell no one about my form and second you'll take me hunting. Alright?"

After having her way, she fled to the room to change afraid Bai would change his mind last minute.

She tied her hair in a ponytail with two loose strands at the front. Changing her attire to a black sleeved shirt that reached her hands, boots that covered over her knee and a white cape with black designs.

Once she came out Bai had already retrieved the short sword and was about to give it to her when she said: "Let us be on our way then, lead the way and tell me what I can and cannot hunt okay?"

"I'll be using this instead" once her last word fell a bow and quiver bag appeared, Bai was already used to her pulling things out from nowhere so he didn't ask nor did she tell him.

They began to make their way up to the steep mountains, thinking she would complain of being tired he offered to carry her to which she refused each time, once they were several kilometers away from the village.

Kazumi stood by her word.

"I will show you my complete form… just don't be scared, remember I will not harm you" Her words left Bai confused

'why would I be frightened?' In his mind, Kazumi had the most dazzling appearance that he had laid eyes on.

Knowing what was going on his mind she told him "where I come from, I am either feared or revolted against, my tribe is one that brought peace at one point and at other brought end, we were not very welcomed, that is the reason of my words"

They stood in a clear meadow, the wind started howling and blowing with a force that enveloped her body blocking the view of her.

Bai panicked at the sight believing that Kazumi was in danger he took a step closer when he heard her clear voice "Don't fret, it will be done soon, remember your promise"
