23 Can I sleep here?
The existence that appeared before them was a handsome tall man slender but well built, eyes with the color of the clear blue ocean. No trace of hate, betrayal, just purity that's all that Kazumi felt when his gaze landed on her.
Li Yong came behind Bai and patted his back making him cough breaking the gaze between them.
"Guess you're not a pup anymore, your father will be glad about this"
"Yeah, I guess"
"Why?" Qui Tou pouted jealous of what Bai had accomplished "So what's the big deal huh just cause you got bigger first… sob…sob"
"Li Yong bent down and picked Qui Tou up patting his back to comfort him "Soon enough" that's all he said to the weeping wolf pup as he took him away. However, before he reached the door he turned and looked at Bai.
"It's late. Females need sleep" Seeing that he was unwilling to leave Kazumi's hut. He just shook his head walking away.
Once both Li Yong and Qui Tou were out of sight he closed the door.
Kazumi tilted her head to the side "are you not leaving? If you are worried for me, don't be as I can set an array to repel beings of all kind"
"Array?" Bai gave it some thought and asked: "Is an array a barrier?"
"Indeed, you use magic and I use Qi, although that weird energy keeps assimilating into my body it doesn't mean that I will know how to use it. As long as my Qi doesn't deplete, I will be in no danger" As she finished speaking, she entered the room where Li Yong had prepared a bath … well, it did resemble one at least.
Bai stood in place without the intention of leaving.

Inside the room
Kazumi took off the simple robe she had on and stepped into the water submerging herself laying on the edge and letting out a sigh.
Relaxing she made her wings visible again, looking closely the wounds inflicted on her back and wings were not completely healed implying that the blade was most likely covered in poisonous sap from the tree that was in the border of hell. To take such lengths… just for a drop of blood.
She took a bottle of elixir out from her soul space and started applying it on her wings, but when it came to the back, she was unable to reach properly. Doing what she could, she stepped out of the wooden bathtub and dressed in a simple robe.
Bai heard her steps and stiffened
Kazumi came out of the room and saw Bai frozen in the same spot he was before she went in.
"Why are you still here?"
"Can I sleep here?" Bai made a pleading look to Kazumi leaving her speechless. "I'll guard you that way no one will bother you"
Thinking to herself 'you are bothering me'. Seeing that refusal was futile she said nothing and laid on the simple bed.
Bai taking it as victory morphed into his fox form and laid next to her bed.
At midnight unable to keep his eyes open he fell into a deep sleep, the moment he fell asleep Kazumi rouse from the bed "what a good guard" she shook her head.
Directing herself to the door she sat at the entrance with her wings extended reflecting the moonlight on them a sight that could take one's breath away.
