Chapter 26 - Class president

Jian happily packed his lunch and left for school. At the door, he looked back at his grandmother who was still trembling on the ground. "I'll be back late. Make sure to take care of the house chores grandma~ or else~" he happily giggled and left.

'Oh my god! That felt so good!!" he happily hopped around clutching his school bag tightly. 'Why didn't I do this earlier.'

he felt slightly surprised though. 'I thought she only speculated about my identity but I didn't know she actually knew… how though?? Did she see my mother before her death,' he contemplated a lot of things he had missed in his past life.

He had been such a spineless loser in his past life, taking all the shit that was thrown his way.

Jian sighed. 'at least now I came to. im not that stupid, I think,' he thought to himself with a small smile.

The walk to his school was surprisingly eventless. He had thought Nansich would be waiting at the gate or something to catch him. but that guy was nowhere to be found.

He happily entered his class and walked up to his seat. It was untampered. 'that's weird… if Nansich was that angry enough to run after me last night why didn't he mess with my table?' he gazed up at Nansich who was looking his way.

The man suddenly lowered his head and his cronies started to whisper amongst themselves casting mocking gazes his way.

'Ahh so they have a bigger plan up their sleeve.' Sighing, Jian sat down. 'Is should have brought that clever. Really violence is much more useful to these bozos than words.'

Clicking his tongue, he pulled out his workbooks to be submitted. The class leader soon came around to collect them. the young girl paused by his side. "I cleaned your seat. They really made a mess of it," she whispered ever so softly.

Jian frowned, taking a good look at his table. The usual scratch marks were missing. It looked quite new. "You got this from the staff room?'

"Hmm they had extras…" pouting the young girl glared at the bullies. "Why do they bully you so much? It's annoying. Isn't Bian supposed to be your brother? Why is he friends with your bullies?"

Jian leaned forward curiously peering up at the girl. She had normal looks. Her eyes were slightly on the smaller side but her face was small and cute. She was currently glaring at Nansich subtly.

'This girl... have I talked to her in the past? What is her name?'

He had to admit he had always been quite absent-minded in classes. he only knew Bian and his friends and no one else.

"Thank you for helping me. I suggest you don't. those guys really won't spare you," he whispered kindly.

Bian was a fucking loser. He will not let anyone get close to him for sure.

The young girl glanced his way and smiled. "It's okay. I don't care about being bullied." She picked up the classwork and left to collect the rest.

"Hey, what's your name?" he silently whispered as she went past him after collecting the books.

She looked down at him in surprise. "I'm Pamila. did you not know my name?"

"Sorry, I don't know anyone's name. thank you, Pam." He winked at her with a smile.

Blushing, the young girl ran back to her seat. A few of her friends started to talk to her in hushed tones.

'Ahh young love... it's so beautiful and innocent to look at' he peered at them with a soft smile.

After the alien invasion, everything went haywire. Love... it was such an extinct concept. No one loved each other. They only had sex. Non-consensual sex was never noted as rape. It was just sex.

He had seen a lot worse because of his pretty face.

Many leering eyes always followed him along. some even tried to forcefully take him. but he had always been cautious and escaped their clutches.

He learned to hide his beauty; he learned that major cities were not a good place to live. he moved to the forest area where he would rather face a bear than a human.

That was how he was able to survive for so long all alone.

'of course, my dear dear grandma would always drag me down. If she hadn't stuck to me, I would have already left the city and gone to a far-off place. I heard that City H was deemed safe. I should have gone there,' he quickly started to note down the safe cities that he could remember in his past life.

Most of the cities were taken over by the aliens, but thanks to Xing Yu and his army, they were able to reclaim it. no one knows why the other alien kind interfered in humankind's war with the grayling. Everyone speculated.

'Did they want resources?'

Earth was bountiful. But Xing Yu and his army never plundered or stole anything from Earth.

'Maybe they simply wanted to protect us humankind. Why? did they think we were worth it?' he looked out the window.

humankind was loathsome. But there were a few gems amongst them that were worth saving.

'I guess they had their mysterious reasons.'
