1 Prologue

"Titania is dead. And she will die again."

I gasped for air as I regained consciousness. I felt an unknown liquid ran down through the left side of my face and made me fail to open both of my eyes.

Where am I? I took a deep breath but immediately regretted it. For some reason, this place smells awful. The scent was intense to the point that it hurts my nose. My body made me grunt as I tried to get up from where I was lying.

I feel pain all over my body. It is strange. I don't pull off heavy exercises that will make my body feel this way.

As I slowly adjusted my eyesight to look at this place, I felt scared when I realized the reason for the awful smell. My breathing grew heavier as I instinctively tried to retreat.

Bloody corpses... everywhere.

With the help of the moonlight, I can somehow see the whole place. It is like a battlefield, filled with corpses and blood. Lots of used weapons with blood stains are also near. 'How did I end up in this kind of place?' is what I thought. I remember reading a weird book in the attic before, so how could I end up in this place?

I was about to cover my nose with my left hand but immediately screamed after seeing the condition of my arm. There are bloodstains all over my body.

It gave me a hard time seeing my white and pale skin because of the blood. 'Wait, why do my arms look smaller than usual? Did I die? Am I dreaming?' Countless questions linger in my mind as I try to move away from the dead bodies near me.

The cold breeze that touched my skin didn't help at all. I am still in a daze, trying to absorb everything, but there's no time for that.

I felt surprised when I heard a deep voice speaking in an unfamiliar language. I looked in the direction where the voice was coming from and widened my eyes as I immediately covered my mouth, suppressing my scream.

I tried my best to stop myself from making unnecessary movements that would catch that thing's attention.

I can't explain, but that being doesn't look like a human. The creature is currently sitting surrounded by the remains, and most of them are at the top of this creature's legs. I think that's why it's unable to move.

As I looked at the creature longer, I noticed horns on its head and terrifying red eyes. When I felt its gaze looking at me, my body began trembling in fear. The creature kept on speaking, but I couldn't understand what it was trying to say.

"I need to get away."

That's the thought that conquered my mind. If I stayed here any longer than this, I wouldn't know if I could still survive today. I placed my hands on the ground as I tried to stand up, but I couldn't feel my legs at all for some unknown reason.

But that didn't stop me from wanting to escape, and so I started crawling. It makes me want to vomit whenever my body touches the remains of other people, but I took the courage to brush it all off from my mind. This is all strange but what I need is to survive in this unknown place. I still have to go back to find Ashley.

I kept on crawling away until I heard a loud growl coming from behind. I know I should have continued crawling, but my instincts told me to look back.

And so I did, there I saw that creature hauling the corpses on its lap. 'Wait, is it coming towards me?' I felt my heart beating faster and louder as I saw that same creature standing up.

Without hesitation, I crawled as fast as I could. I wanted to cry so bad when I heard the creature growled louder as I listened to the sound of its footsteps getting near.

"Damn it!" I said out loud because of how slow I am. I probably look disgusting right now with my ugly face.

I can already feel pain in both of my arms, but it won't matter if I end up dead here, right? That's why I need to escape first. But the problem is, I didn't know where to go.

As I was doing my best to escape from that creepy creature, I felt cold hands on my legs, and that made my heart stop for a bit.

It happened so fast that I didn't realize that I was flipped over instantly, and now I am lying on my back.

There I saw the creature above me. It's looking at me with those bloody red eyes. I felt a shiver down my spine when I saw it licking its lips. 'Is it going to eat me?!' is what I thought.

It pulled both of my legs towards it. Pinned in both of my arms on the ground as it straddled me. What the f--- is going on?! It showed me its fangs as its eyes began changing colors. Is it a vampire? And is this place what they call hell?

The creature began touching my neck, which made me frozen still. 'Wait, why am I obediently waiting for my death to come? If I'm gonna die here this way, might as well do my best fighting this unknown creature first.' That's what I thought.

But I couldn't stop it from touching me, and all I did was scream at the top of my lungs. Both of my arms are wobbly to fight this thing.

"There!" I heard human voices near here, which made me saw a glint of hope.

After hearing that voice, when the moonlight touched my skin like it was magic, I could feel my legs again. And so I kicked the creature where it hurts the most, 'I think?'

The creature began groaning as it lay on the ground. I didn't let the chance slip away. I raced to break free from that creepy thing, but it didn't last long until I fell to the ground face first.

My strength left me in a flash, and I couldn't feel my legs again. 'Is this a joke? Is God playing with me right now?'

When I was losing consciousness due to a sudden burst of exhaustion, I felt a presence in front of me that kept me going. I looked up and saw a man in black clothes.

The moonlight shines on this man while he looks down at me. My eye couldn't distinguish if he's a monster like that thing, but what I am sure of is that his eyes are pretty.

His deep purple eyes.

"Help."
