Chapter 29

{Ignea's POV}

No way... How could she get up after that? I knew from Seiji that she's insanely strong but still...

And now she is smiling, I'm doomed, ain't I?

-Using such a dirty trick, I guess you really are Seiji's student.[Eleanor]

-I guess so to, but can I ask just how in the world you are still standing, and without a scratch at that?[Ignea]

By the time I finished speaking she had already closed the distance between us and started attacking.

-Light magic or not, there is no way something of that level could ever hurt me! But I do have to admit, you sure made a lot of progress since you came here.[Eleanor]

-Thanks.[Ignea]

Dodging her attacks is very difficult as her speed is far greater than mine and in terms of attack power... I don't think I want to find out.

Or rather... why is everything turning black? I can't feel my body anymore there is just a bit of pain and my eyes are closing by themselves.

I don't know what's happening.

{Seiji's POV}

Eleanor managed to land a hit and Ignea passed out without even realizing what happened. In the end she couldn't even scratch Eleanor with her current level of power.

But, at least, she did put up a decent fight.

I jumped down into the arena and princess carried her back to her room.

After that, I went with Eleanor to the throne room, where I organized a meeting with the army leaders and the ministers of the country.

When we arrived everyone was already there, waiting for us. Near the weird drawing my sister made as a kid, we put a communication device, a bit more advanced than the one at the guild. The device was there in order for Raijin to be able to attend the meeting.

I made my way to the throne and took my seat while Eleanor joined Toki who sat on my right.

The meeting started and everyone of the ministers was anxious, wondering what kind of stupid thing I'd do now. The generals that left the front line to come here were mumbling among themselves, thinking that this isn't anything of importance. Toki and Eleanor already knew what was going to happen and what this meeting is about.

Lastly, there is Raijin, the star of the meeting.

The man that makes or breaks my entire plan.

I calmed down everyone and gave him the green to start speaking.

His first words were shocking for everyone that didn't know what was happening behind the scenes.

"Me and my followers rebelled against my father's rule of the country and I ask of you, Yafrenia to aid me in taking control of Odrax"[Raijin]

That's right, Raijin had just started a rebellion and Odrax is likely going to be engulfed by a civil war and the side we pick is going to be the winner, due to our troops being stationed in their most important cities.

While the people here knew about the power struggles in Odrax, they didn't know what Raijin was planing, after all I stopped them from getting that information since it would interfere with my plans. Now that they heard it from the Raijin himself, in an official meeting they are more easy to fool and manipulate.

He explained the situation to them and the reaction he got was a simple one, one that I expected .

"What good would be for us to help your side?"

That is a question I have a simple answer to, something I'd already decided to do with Raijin.

"If I win, Odrax will give Danzig and the surrounding territories to Yafrenia"

Silence fell onto the throne room as the gears of our plan started moving and soon the whole thing will take place.

The world shall forever change.

People will never be the same.

We will evolve into something greater.

And at last, they, the ones who caused us so much grief, they will pay the price with their blood and bones, with their lives and their powers.
