Chapter 20

One day after I defeated Alastair and destroyed that holy mountain, everything is absolutely fine, no one noticed that the mountain is gone and that the head of the church is dead....as if. Nothing is fine, Danzig is in a total state of chaos and the church is looking for the one responsible for this. The knight orders are trying to sabotage them as they received a head-up from Raijin beforehand. Now I feel pretty bad about destroying that mountain but, eh, what can I do now, nothing, nothing at all so it ain't my business no more. I went to the counter girl back at the inn and gave her back the keys for the rooms and left. The girls had already packed their things and I set up the teleportation spell.

-Are you two ready?[Seiji]

-Of course! I can't wait to see the demon kingdom's capital![Ignea]

-Me too, I heard that there are all kinds of interesting monuments, shops and great artisans![Yuzu]

-Then, let's go![Seiji]

{Insert cool teleportation sequence that is totally different than the last one}

Damn, that teleportation sequence was cool and totally different than the last one! And I'm sure that stupid writer totally did not forget to add the sequence since it was so wow and like cool and stuff!

Now, we are in the throne room of my castle. I never really liked this place. It's a large open room with a dark theme made of cold rock bricks with obsidian decorations scattered trough out the place. The throne at the back of the room, behind it being two water falls, in front of it a long red carpet made out of wool with golden embroidery on it's sides, that is the only thing in this room that has any color. Besides it there are a few seats for my ministers and for my little sister. But the one thing that really catches anyone's eyes when seeing this room for the first time is the sword embed into the footing of the throne, the demon sword of the first omen. Despite being nothing more than a tool of war, this sword is alive, and it's personality is dark and twisted, just being near it makes me feels sick and at this stage I don't think I could last using it for more than a few minutes.

All that and yet these girls's attention got stuck on one of the paintings on the wall, actually more than a painting it's a drawing my little sister made when she was a kid, it represents a dog or something.... or perhaps a raccoon? I never understood what it was but I just rolled with it.

-Seiji, what's this?[Ignea]

-A dog...or raccoon thing...[Seiji]

-Art in the demon kingdom sure is weird.[Yuzu]

-Actually that is just a drawing my little sister made as a kid.[Seiji]

-Ok, but isn't this the throne room? I understood that master is an important person but won't we get into trouble for being here?[Yuzu]

Oh, that's right I never told her that I'm the demon king.

-We won't, I'm the demo....[Seiji]

My sentence was interrupted by the creaking noise of the door, as the door opened a familiar face appeared. With her head down, the head maid entered the throne room. She is the daughter of my father's former butler and has lived in the castle since she was born. Despite being only a few years older than me she manages all the work that must be done around the castle and leads the few maids employed here. The two of us are more like childhood friends than master and servant but before other people she insists on acting as such. The moment she saw me a tear ran down on her face and ran towards me. In any normal situation, as a man if a beauty like her ran towards me like that I would open my arms and embrace her like in a romantic comedy, but this is no normal situation. I quickly put up my guard as she got near me and I received it, a powerful punch in the gut, Alastair had nothing compared to her punch, if I wouldn't have been on guard I would be laying on the ground, unconscious.

-Hey Eleanor, would you mind not punching me as soon as you see me?[Seiji]

-Then how about you actually don't disappear without saying anything? Do you have any idea how worried we were?[Eleanor]

-I'm sorry, it's just that...[Seiji]

-No excuses, bad kings get punished![Eleanor]

-Please have mercy.[Seiji]

-Uhmm, I'm sorry but could you please let him go?[Ignea]

-Oh my, of course. I apologize for having shown you such a sight.[Eleanor]

-It's alright, he did deserve it.[Ignea]

-Wait what?! Not you too Ignea![Seiji]

-Miss Ignea is right master, leaving unannounced isn't good![Yuzu]

-Wait, am I getting bullied or something?[Seiji]

-Of course not, silly.[The girls]

Damn, young girls are scary.
