14 Fairy Viewer

"Remember this moment, every single one of you watching!" the handsome young teenager on the screen shouted, holding a large yellow suited man up in the air with one hand easily, "Whether you be a top guild member, a wizard saint or even one of the four gods! This is the moment Fairy Tail begins to take back the spot of the strongest!"

"You fool," Kagura pursed her lips and shook her head, "How could you be so foolhardy to shout a challenge like that out when you know you're being recorded."

"That's just the kind of guy he is nya," Milliana giggled from where she lay near her, eyes on the video lacrima, "He's a lot like Er-chan's old friends, and he's not the type to quietly stew in the background while slowly building the guild back up. He was bound to explode and do something crazy like this at some point."

"He should have just joined us," the ace of Mermaid Heel shook her head again, "He would have been better suited to a place like this, and he would have enjoyed it much more since he is a philanderer." she finished, punctuating her statement by eyeing the scantily clad cat girl beside her who made no effort to conceal her breasts nearly hanging out of her bikini top.

"Nya?" Milliana blinked in confusion before catching on to what she meant and crossing her arms over her bust, hiding them from view, "We only did it a few times." the cat girl scowled.

"A few dozen maybe, it wasn't hard to hear you," Kagura replied simply, "And he was only here for three days when he helped us."

"You say it like that, but you're awfully insistent he join us," Milliana countered, "I think you just like the attention he gives you cuz he isn't scared of you."

A slight flush spread across the tanned sword users cheeks and she looked away, "Completely wrong!" she denied, losing a bit of her composure at the accusation, "All the time he flirted with me was just annoying and a complete waste of time that cut into my training time!"

"Nyaaaa." a cattish smile spread across Milliana's face.

This is the moment Fairy Tail begins to take back the spot of the strongest!"

As the recording on the lacrima came to a close, Jiemma, master of the top guild of Fiore, Saberooth growled, his massive meaty hands gripping the arms of the chair he was sitting on so hard they snapped off, "As you all can see," the old man near snarled, "This uppity brat seeks to challenge us! He boasted so proudly to anyone watching after crushing Twilight Ogre, a guild with over three hundred and fifty members alone."

"Ah," Yukino, the sixth strongest member of the guild asked quietly, "Who exactly is he master?"

"Just some brat from Fairy Tail, as he said, it doesn't matter," the massive old man shrugged with a growl, "What does matter is the sheer arrogance he holds to dare bleat a challenge like that out!"

"Ah, but I have memorized his face from before," Rufus piped up, smiling in superiority, "Cobalt Ray is his name my fellows. Former commander of Rune Knight's first division anti mage corp and Sea God Slayer, he had some interesting spells for me to memorize."

That caught Orga's attention, "God Slayer?" the massive, green haired man grinned, "I wonder how he measures up to me?"

"He's no threat," Sting shrugged lazily, "God Slayer or not, he's only one guy, and a barely one at that. Look at him, he's younger than even Natsu-san was before he got killed off."

"All it takes is one," Rogue rebuked quietly and seriously, "He may act like a beacon for those who wish to challenge us. Wielders of Lost Magic are big deals, they attract others to them quickly."

"We'll see," Sting shook his head contemptuously, before turning to look at the final member gathered with them, the ace of their guild, Minerva, and the daughter of their master, "What do you think of this milady?" he asked.

"We should be wary of him." Minerva replied simply.

"Eh," Sting blinked, "But why?" he questioned, and everyone in the rooms eyes went to the ace of the guild.

"The Rune Knight's are trained extensively in anti mage combat, the only reason they aren't a massive threat is simply because of their lack of magic power to further enhance their bodies," the blue dress wearing beauty explained, crossing her gloved arms, "He does not have that issue, if the demolished guild in that recording is anything to go by, and would receive the physical training of a Rune Knight as is expected of them, even more so considering his former rank."

She turned and looked at her father, "Massive magical power, a body trained to the utmost limit, and one of the most powerful types of magic of all," she listed, "With all that together, he may very well be stronger than any single one of us in this room."

"Fine," Jiemma grunted, standing up and looking to the ceiling. "Consider him a threat and show him no mercy when the time comes. He has a measly nine months until the Grand Magic Games, there won't be much he can do with that shamble of a guild, he'll be the only threat."

Yukino looked between the members of her guild and felt her shoulders tremble slightly at the tense atmosphere being generated by them all. Was it really okay to basically declare war on one boy, strong mage or not simply because he wanted to make his guild strong?

"What a mouthy little brat," Ooba Babasama, the guild master of Lamia Scale snorted as the recording lacrima dimmed, "I should spin him."

"Calm yourself master," Jura laughed deeply, and joy coloured it, "To think Fairy Tail would make such a grand declaration. Some new blood have done them well. Though, I can't help but think I've seen him somewhere before."

"You have dimwit," Ooba replied, "He's that former big shot, the Sea God Slayer that was the head of the first division anti mage corps, the council was using him as a threat to keep rambunctious guilds in line for a while."

"Oh was that him?" Jura's eyes lit up in realization and he stroked his long goatee, "He's younger than I thought he'd be then, he must only be around Chelia's age then."

"He looks fun! I've never seen another God Slayer besides that mean guy from Sabertooth," Chelia chimed in. She turned to Jura and smiled brightly, "Can I come with you to meet him, the next time you go to see Fairy Tail Jura?" she asked.

"Careful Chelia," Lyon crossed his arms, "He gives off the same kind of vibe as that old blockhead dragon slayer, he'll probably demolish everything in sight for a simple spar." Despite the mocking insult, the ice make mage had a fond smile on his face.

He'd never admit it, but he did so miss his old friend Gray.

"I don't see why not," Jura mused, "But make sure to keep training hard. You wouldn't want to fall behind your fellow god slayer now would you?"

"Don't worry, I will!" Chelia chirped back happily.

The moment the recording ended, the meeting chamber of the magic council erupted into pandemonium, "I knew that brat was no good!" one older gentleman roared, "He was always a wild uncontrollable sort!"

"A hooligan joining the former top group of hooligans!" Another, a woman screeched, "He's going to cause anarchy!"

"Silence!" The chairman, Gran Doma shouted, banging his staff on the ground loudly and silencing everyone. When they quieted down, he sighed, covering his eyes with his large hat, "That brat, not even left a week and he's already causing a commotion." he grumbled.

He turned to look out the corner of his right eye when he heard chuckling beside him. He directed a deadpan stare at Org, the second seat and once the man who hated Fairy Tail the most in Fiore for a time, now their biggest advocate, "I suppose you are enjoying this?" Gran Doma grunted out irritably.

"He looks to be having fun," Org chortled, "And with him at the helm, Fairy Tail is bound to rise again. His squad was so successful they moved on to working for the King personally after he left, and the minor members are all far stronger than those of other divisions."

"That brat is going to cause me no ends of headache isn't he?" Doma groaned.

"Well now, isn't that interesting," Ultear hummed in interest as the recording faded away, "It looks like a new player has stepped up to the board, and on Fairy Tail's side at that."

"He's pretty bold," Meredy chuckled, leaning over from where she sat cross legged, peering into the recording lacrima to get another look at the purple haired boy, "Throwing down a challenge like that is just inviting everyone to come and take a shot at him."

"He's not a new player, I know him," Jellal piped up, fingers laced together and resting his chin on them, drawing the attention of the two women with him, "He was the talk of the Rune Knight's years ago before you bust me out, the Sea God Slayer, I remember the guards gushing about it when he joined."

"A God Slayer!?" Meredy's lovely crimson red eyes flew wide open, "Like Zancrow?"

"Interesting," Ultear hummed, "I wonder how he measures up? Zancrow was one of two strongest of the seven kin, possibly the strongest considering his magic countered Azuma's."

Because of the sheer raw power at his fingertips, Zancrow even edged out her by a bit. It was a wonder Natsu Dragneel managed to defeat him and quite the feat.

"I've heard rumours about him over the last few years," Jella continued, "He rose up to be the commander of the anti mage corp first division, there's good odds he could be a match for how powerful Zancrow was back then, maybe even more powerful."

"Huh, he doesn't look it," Meredy blinked, lifting the recording lacrima up and eyeing the boys visage, "He's kinda cute actually, he's got that mischievous little brother kind of look about him that makes you just want to smother in a hug right?"

"No that's just you," Ultear retorted, "You've never had a boyfriend, so you're just projecting."

"I am not Ul!" Meredy puffed her cheeks out and whined. When the woman who raised her only smirked at her, the pink haired girl growled and launched herself at her, resulting in a wrestling match between the two.

"It might be a good idea to make contact with him," Jellal hummed himself, ignoring Meredy's attraction to him and the commotion they were making with the practised ease that came from being around only two women, one a growing teenager for seven years, "Fairy Tail is still a target. It might do to unlock his second origin though and hopefully gain him as an informant."

"Oh shut up Jellal!" Ultear shouted at him as she pinned Meredy and sat on the younger females back, "We know you just want to look out for Fairy Tail because they're the guild the girl who was like a sister to you belonged to."

"Yeah!" Meredy agreed from her position under Ultear, "You even went and beat down Jose Por-whatever when he escaped from prison and tried to finish the remaining members of Fairy Tail off for revenge."

A flush spread across the blue haired man's face, "Why can I never win?" he lamented with a sigh, head dropping.
