2 Illusion Magic
after a minute the rock finally split into two halves and the sight that welcomed Kain was one that he will never be able to forget.
he was in what seemed like a thick forest, surrounded by three so high that they seemed to touch the sky with their foliage and the sun wasn't even visible, the meteor crashing in the forest left a pretty big hole among the trees making it possible to watch the clear sky, in front of him was visible a little lake with some little blue crystals illuminating it with the little light that they all emitted creating a spectacular view.
After admiring the landscape, he neared the lake walking relatively slowly, once he arrived at the lake e looked down at the water mirror and what he could see amazed him.
In the water was reflected the figure of a man in his twenties with a muscular but lean body and a handsome face, his hairs were long and reached his shoulders and his eyes were as red as blood combined with his long and pointy ears made his face looks fierce but gentle at the same time, but the most noticeable things weren't his eyes, ears or face but his beautiful pair of wings, they were of a white and semi-transparent color and had the same shape of butterfly wings.
Kain started admiring the perfect figure in front of him as if he got charmed by this image but then he remembered that that figure was him.
"ok, I'm not a narcissist but, fuck, ain't I too beautiful?" Kain thought
[well, almost all Fae are beautiful, you could be considered slightly more beautiful than them but still nothing special for a Fae, apart from your wings that are considered the peak of holiness]
"well, I should stop and consider the important matters " Kain said, finally having a mouth to speak was the best.
"so System can you tell me what function you possess?" Kain questioned the system
[well I don't have the status panel like those fake system as it would be ureal, but I can keep track of your skills and progression in magic, but I don't possess things level or the kind because you can become stronger only with training and not like those useless MCs that do nothing and became overpowered]
"so you are useless?" Kain teased the System
[I'M NOT USELESS! I have a lot of useful functions, like a navigator, maybe you could think that it's useless but trust me, you will never get lost and in a world like this it's maybe one of the most useful things you could ask for as this world is enormous, then I have also an artificial library that can analyze every technique that is compatible with the host and store it in the form of a digital file clearing out all of his flaws and making it reach his best form, but host need to see them in use and the most difficult the technique is the most time you will need to see it in order to store it]

"well, a cheat system is a cheat system, your abilities are broken" Kain exclaimed in amazement

"well, thanks but no" Kain said jokingly
"now, to return to the topic, where am I and how strong am I?" Kain questioned
[You are currently situated in the Forest of Narki in the kingdom of the Wood-elves and the capital of the kingdom is 300 kilometers from your current position and your strength is the same of a baby elf not considering the race abilities that you still need to awaken, apart from your agelessness that is an intrinsic characteristic of a Fae body, maybe with a little of practice you could create a small illusion, like create a bit of water from nothing, obviously, it's only an illusion and doesn't have any physical characteristics, so you can't drink it, only a very powerful Fae can create an illusion realistic enough to be tangible and maybe able to kill someone physically, but don't worry as you will become stronger and more proficient with illusions, you will be able to kill your enemies mentally]
"Alright, but how much distant is the Fae kingdom from here?"
[the Fae kingdom isn't in this realm but is accessible by portals all around the world, that's what makes the Fae race so mysterious and secluded, but at the same time difficult to attack as not all the races are eligible to use the portals and during war times a Fae strong enough could close all those portals so that they can isolate their realm make it almost impossible to attack]
"oh, I understand, so where is the nearest portal?" Kain asked a bit dumbfounded
[the nearest portal is 5000 kilometers from your current direction the estimated time to reach it with your current strength and inability to fly long distance, 1 year 5 months and 15 days if you never stop and go in a straight line]
"so currently is impossible huh " Kain thought disappointed
[host could venture toward the elves capital and in the process strengthen himself]
"but, correct me if I'm wrong, wood elves a seclusive race?" Kain asked
[you don't have to worry as Fae and wood elves have a good relationship and they will make you enter without problems]
"so I guess that now I should start heading toward the elves kingdom and start to practice my powers" Kain thought
"so how much time will it takes to reach the wood elves kingdom capital?"
[ 15 days if you are fast and don't stop too much or 30-40 days by walking slowly and taking time to practice]
"Alright, I guess that it will be a pretty long journey" Kain said full of expectation towards his new adventure.
So Kain started heading toward the Wood-elves capital, after five hours of walking Kain decided to ask the system how he could train his powers.
"So System, how do I train my illusion powers and my magic?" Kain asked
[to train your magic you need to circulate your mana in your body and at the same time absorbing the one that surrounds you, in this way, you will increase your mana capacity, but firstly to absorb the mana you need to feel it, while to train your illusion magic since it's a racial ability, you just need to use it, the more you use it the better it is, System suggests the Host start by creating something simple and that Host had contact with a lot of time, an example could be creating some little bubbles of water and make them follow you]
"how do I create those bubbles?" kain questioned the System
[well, for now, you need to concentrate and think about water, then slowly give them a bubble-like shape and continue concentrating to make them move and follow you, but as time goes by and you become more accustomed to your powers, you will be able to create illusions and make them do specific actions subconsciously and when you master your illusion magic you could be able to create for example a realm in which you can trap your enemy mind for eternity]
"Alright, so I just need to concentrate and imagine them"

'so I just need to imagine them' Kain thought.
I start to try to imagine something related to water.
in just 10 seconds the image of the lake that he was observing 5 hours ago formed in his head, the water in the lake was calm and placid, with not even one ripple.
'now, I just need to imagine some of the water contained in the lake separate from it and form some bubbles.' Kain started concentrating, even if it seems easy, it wasn't easy at all, because the image needs to be vivid and clear.
In just a moment a little bit of water started floating in mid-air, now the only thing that remained to do was giving the formless water a bubble shape, Kain concentrated like never before and in just some instants, the water took the desired shape.
Kain opened his eyes and found two little water bubbles floating in mid-air in front of him, it was an amazing sight, in just a moment Kain becomed excited but that caused his concentration to fade and so the water bubbles did as well.
"That was the coolest thing in the world " Kain excitedly said to the system
[I'm pretty impressed, you were able to create your first illusion so quickly, considering that you have been in this form for only 5/6 hours, I had estimated that to make your first illusion you would have had to train for at least one or two ours]
"ok now I only need to train"
[Warning: An unidentified creature is nearing Host, Advise: System advise the host to fly over a tree to hide]
"fuck, how do I fly???" Kain asked the System agitated
[Are you stupid?? you just need to flap your wings!]
"calm down, sorry if this is the first time that I ever had a pair of wings attached on my back "
[Alright now just try to fly since an unidentified creature will pass here exactly in a minute]
'fuck I need to use those things' Kain thought.
I started flapping my wings in a clumsy manner and I was only able to fly about a meter from the soil before losing control and falling.
I started panicking, the trees around me were all at least fifty meters above the ground and there was no way that I could fly that high in less than a minute.
'fuck, I'm running out of time'
[Warning: 10 seconds before the creature arrive at the Host location]
'fuck, if I can't reach those tall trees I can still hide behind one of them, hope that creature won't find me'
I quickly ran behind one of those tall and large trunks.
I suddenly hear the rustle of leaves that are moved and the crunch of sticks that are trampled on, sweat drops begin to form in my palms as I try to breathe as little as possible.
[Ah, Host doesn't need to worry, it was only a Nim]
"What is a Nim?"
[it's a docile creature that fears most of the creatures that aren't part of their race and they only do photosynthesis to survive]
"they do photosynthesis?"
"Are they creatures like plants?"
[you just need to watch and you will understand]
"alright" I answer with a slightly irritated tone of voice.
As I turn myself and exit from my hiding spot, a strange but beautiful creature enters my line of sight.
