93 Chapter-92 "He is in a League of his Own!" pt-2

Chapter-92
"Do you really believe that you can take us all on by yourself?" (Momo)
Rather than answering her question, Erik looked towards Naotsugu and motioned for the latter to make his move.
Naotsugu acknowledges Erik's message with a nod and walks towards Tobi.
He flicks his left hand as a long-sword appeared from his sleeves. The sword had a strange design; it was extremely large, even when compared to regular katana.
Naotsugu raised his left hand which was holding the sword, and pointed towards the enemy!
"Ho… you want to fight me?"
"I accept!" (Tobi)
Declaring his eagerness to confront the youngest sword-saint, Tobi submerged into the ground, disappearing from everyone's sight.
"Careful! He seems troublesome…" (Erik)
As soon as Erik finished warning Naotsugu, the latter had to bend his body backward; about 90 degrees to prevent a long spear that had emerged from the ground; from stabbing his throat.
Naotsugu immediately jumps back to create distance between himself and his enemy who had just reemerged from the ground; from the exact place he was standing on.
"From the looks of it, he seems to be vulnerable when his body submerges into the ground…"
"…such peculiar magic."
Erik observed the fight between Naotsugu and Tobi with an indifferent expression, to say he wasn't fascinated by the magic displayed by the enemy; would be a lie.
Whoosh!
"You should focus on your battle rather than worrying about your friend!" (Momo)
The other 13-individuals had already surrounded Erik from all sides as multiple magic sequences lit up the sky!
"[Modern-Magic:-Hail storm]" (1)
"[Ancient-Magic:-Boulder Toss]" (2)

Multiple magic sequences bombarded Erik from all sides!
A loud explosion rang out in the vicinity of the forest as a powerful shockwave spread throughout the area; like a mini-tremor had just hit the place.
"Hah! Never thought it will be this easy!" (Black-clothed individual)
One of the individuals sneered, looking at the dust cloud which was covering the area where Erik had been standing all this time.

"Juumonji-san, we gotta help Erik-nii!" (Erika)
"Oni-san is busy fighting those other individuals and can't assist Erik-nii!" (Erika)
"Even though he is very strong, even Erik-nii can't fight 13-people at the same time, right?."
Erika had a concerned expression on her face as she looked towards the massive dust cloud covering the battlefield.
Even though she hadn't known Erik for a long time, only two prior years, that doesn't mean she doesn't care for him.
You could say that Erik was like an older brother to her, a family friend.
He was good friends with Chiba Naotsugu, her brother, and a close friend of Watanabe Mari, her future sister-in-law!
So it was natural for her to worry about his safety.
Juumonji Katsuto still had an impassive expression on his face.
"Keep watching..." (Katsuto)

"Interesting…." (Erik)
Whoosh!
A powerful wind burst everywhere!
Like a raging storm, it drowned the forest in violent gales which threatened to uproot the trees.
"Tch!" (Black-clothed individual)
The 13-individuals confronting Erik had to concentrate psion under their feet to withstand the wind pressure they were being subjected to.
The violent winds impacted the barrier that Katsuto had created to protect the others from the fight.
"Attacking when your enemy is not paying attention..." (Erik)
"...that's a good strategy." (Erik)
"A group of offensive attackers, distraction, decoys..." (Erik)
"...to battle me, you will need to use all of those battle strategies, and even then, your chance of defeating me is very slim." (Erik)
Erik had an indifferent expression on his face as he looked towards his enemies.
"Humph! With this many of us attacking do you really think you can stay calm?" (Momo)
Momo sneered as she reminded Erik that he was surrounded by them!
"Do not underestimate him!" (Tobi)
"Look at him, he is not even fazed..." (Tobi)
"...there is not a single scratch on his body!"
(Tobi)
Dodging a slash towards his neck, Tobi backs away from Naotsugu and warns the others to stay focused.
Erik gazed at the 13-individuals standing all around him.
"You all really think that because you have me outnumbered, you can crush me?" (Erik)
"Think again..." (Erik)
"...you see, my understanding of what the word 'power' means is undoubtedly, radically different than what the word means to you." (Erik)
"I will teach you..." (Erik)
Whoosh!
Erik disappeared from his position and reappeared near the closest enemy, the sword in his hand raised above his head.
The blade of the sword was covered in purple-lightning!
"...when I talk about 'power'," (Erik)
The enemy reinforced his left hand in a hurry; using [Data Fortification], wanting to withstand the incoming strike with minimum damage!
"...here's what I mean." (Erik)
Chii!
Erik brings down his sword, directly separating the left hand of the enemy from his body; directly ignoring the effects of fortification!
Splatter!
Blood spilled out from the severed hand of the enemy who let out a battle cry!
"Rhhaaa!" (Black-clothed individual)
His eyes were bloodshot from the pain he was feeling but he pressed on!
He bit his teeth and swings a dagger towards Erik's face, only to be blocked by the sword that Erik had borrowed from Kirihara.
"Hm..." (Erik)
Slash!
"Arghh!" (Black-clothed individual)
Immediately after blocking the dagger, Erik slashes across the enemy's chest, slicing a big chunk of meat from the latter's chest.
The enemy falls on the ground, bleeding from his chest as he struggled to breathe!
"Shit!" (Black-clothed individual)
Two of the 13-individuals formed a barrier, encasing themselves and Tsukasa inside; to protect the latter.
After all, he was the true target!
Others immediately jumped towards Erik, wanting to bring him down as soon as possible!
"[Convergence-Type:-Light whip]"
One of the individuals used convergence magic to form a whip made of sunlight and attacks Erik.
Unfortunately for him, Erik was unparalleled in [Convergence-Type] and [Absorption-Type] magic.
He directly took hold of the light whip and started absorbing the light stored within!
He pulled on the whip!
Chii!
Slash!
Once again Erik sliced his lightning-coated sword across the enemy's chest; whom he had pulled along his magic.
"Haaa!" (Black-clothed individual)
Another one of the enemies approaches Erik!
His left palm held a purple orb which seemed to be pulsating with energy!
Taking a side-step, Erik dodges the incoming attack with lightning speed!
Chii!
Slash!
Another slash, another bleeding opponent!
One of the black-clothed individuals who haven't made their move yet finally stepped on the battlefield.
Erik turned to look at the newcomer.
"Is it your turn now? Very interesting!" (Erik)
"I didn't expect you to approach me from the front..." (Erik)
"One must not expect beauty out of the battle or virtue in death, it's not merely your life at stake here." (Erik)
"If you truly wish to protect your comrades, you should attack me from behind." (Erik)
"Every person who is willing to kill the opponent should have learned this..." (Erik)
"Especially a member of [The 7-Kings]..." (Erik)
Hearing Erik's words, the newcomer let out a smile as she spoke.
"I never expected someone like you to talk about how someone, who is willing to kill should act." (Nina)
"How ironic..." (Nina)
Hearing the sarcastic tone of the newcomer, Erik calmly replied.
"Let's face the facts, you think you can defeat me?" (Erik)
"Me? Not defeat you?..." (Nina)
The said person immediately burst into multiple copies of herself!
"Now you see..." (Nina)
Erik had an impressed expression on his face as he looked at another unique spell.
"Cloning huh? This is quite an impressive performance..." (Erik)
"Thank you, never before have I been praised for my magic by the enemy." (Nina)
"So to thank you, I will finish you off..." (Nina)
"...with this performance!" (Nina)
She burst into speed, approaching Erik as her palm glowed with strange neon color.
"How naive!" (Erik)
Erik raised his sword to attack!
Unfortunately seemingly out of nowhere, a block of ice suddenly froze his blade mid-motion.
This momentary distraction was all that Nina needed!
Bam!
She immediately smashed her palm onto Erik's chest!

"[Ancient-Magic:-Killing Will] huh?" (Erik)
"Uhh!?..." (Nina)
Erik grabbed Nina's hand to keep her from running away as he berates her magic.
"What an amusing magic..." (Erik)
"...but it's not good enough." (Erik)
"What!?" (Nina)
Nina had a shocked expression on her face!
Her magic has ultimately failed her this time!
"This specific magic projects the user's will onto the enemy in order to overwhelm his soul..." (Erik)
"...but in case the target's will is stronger than the user, this magic will not have any effect." (Erik)
"I can easily overwhelm your silly will with my own Will..." (Erik)
Crack!
Erik breaks the ice that was holding his sword, fully intending to end his enemy in one swing of his sword.
But...
Stab!
"How careless of you..." (Rudy)
Another one of the black-clothed individuals appeared behind Erik and stabbed him in the back while the latter was busy dealing with Nina.
"I couldn't sense you, you bastard!" (Erik)
Erik coughed out some blood as he glared at his attacker.
"It's all over, Mr.Saltzman!" (Momo)
Tsukasa's girlfriend rushed towards Erik with a spear in her hands.
Both Nina and Rudy chose to back away!
"You really are naive, you recklessly charge when you see an opening, that is your biggest weakness!..." (Erik)
Erik raised his lightning-coated sword, wanting to confront the incoming enemy but just then, another Black-clothed individual caught his eye.
This man had a magic sequence around his hand.
Looking at the magic sequence using [Boosted Elemental Sight], Erik immediately understood the working of the spell!
"Huh? No, it's the other way around!" (Erik)
Stab!
Suddenly, Momo disappeared from his vision and appeared behind him.
Burying her spear deep inside Erik's chest!
"Ahh!..." (Erik)
Erik moved his other hand to hold the tip of the spear that was coming out of his chest!
He gripped it tightly!
Unfortunately, there was nothing else he could do at this point.
His hold on the spear that had pierced his chest; loosened up as he let go.

His body went limp.
"They did it! They finally did it!" (Black-clothed individual)
"They killed Mr.Saltzman!" (Black-clothed individual)
The two black-clothed individuals who created the barrier around Tsukasa finally relaxed as the barrier disappeared.
"Haha....hey Tsukasa, now we have something to celebrate!" (Black-clothed individual)
As if he hadn't heard his protector speak, Tsukasa continued to move in the opposite direction from the battlefield.
"Tsukasa? Where are you going?" (Black-clothed individual)
"You fools! What the hell are you all doing!?" (Tobi)
Suddenly, a loud roar resounded throughout the forest as everyone turned towards Tobi; who was fighting against Naotsugu.
Everyone immediately snapped out of 'it'.
They couldn't believe what they were seeing!
Instead of Erik, it was Tsukasa who had a spear running through his chest!
And what made all this much more shocking was the fact that it was Momo who had pierced her lover with her spear.
Everyone, no matter who!...
...were shocked by such development!
"But how!?" (Rudy)
Rudy questioned before something clicked in his mind!
As if understanding something, he immediately turned towards Tsukasa.
Slash!
The two Black-clothed individuals who were standing near Tsukasa were suddenly slashed by Erik who had appeared in place of Tsukasa.
Everyone was shell-shocked by Erik's appearance!
"How did you do it?" (Rudy)
Rudy immediately questioned his enemy with an aggressive expression on his face!
"A good question..." (Erik)
Erik still had a calm expression on his face as he replied.
"...so when did I do it?" (Erik)
"The spell I used was borderline hypnosis..." (Erik)
"...it can alter your perception about what's real?" (Erik)
"It is very overpowering that it can control all five-senses and lead people to hallucinate all kinds of things." (Erik)
"Shut up! I understand that!..." (Rudy)
"...I am asking, when did you use that spell!?" (Rudy)
"So here's a question for you; now consider this..." (Erik)
"...at what time did you think that I wasn't using the spell?" (Erik)

Tsukasa knew that he was going to die!
He could feel warmth slowly feeling his body!
He slowly turned his head to look at his lover.
"Momo, why?" (Tsukasa)
"A...h..a..g....AAAHHH!" (Momo)
Momo snapped!
The look on her lover's face was that of blame and anger!
And it was all directed towards her!
She had just killed her love with her own hands!
"Rhhhaa!" (Momo)
Without any sense of existence, Momo rushed towards Erik while all her psion gathering at the tip of her spear.
Yet, Erik wasn't fazed!
"You have..." (Erik)
"...so many openings." (Erik)
Chii!
Slash!
He directly separated her whole right arm from her body!
Other members of the [The 7-Kings] also rushed towards their Erik!
Slash!

One by one, each member of [The 7-Kings] was laying on the ground, except Tobi of course.
Severed limbs and blood covered the ground, along with half-dead bodies of the enemies!

Katsuto spoke to Erika and the others who had various expressions on their faces!
"...others don't fear Erik just because he is very talented and has large psion reserves." (Katsuto)
"Yes, his talent and magic reserves are indeed powerful, but those alone wouldn't have been enough to command so many skilled magicians within the school..." (Katsuto)
"...who would rather get punished than obey." (Katsuto)
"There is only one reason why the various groups within the school are able to function as a single unit..." (Katsuto)
"... despite their vastly different personalities and ambitions!" (Katsuto)
"It because..." (Katsuto)
"...he is strong!" (Katsuto)
"Both in magic and normal world..." (Katsuto)
"...his abilities, speed, precision exceeds that of any other person I have ever known." (Katsuto)
"He has no equal." (Katsuto)
"You can attempt to safeguard against his magic all you want..." (Katsuto)
"...but you can never prepare enough!" (Katsuto)
"Even if you put your heads together..." (Katsuto)
"...he will out-think you!" (Katsuto)
"Take all the precautions you can against the unfortunate events like the sky falling or the earth splitting..." (Katsuto)
"...but I can assure you, there is really no use in trying!" (Katsuto)
"Create all the elaborate plans you want, but his superior powers will undo any of your schemes!" (Katsuto)

"[Blue-Flames]" (???)
Erik immediately jumped backward as the place where he had been standing was drowned into a sea of blue-colored flames which seemed to not affect the fallen enemy.
"[Convergence-Type:-Frozen Forest]" (Erik)
While still in the air, Erik activated his magic as a magic sequence appeared on the ground beneath him.
A huge tree made out of pure ice emerged from the ground, giving the airborne Erik a solid surface to stand on!
Unfortunately, even the powerful magic which even forced Dachi in a corner couldn't stop the out slaughter of the blue flames!
Erik jumped away from the frozen tree while it served its purpose to take care of the blue flames.
"[Earthen Hands]" (???2)
Multiple thick arms made out of mud and rocks emerged from the ground and assaulted Erik, mid-air.
Fortunately, Erik was able to avoid each one of them without much of a problem; by twisting and turning his body.
He safely landed on the ground.
"Tch!" (Tobi)
"Release!" (Tobi)
A large amount of power burst forth Tobi's body, he directly sent Naotsugu crashing into multiple trees!
Fortunately, Naotsugu had reinforced his body using [Data Fortification] to sustain the damage.
Temporarily having dealt with Naotsugu, Tobi jumped in the air and his psion started to gather in his right palm!
"[Gaint Rasengan]" (Tobi)
"[Mobile Earth]" (???.2)
Suddenly the ground beneath, Erik started to rise with great speed towards a flying Tobi, who was approaching Erik with a powerful attack.
"Hmm...." (Erik)
Using [Acceleration-Magic], Erik immediately moved away from the alleviating ground, effectively dodging the incoming attack.
Bang!
Tobi's palm connected with the ground where Erik had been standing on and the whole area completely caved in!
In this whole exchange, neither of the two opposing parties sustained any serious injuries.
Erik retreated beside Katsuto and Naotsugu who had just recovered his energy!
He observed two newcomers who stood beside Tobi wearing similar clothes that completely hide their features.
"We will retreat, we already have what we came here for..." (Erik)
"Hmm..." (Katsuto)
"Yeah..." (Naotsugu)
Knowing very well that two more 'Kings' had joined the fight, Erik chose to retreat.
Not to mention, he had already taken care of Tsukasa as he promised.
Erik raised his palm towards the three newcomers and activated his magic.
"[Convergence-Type:-Dust storm]"
A huge amount of dust assaulted the battlefield, making it easy for Erik, Naotsugu, and Katsuto to retreat along with the others.
The Three Kings chose not to pursue them, after all, they still had to make sure that those still alive don't die.
