(Mayumi's POV)
I don't know if I should thank Su-chan or not.
She was the one, in charge of booking the show tickets and our seats.
Now, it was only right for Mari to sit beside Naotsugu so that they can cuddle in the dar-ahem! I mean, have fun watching the movie.
Mari and Naotsugu were sitting in the front seat, whereas Erika and Su-chan were sitting two rows behind them.
The energetic red-head and the willow beauty, what a combination!
Now I didn't have any problem with everyone not sitting together but that means that I will sit beside Erik, in the 4th row from the end!
If it was any other day, I wouldn't have any problem sitting beside my 'close' friend but today, I am feeling very nervous especially after what happened a couple of minutes ago.
The film is a horror movie, courtesy of Mari and her weird quirks!
She must have asked Su-chan to book a horror movie so that she can shriek and cuddle with Naotsugu all she wants!
Faking fear to take advantage! Mari sus!

Anyway, so yeah...I am nervous and excited both at the same time!
But you guys would have known by now, with the amount of '!', I am using in my speech!
I turned to sneak peek at Erik and I don't like the strange smile on his face.

I closed my eyes, trying to calm down my nerves and my frantically beating heart
*Deep breath*

I looked at Erik with a blank expression and muttered in a barely audible tone.

"No! I am not lying! I saw her with my own two eyes, wearing a Nun outfit! Her face was disfigured and she had pale yellow eyes! I swear!...." (Johnny)
"Sigh! Okay, I am going to open the wardrobe..." (Dad)
The young man moves forward towards the wardrobe with an annoyed expression and pulls the door open, revealing a disfigured Nun looking straight at him!
He froze!
"Surprise! Motherfucker!..." (Nun)
"AHHHH…!!!" (Crowd)
(Naotsugu's POV)
Haha….at the end of the day, even my Mari is scared of a ghost!
She screams like a little kid and unconsciously grabs my arm!
So cute!
"Now now Mari, it's just a movie haha…." (Naotsugu)
"Be quiet and let me watch! Humph!....." (Mari)
Sigh! Such a tsundere!....
(Mari POV)
My brilliant plan is working!
Haha...I wonder when the next scary scene will come, it feels so good to cuddle Naotsugu!
I wonder how Mayumi is doing?
She must be grinning from happiness!
After all, I specifically requested Su-chan to make her sit with Erik at the very back.
She must be thanking me!
(Mayumi POV)
Pray that I don't get my hands on you after your birthday ends, Mari!
I am mad at your betrayal but also a tad bit thankful.
To tell the truth, I was worrying for nothing. Erik is so nice to me even after my stupid actions; I should focus on enjoying the movie with him!
Wait! Does that mean we are on a date!?
Now you are overthinking Mayumi, shut up and watch the movie!

"HE IS BEHIND YOU!" (Johnny)

*Proceeds to get his face torn*
"AARHHH!" (Crowd)
(Erik POV)
The movie was quite interesting so to say, the fun elements balanced with the scary ones made it very satisfying to watch, nice pick I must say.
"AARHHH!"
I turned towards Mayumi who just screamed, after seeing the actor get his face torn to shreds by that Nun. Looking at her, I could tell that she was really scared watching the gruesome scene.
So much so, that she unconsciously grabbed my hand out of fear.
Well, she is indeed a teenager so such behaviour is expected. Did I mention, her hands are very soft? I wear gloves but even so, I can feel the texture of her palm.
*Calms down*
"Oh? I am so sorry, Erik…" (Mayumi)
I just smiled at her words; she has been having a hard time handling her emotions.
"It's alright, Mayumi…" (Erik)
She let go of my hand, to make her feel more comfortable. I placed my palm on top of her palm and gave a gentle rub, to help her calm her nerves.
"Relax…" (Erik)
"….hm" (Mayumi)
Sigh! Why do you have to be so shy, Mayumi?
I am not stupid, I can see that she likes me I have known for a few months now.
Even so, there is no need to overthink; she is just a sheltered girl who is in her teens, these emotions are new to her and so she gets shy whenever we are alone, due to any reason.
Thinking about it now; even though I am in my teens as well. My mental age is still above 20 and I am not going to lie, she is very attractive in my eyes
But...I am burdened with my ambitions!
I don't want her to get involved with me, lest she gets in my way!

Pushing aside the dark thoughts, I turned toward Mayumi who was looking at me.
"Hm?" (Erik)

"Go ahead, though I can't promise you that I will answer..." (Erik)
"Why do you always wear gloves to cover your palms?" (Mayumi)
"My Magic...is very powerful, even with my level of control…."
"Sometimes, it is very hard to keep it suppressed. So to avoid hurting anyone, I created a habit of injecting the magic in my palms, so that if I lose control, all my extra magic will get concentrated into my palms..."

I told her a portion of the truth; it's not my magic that is hard to control rather the [Hollow Abilities], and I sometimes use [Hollow's Touch] even when I don't mean to, you already know just how dangerous the [Hollow Abilities] are...

I feel something tightly hold my palm, pulling me out of my thoughts.
I turn my head, only to see Mayumi placing her right hand over my palm that was holding her other palm.
"I believe in you, Erik..." (Mayumi)
"One day you will not need these gloves anymore..." (Mayumi)
*Silence for some time*
"You are a kind girl, Mayumi..." (Erik)
You're beautiful Mayumi and I am selfish, I can't push you away but I wouldn't change...…ever.
How laughable!
The one who is prideful in foretelling other's future, can't even see his own end...
