Chapter:47 Killing Daichi pt-6
"Cover me Katsuto, I am going to deal with the attackers first!....."
The muscles around Erik's thighs tightened and veins popped out on the surface of his skin, the sheer size of his thighs seemed to have increased quite a bit.
š¹šš! (Bam!)
The floor beneath his feet cracked as he propelled his body towards the attackers aiming at him from high ground. Erik had literally jumped a height equivalent to a 3-story tall building.
A sword breaker appeared within his right palm as he approached his target at a high speed.
š¹ššš! (Bang!)
The attackers immediately launched a barrage of bullets right at Erik's face, even when faced with potential death, he remained calm and narrowed his eyes.
"I got your back covered!..."
Katsuto swept his palm towards the hail of bullet that was about to drown Erik from behind, he launched a powerful [Phalanx] towards the bullets, the attackers had surrounded both of them from all sides, so when Erik jumped towards one portion of the attackers, the other assaulted him with bullets aimed at his back.
The [Phalanx] managed to deflect the bullets aimed at Erik's back whereas the mentioned person raised his shoulder cape in front of his, covering his whole body.
"Fire!...."

Erik moved his right palm towards the cape that covered his body, his palm nearly touching the fabric of the cape while he continued to hold the sword breaker in his palm, a magic circle appeared of the back surface of the cape.
"[Acceleration-Type Magic:-Negative Acceleration]..."
The bullets impacted the surface of the cape before losing all their momentum, causing Erik to feel nothing at all from the barrage of bullets that he defended against using his cape.
"You can have this back....."
Unfortunately for the attackers, Erik wasn't done yet. As soon as the bullets lost their momentum, a new magic sequence appeared behind the cape, the previously negated momentum was being re-applied to the bullets in the opposite direction.
"[Acceleration-Type Magic:-Positive Acceleration]...."
Erik jerked his cape outwards, towards the attackers as the previously stopped bullets were somehow launched back towards them.
"As if I will let you!..."
A snort resounded throughout the room as a powerful barrier emerged in front of the attackers, protecting them from their own bullets.
"Let see you dodge this!...."
A long horizontal spatial slash was launched towards Erik who was still mid-air.
"You are fighting me Daichi!....."
Katsuto knew that he wouldn't be able to make a shield powerful enough to withstand the incoming spatial slash due to insufficient time, not to mention Erik was quite away from his position.
He narrowed his eyes as his brain went into overdrive, trying to come up with a viable solution within 1/10th of a second.
'That's it!....'
His eyes widened as an idea came into his mind.
'If I can't block it, I will just relocate the target himself!....'
Katsuto launched a [Phalanx] towards Erik, the construct was poorly made and didn't have any defensive capabilities but was extremely fast, it reached Erik before the spatial attack could.
Erik too understood Katsuto's intentions as he stepped onto the shield made by the latter to propel himself towards Daichi himself, dodging the spatial attack by an inch.
The great ice structure also moved, it's branches launching towards Daichi while Erik was able to manoeuvre mid-air due to propelling him from one point of another by using ice structure's branches.
"I will not let you win!..."
Daichi roared as he fired multiple [Phalanx] in all directions, his psion count was fairly high and he knew for a fact that if left alive, Erik could surely somehow help Katsuto to win against their seeming dead-lock.
He couldn't allow that to happen no matter what! So he decided to first take out the agile one.
Erik moved extremely fast, using the branches made of ice as his foothold, to continuously avoided the multiple shields that were being thrown at him.
The great ice tree also moved its sharp branches towards Daichi who had to step up some defensive barriers to defend against the terrifying tree before he gathered enough power to just ruthlessly slice apart the powerful construct.
Due to the sudden destruction of the tree, Erik couldn't react in time and a force field hit him on the left side of his body.
Even though Erik shifted his body at the last second to avoid being considerable damaged, he still was thrown on the ground as his sword-breaker flew out of his hands and fell behind Daichi who had a smile on his face.
"Erik!....."
Katsuto immediately tried to move forward but the barrage from the attackers had him pinned.
Daichi looked towards the fallen enemy of his with a sneer on his ruthless face.
"Not so fast now, are we?.....pkkk!.."
"The hā"
Daichi suddenly vomited a good amount of blood which had suddenly started to fill his throat, the taste of the iron within the blood was unfortunately bad.
"H-How.....?"
The sword breaker that had fallen away from its user was now lodged deeply into the back of the main defence of the attacker.
If one were to focus on the crouching figure of the young Saltzman, one could see a neigh invisible vibranium wire attached to his fingers.
Erik knew for a fact that Daichi wouldn't allow him to get close to him, thus he decided to use himself as a bait to lure out the psychopath into dropping his guard.
The sword breaker had [Hollow's touch] blessing, making it possible to immobilize the target as long as the weapon and body of the target connect physically.
"With him out of the way! Let's deal with you all!..."
Katsuto launched a powerful Omni-direction [Phalanx], crushing the attackers to death and they couldn't do anything since Daichi was immobilized by Erik's dagger at the moment.
"You have been defeated Juumonji Daichi, not to say that I hadn't predicted your defeat..."
After taking care of the attackers, Katsuto walked forward towards his former friend and spoke in a pained tone.
"You shouldn't have joined that syndicate!..."
"Do you know what Rin would have said if she ever had the chance to see you like this! Like a monster!..."
"She decided to die by the hands of the one she loved.....to protect the Juumonji clan....."
"No matter what words you say, to me! The you! Who couldn't protect Rin is an Imposter!...."
"To me, Rin is someone not meant to die!....."
"So the dead Rin is also an Imposter!...."
"Rin is only Rin alive!..."
"The Magician system, the clan, the magicians themselves, they created these circumstances!..."
"What caused me to despair is this world itself, this counterfeit world!....."
"Look at me!....."
"Ah!...."
"There is nothing in my heart! I don't feel pain any longer!!
"You don't have to feel guilty, Katsuto....."
"This hole was opened by this world of hell, I only have pain inside here....."
"Daichi...."
"I will never stop! Not until I have killed every single one of those who are a part of this accursed system..."
".....You will be locked inside the Juumonji Clan prison."
"Hahahahaha.....you may have won the fight Katsuto, BUT I WILL WIN THE WAR!!!....."
Tremendous amounts of psion burst out of Daichi's body, extremely terrifying spatial pressure crushed the very space around his body.
"Hahahaha....I WILL TAKE YOU DOWN WITH ME KATSUTO! AND EVERYONE ELSE!...."
"DAICHI!!!!..."
Daichi was using all of his life-force to detonate a tremendous spatial distortion which would devour the entirety of the Tokyo city.
Katsuto pushed his magic to its limits, trying to contain the chaotic spatial power coming from his friend.
'I have already lost Rin!...'
'I can't lose you too!.....'
Blood leaked out of Katsuto's ears and nose, he tried his best to stay awake and push back the powerful spatial distortion that threatened to kill everyone within Tokyo.
"Hahahahah...!"
"ALL OF YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU FUCKING DESERVE!....."
'I can't...give up!....'
He tried his best to stay awake when and not lose consciousness, but the spatial distortion released by his former friend wasn't something he could endure.
Katsuto's body finally gave in, he flew backwards as he watched his friend by covered within the chaotic space.
'I....am....sorry!...'
Knowing this could very well be the end for them all, Katsuto relaxed his body and his eyelid were being forced shut.
'Huh? Erik....'
Just before losing consciousness, Katsuto saw Erik standing before his falling body, his back straight and right palm outstretched towards his former friend within the chaotic space.
"[Time:-Chrono Dust]..."
A blinding light emerged from Erik's palm, the whole opera was illuminated from an intense light as he finally lost consciousness.
