Chapter-154 "Crystal Eyes" and "My demons" pt-7 (Side-Chapter-7)

Erik once again formed more of the [Chrono-Dust] and launched it towards his gigantic spheres/deflectors!

*Bam!*
*Badam!*
Explosions resounded throughout the mindscape!
"Rwaa!"
The gigantic dragon spewed a gigaton of energy towards the incoming translucent sphere that had been hot on his tail for the past five minutes.
*Boom!*
Another round of explosions resounded throughout the mindscape as the spirit negated Erik's attack with his beam.
The winged lizard then turned to glare down at the lonely figure of his opponent.
"Troublesome human! I will show you, my might!" (Spirit)
"Rwaa!"
Erik stared at the elevated figure of the spirit who seemed to be finally taking this fight seriously.
The latter's stomach swelled quite a bit as he spewed lots of blue-colored fire which seemed to be unmatched in intensity.
*Blazing flames!*
Erik narrowed his eyes towards the incoming sea of flames before deciding that it would be better to retreat rather than trying to meet the attack, head-on.
Using the ability to accelerate time around himself, he wrapped himself inside his aura and disappeared from his initial position which was soon after drowned in a sea of flames.
He appeared far away from the attack radius...
Unfortunately, this wasn't any simple flame.
"Let's see how will you avoid this!" (Spirit)
The spirit let out a menacing laugh as the blue-flames that had been scorching the ground, suddenly shot up in the fire!
The flames took the form of a smaller dragon, identical-looking to the spirit; mid-air!
Erik immediately activated his magic and wrapped himself inside a [Time:-Chrono Stasis] sphere.
*Rwaa!*
The fire-construct devoured the white sphere with Erik in it!
*flames!*
The fire-construct took the shape of a blazing blue sphere, trapping the enemy within with no way out!
"Muhahaha!" (Spirit)
Feeling haughty, the spirit bellowed in laughter!
Within the falling-apart sphere made of blue-flames, Erik could be seen extending his hands around him.
"You are displeasing to the eyes..." (Erik)
His laugh came to a premature end as the blazing-blue sphere shone with an intense white light which pierced it all over!
"[Time:-Smaller Chrono Anastasis]" (Erik)
A clock face materialized around him and expanded outward; covering the targeted area.
*Za warrrruuuudo!*
Within that area, Erik was able to stop the time; freezing the flames around him before he rewinds the time to the point where the flames were yet to be ignited!
His actions were reflected by the hands on the clock.
The flaming sphere de-materialized around him as he came out of his imprisonment; unharmed.
"Humph! At the end of the day, you are also, only human..." (Spirit)
"You will not be able to fight me forever..." (Spirit)
"And until either one of us is defeated, this fight will go on forever! Hahaha!" (Spirit)
Erik's opponent was a spirit...something which wasn't mortal, something which wasn't governed by the law of nature, something which wouldn't tire out... ever!
Even so, there was a smile on his face.
'When?..' (Erik)
'When did I start waiting for my opponent to make the first move?' (Erik)
'When, indeed?' (Erik)
'It became a routine....the loser held out his hands in gratitude for the lesson and I graciously accepted without skipping a beat...' (Erik)
'As if that was what I wanted!!' (Erik)
'That's not how it should be!!' (Erik)
'For so long, I sought the height of perfection!' (Erik)
'I dreamed of giving my heart and soul to my plan! To make it a reality!' (Erik)
'And here I am...facing against an unstoppable adversary!!' (Erik)
'I'm a lucky man...to have gotten this opportunity.' (Erik)
'I'm thankful for everything that led me to this point... that led me to you!!' (Erik)
Erik looked towards the dragon as his crimson aura started to settle down around his body.
"Just try me, spirit...." (Erik)
"Checkmate me if you can!" (Erik)
"I'll show you... my 'hollow' heart!" (Erik)
An unimaginable amount of hate and anger burst out of his being!

(Mizuki's POV)
"Mikihiko!..."
M-My voice echoed through the dark yet was received b-by none!
I ran!...r-ran at the best of my capabilities yet I couldn't see a thing!
I-It felt like I was stuck within limbo!
*rumble!*
The ground on which I was standing, started to tremble!
"What is going on!?"
I questioned myself and started to look around!
I lost focus, tripping over my feet...onto the ground!
*trips!*
I-I stumbled on the d-dark path due to the intense t-tremors generated by what I felt like, the clash between the ancient spirit and Senior Erik.
Their battle was shaking the entirety of Mikihiko's mindscape, sending ripples across the fabric of this world that exists within the former's mind!
I w-was asked to search for Mikihiko while Senior E-Erik would buy me some time and k-keep the spirit busy!
Unfortunately, I have b-been walking on t-this dark p-path for so long and have yet to f-find anything other than the u-unending darkness.
I never t-thought that confronting an ancient spirit w-would be easy but i-if what I saw before Senior Erik cut the connection between u-us; was true!?
T-Then I can't imagine anyone surviving against such an m-monster!
Not even Senior Erik!
"I must find Mikihiko!"
I-I stood up from the ground and closed my eyes as I started t-to concentrate m-my psion near my optic nerves.
"[Crystal Eyes]"
I-I remembered sensei t-telling me to let go of my consciences about m-my abilities a-and faithfully command m-my eyes.
My light-violet-colored psion coiled against my eyeballs as I opened up my eyelids to look at my surrounding.
A beautiful view entered my vision!
Different colored gases could be seen revolving around the dark path; leading to a definite location.
Within the bunch of colored gases, I could feel that I had seen one of them somewhere once before!?
Could it be!?
"T-This psion? I-Is it Mikihiko's!?"
