14 Chapter-14: Daily Life pt-2

"Suzune-san, come eat with us!"

"Yeah, Suzune-san why don't you come sit with us, we will have a great time!"

"Yeah, Suzune-san should be friends with her fellow course-1 students, let all sit together."

Multiple course-1A students could be seen around Suzune who was having a problem communicating with them. They were obviously trying to befriend the class rep, unfortunately for them, Suzune was more of a silent type of person who avoids conversation if not necessary.

She didn't like crowded places or being around too many people, so being surrounded by a bunch of noisy strangers made her uncomfortable.

She couldn't even refuse them, after all, she indeed was the class rep and the position had its advantages and disadvantages.

"Say Suzune-san, will you join us!"

"Yes! Please Suzune-san...."

The course-1A students continued to look at her with an expectant expression as their waited for her to speak, they knew that Suzune wouldn't refuse them, after all, it was not polite to refuse their intent to befriend her.

"I—" Suzune opened her mouth to speak out and try to get out of this sticky situation.

"Suzune-san! Here you are! I have been searching for you all over the campus, the president has asked for your presence, he wants to discuss a crucial detail regarding the forms with you!"

Before Suzune could finish with her words, a voice interrupted her mid-way, a figure with a lean body and long grey hair—a part of it is tied in a single braid on the right side of his head—black fingernails, appeared near her.

He had chartreuse phosphorescent eyes, which were slightly hidden under his hair. He wore the same uniform as her with the flower patch on his shoulder, signifying his status as a course-1A student, but the detail that attracted the eyes of the course-1 students to him was the arm-band he wore.

"Hello! Erik-san...."

The course-1 students greeted the senior committee member with respect and admiration. The handsome young man was someone worthy of respect, not only did he had the highest physical score ever recorded but was also a senior committee member.

Erik had been polite to every student, he was one of the most elite students within the school yet his disposition made it easy for everyone to talk to him.

"I see you guys have been talking with Suzune-san, I apologize for the inconvenience but her presence is required within the council room."

Erik politely apologized to the course-1 students who had been 'talking' with Suzune.

The course-1 students immediately became flustered seeing an elite apologize to them and started waving their palms in a denying manner.

"No....no! Erik-san, you don't have to apologize for anything! We were just talking to Suzune-san, for about 2 minutes so you haven't interrupted us at all!..."

"Yes! Suzune-san, please go with Erik-san by all means! We wouldn't disturb you both working...."

"Yeah, take care Suzune-san, you too Erik-san...."

They immediately bid farewell to the duo and left the place so that not to disturb Suzune-san and Erik-san.

In response to their good wishes, Erik just gave a slight smile before asking Suzune to follow him.

"Come Suzune-san, we should probably go to a more quiet place where you can relax...."

The black-haired beauty turned towards Erik and nodded towards him, she had to look up due to Erik being a half-a head taller than her even though she herself was quite tall.

Both of the Student Council Members started walking towards the Council Room while talking to each other on the way.

"Erik-san lied about the form?"

The responsibility for handling forms for the upcoming Recruitment week was Erik's, everyone in the council knew about his efficiency concerning his work, most of the layout and format was already completed along with the back-log within the Public Morals Committee being reduced by half.

"Hmm? Well, it seemed like Suzune-san needed assistance so as a friend, I was obliged to help you...."

Erik had a natural expression on his face as he kept walking through the corridor, looking front when the eyes of the black-haired beauty were focused on his face.

"Erik-san, knew about me not being able to converse with too many people?"

Suzune had a feeling that Erik understood her behaviour and habits quite properly, it had only been 1-months since they started working together but the understanding he possessed about her was impressive.

"Suzune-san indeed strikes me as the quiet-type, not that I complain though."

Erik stated with a normal expression over his face as he glanced toward Suzune who had a thoughtful expression on her face.

"It's just that...I become uncomfortable when engaging in talks with many people at once, it feels a bit.....hard to do so."

Suzune told a bit about herself to her friend who had just helped her out of a predicament.

"Suzune-san should have more confidence in herself, you are one of the most impressive women I have ever met."

Erik found Suzune very impressive, not only due to her knowledge, vision but also her willingness to face the society which had already done so much to her family.

Suzune went quiet for a good few seconds after receiving Erik's praise, there wasn't any change in her expression but she indeed had some questions within her mind.

".....Say Erik-san? Why are you so kind to everyone? You are so capable but never boast, you do so much work but never complain unlike most of the council members..."

Suzune couldn't understand, this person in front of her was regarded as perfection by most of the new students and was well respected within the council, but not once has she seen him boast or adopt an attitude.

She wanted to know about why was he so kind to people he didn't know?

"Hmm...I am kind to others simply because others aren't kind. The course-1 students loathe the course-2 students, the elite-students loathe the course-1 students and this continues on and on."

"I myself don't want to be a part of this cycle and that leaves me with two choices, either be mean to everyone or be kind to everyone, I found that the second path was more beneficial so I decide on that path."

"I see....."
