140 Chapter-139 The Competition Begins pt-15

"You all need to stay here while I go and get Mayumi." (Erik)
Saying so, Erik started to wake up, Mari so that he could leave their responsibility in her capable hands!

"Mari! Wake up!" (Erik)
"Uh? What! Alright I am up!" (Mari)
Mari was wrapped into some nice blankets by Naotsugu before the latter had to abruptly leave to deal with the [Generators].
Erik shook Mari awake and spoke in a serious tone.
"I am going to make sure that Mayumi is ok." (Erik)
"I want you to make sure that the students are safe!" (Erik)
"Oh! What a minute! What is happening!?" (Mari)
Mari had no idea about what was going on, especially since she had just woken up from a comfortable nap.
"Terrorists have managed to infiltrate the place!" (Erik)
"Naotsugu and Mayumi are currently helping the army deal with them and I am going to provide assistance and heal those who are injured." (Erik)
Erik had a serious expression on his face and that was all that Mari needed to see to understand the gravity of the matter.
"Alright! I am coming with you!" (Mari)
She initially decided that it would be best to help her friend find Mayumi and Naotsugu.
But...
"No, Mari! You will stay and make sure that the kids are safe!" (Erik)
Erik had to force her into changing her mind.
"They are a reckless bunch and I can't trust anyone other than you to keep them out of danger!" (Erik)
Erik was of course wasn't lying when he said that the First-Year students were a reckless bunch!
Given Erika and Leo's impulsive behavior, they could very well endanger other student's safety!
With Mari keeping an eye on them, it would be impossible for the situation to get any worse.
"B-But!....sigh! Alright!" (Mari)
Mari was not happy with the decision but she knew exactly why Erik was forcing her to stay within the pavilion.
And it was the right thing to do!
Especially considering her status as the [Public Morals Committee Chairwoman].
"Tatsuya and Isori, assist Mari and make sure to stay in this place!" (Erik)
"It wouldn't take me much time to find Mayumi so stay on guard!" (Erik)
Erik later turned towards the two most responsible individuals after Mari and asked them to take control and make sure that they are out of the danger zone.
"Alright!"
"I will try..."
"Hm..."
Erik nodded his head and moved towards the door before leaving the place.

(In the pavilion)
"What will we do, Mari-nii?" (Erika)
Now that Erik had left to go find Mayumi, they were confused about what should they do other than staying within the room.
Mari turned to look towards Erika and spoke in a serious tone.
"We will do nothing! Erik has already gone to find Mayumi while Naotsugu is taking care of terrorists." (Mari)
"There is no need to put yourselves in danger." (Mari)
"But we can't just stay here when Erik-nii is risking his safety to find Mayumi-nii." (Erika)
Erika wasn't happy with Mari's decision of staying put within the room while her elder brother and Erik risk their lives out there.
Mari understood this and assured Erika that everything will be alright, that she had nothing to worry about.
"Don't worry about him, Erika." (Mari)
"He is very much capable of protecting himself against any enemy. You have already seen his capabilities before." (Mari)
"Also Naotsugu is working with the army so he will be safe." (Mari)
"Hm..." (Erika)
Erika didn't seem satisfied at all but alas! There wasn't anything she could do in this case.

(Tatsuya POV)
I closed my eyes and activated my [Elemental-Sight] to get a clear picture of the situation.
As soon as my awareness spread throughout the building, the world around me seem to disappear only to be replaced with multiple constructs made up of lines and particles.
I could see....everything!
But I filtered out the unnecessary details and focused on the three irregular psion bodies.
Hm...so these are three terrorists that are currently fighting against Yanagi-san and Chiba-san.
Saegusa-san also seems to be fine, with [101-Battalion] fighting with her; she should be safe.
The damage caused by the fight also doesn't seem to be disastrous; it would be good if Yanagi-san and Chiba-san knock their opponent unconscious as soon as possible.
Having analyzed the situation, I opened my eyes and stopped using my [Elemental Sight].
I then looked towards the door through which Saltzman-san had left to find Saegusa-san.
Saltzman-san was a smart and powerful individual.
He knew that taking everyone with him will be just putting everyone at risk!
So he simply chose to go alone while asking Watanabe-san to stay guard and keep an eye on the unpredictable factors such as Leo and Erika.
Watanabe is right when she said that he could take care of himself.
From what I have seen, he is very much capable of fighting anyone in this building.
Thankfully, the fight is taking place away from here.
My sister wouldn't have to face unnecessary danger and I will be able to keep my abilities under wraps.

(Miyuki POV)
Onii-san held my hand and transferred all the knowledge he had on the situation to me.
So that I could be aware of the hidden dangers and act accordingly.
Thankfully, the conflict is happening far away from our location which doesn't put Onii-san in danger.
I don't want my Onii-san to get hurt or expose his abilities since that would put a stop to our peaceful life.
Saegusa-san, Chiba-san, and Saltzman-san are currently trying to deal with the conflict.
I hope that they stay safe throughout this ordeal.
They have always been kind to every one of us and don't discriminate against Onii-san for being a course-2 student.
I don't want them to get hurt!
I tightened my grip on Onii-san's hand as I prayed for their safety.

(At the fighting scene)
*bang!*
Yanagi smashed his knee into the generator's diaphragm; in front of him, knocking the air out of his body.
Even so, there was no change in the latter's expression as he sends a side chop towards the former's head; who simply blocked the blow using his elbow before grabbing his wrist.
"[Revolution and Return]" (Yanagi)
Once again, the commander rotated his body, lifting the enemy from the ground and smashing him into the floor beneath him.
*boom!*
Chunks of rock and dust flew everywhere!
The blow had successfully knocked the opponent unconscious.
That was one down and two more to go.
"[Acceleration-Type:-Giga Impact]" (Generator)
One of the two generators who had been fighting Naotsugu suddenly turned and attack Yanagi with a powerful attack.
"Your opponent is me!" (Naotsugu)
His leg muscles bulged and enlarged as he burst into speed; breaking the floor beneath his feet due to excessive force.
In an instant, he arrived beside the other generator and made a slashing motion towards the opponent's wrist!
*slash!*
*spurt!*
The wrist of the generator dislodged from his hand as a stream of blood burst everywhere; painting everything red!
Mayumi had to avert her eyes from the gruesome scene whereas the generator who lost his wrist didn't show any emotion and continued with his attack.
"Haa!" (Naotsugu)
Naotsugu seeing that he was still going on; didn't let up and smashed his palm into his chest.
"[Secret-art:-Invisible-Sword]"
(Naotsugu)
Since one of the generators has been neutralized; there was no need to hold back against the other two!
Naotsugu used his invisible sword to pierce the enemy's heart; directly breaking his [Data-Fortification] without any resistance.
This time there was no blood or limb flying; only a dead body falling to the ground.
Yanagi and Naotsugu turned to look towards the last [Generator] and burst towards him; wanting to end this as quickly as possible.
