11 Chapter-11: Suppressing the Fight pt-1
'Typical teenagers....so annoying!'
Erik sat on the table while looking at the commotion with a bored expression, Mayumi and Mari already had their faces turned towards the direction of the noise.
"Looks like you need to be ready for a potential fight, Mari-san...."
Commented Erik as he focused on the matter which may very well turn into something nasty.
'It hasn't even been a week since the semester started and disputes have already begun...'
Mari had her C.A.D within her hands, ready to act if the things went south. As a member of the Public Morals Committee, she had to maintain order within the school campus.
"THE FUCK YOU ARE SITTING HERE YOU COURSE-2 TRASH!!...."
"WHAT DID YOU SAY!!"
"BITCH YOU DEAF!? MOVE YOUR ASS OUT OF MY SEAT!"
A few course-1 students could be seen standing near a course-2 student who had been enjoying his food until he was disturbed by a group of baboons.
"You should probably stop them before it evolves into something nasty..." Mayumi was, of course, worried about something bad may happen to the course-2 student if Mari didn't intervene.
"I wouldn't suggest that....." Erik calmly sips on his coffee and he politely interrupted Mayumi's sentence.
"Why?...."
"Say, Mari-san stops them right now and they do listen to her words, what happens when you are not around? How can you be sure that they wouldn't do it again when we aren't around?"
"We can issue them a warning, in that case, that ought to deter them from doing something like bullying course-2 students again." Spoke Mari with a righteous intent while watching the event unfold.
"Unfortunately, for an enforcer to issue a warning to a student, the student must be in the wrong first, he must at least do something moderately wrong before you are allowed to issue him a warning." Erik calmly shot down Mari's suggestion.
"If you stop him now, then that is just delaying the inevitable, but if he does something which garners the attention of our committee, we can punish the wrongdoers and make an example out of them. 'THAT' would surely deter them and others from bullying a fellow student." Sipping on his coffee, Erik patiently explained his suggestion to the two girls.
"But wouldn't that be blatantly ignoring the situation in front of our eyes!?" Mayumi asked with a concerned expression after listening to Erik's suggestion.
"I don't necessarily agree, we have two Enforcers here, not to mention I am well aware of Mari-san's capabilities. I don't think that the situation could take a turn for the worse." Erik knew just how capable was Mari when it came to suppressing offenders, not to mention he himself was there to stop them before anything bad happened.
"So a deliberate setup!?...." Mayumi asked curious expression, she herself was no stranger to such tactics, being the oldest daughter of the Saegusa Family but seeing Erik so effortlessly dismantle the situation, impressed her.
"Sometimes you must sacrifice things for the greater good, not to mention it will be very helpful for not only the course-2 student but also the others." Finishing his coffee, Erik placed the empty cup on the table before cleaning his lips with a napkin.
"You remind me of a certain sly old man, Erik-san...." Mayumi was reminded of her cunning father who also devised similar strategies.
"Well, as they say, 'Like Father Like Husband'...." Erik immediately spoke a cheesy line to diffuse the serious atmosphere around them.
"Pft...!! Hahaha...." Mari broke into a soft laugh as she put her free hand to cover her mouth.
"I—....." Mayumi grew a shade of red after realizing that she had just been made fun of by Erik, a pout surfaced her face and she looked away.
"You are indeed right if everything does go as you say then the course-2 student would no longer be bullied and it would deter others from doing the same thing as the course-1 student."
"A well thought out plan indeed...."
A fourth voice joined in on the conversation, a behemoth of a man came into the trio's sight as they turned their heads towards the source of the sound.
"So you were indeed able to make it here on time Juumonji-san! You came in on the perfect time, take a seat! Join us..."
Erik moved left and made space for the behemoth of a man, Katsuto accepted the invite and took a seat with the trio while also focusing on the dispute.
"What is your take on the matter Juumonji-san?" Asked Mari as she waited for him to respond.
"I think that going through with Erik's plan is indeed beneficial for establishing a point. Otherwise, these events will keep on happening." Katsuto replied in a calm manner as he looked towards the course-1 students.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, I CAN'T SIT HERE!? IS YOUR NAME WRITTEN ON THE SEAT!?"
"YOU SHOULD SIT WITH YOUR LOW-LEVEL FRIENDS, THIS AREA BELONGS TO THE COURSE-1 STUDENTS, TRASH LIKE YOU AREN'T ALLOWED HERE...!!"
"WHO ARE YOU TO DECIDE IF I CAN SIT HERE OR NOT!?"
"WHY YOU!!..."
The course-1 student went forward to grab the colour of the course-2 student who was sitting on the table.
Unfortunately for him, the course-2 student wasn't someone you could bully. He smacked away the hand of the course-1 student and stood up straight facing him.
"YOU!!..."
"I think we should interfere now!?"
"Not yet Mari-san, have patience...."
Erik pulled out a golden chained Pocket watch and held it into his right palm glove. The white glove helped him to keep his [Hollow's Touch] under control so that he wouldn't unintentionally hurt anyone after all the abilities acquired from the [Outer-God] weren't all easy to control.
His clicked open the pocket watch, revealing the beautiful blue streak design within the glass, filled with symbols.
This was Erik's C.A.D, a pocket watch specially made for him by himself, a C.A.D strong enough to hold his magic and stay unaffected even within Magic Zone interference.
Also allowing him to use his special magic, [Time-Magic:-Rewind], similar to another magic in his possession, [Regrowth], this magic allowed Erik to turn back time for the whole world. This magic was very stable and didn't leave behind any activation psions, allowing it to escape the senses of all magicians.
The limit to what Erik could turn back time was 3-hrs, any more than that was impossible as the Eidos would detect the anomaly within the information plane.
He wasn't very talented in using multiple branches of magic, so he focused only on Absorption-Type magic and Convergence-Type magic, he could use magic from other categories but nothing high-level.
'Let's see how this goes....'

(A/N:-Erik wouldn't be fighting very often in the school, until the Nine-Schools tourney, he will be more of a manipulator type of character, fighting only when necessary.)
