Shisui and Arashi go on a hunt!

We left the hideout and went hunting, Shisui was teaching me the basics of using a bow and arrow. I got some part right, but now he was testing how effective I was while hunting.

Shisui gave me a bow and arrow,

"It's not one of my stronger weapons but I know the basics of using it, Itachi is better at it than I am."

"Hmph." I scoffed and looked away.

I pocketed and closed my eyes.

"Itachi can't be better than you at anything big brother, he's only practiced so hard so he doesn't look weak in front of Sasuke."

Shisui smiled and chuckled.

"In that case, I think I should train harder so I don't look so weak in front of you."

I opened my eyes and nodded.

"Alright, let's go." Shisui took off, and I followed.

After 10 minutes, we stopped to look for tracks.

"Here I found some footprints."

I pointed at the footprint left.

"Look at the space between the toes. That's a wild boar, isn't it?" Shisui nodded.

"Yes, but not just any wild boar, this one is bigger than the average."

"I see…

Will the bow and arrow still kill it?"

Shisui nodded.

"Yeah, as long as you hit it in the vital spot.

But don't worry about that, I'll help."

I smiled.

We continued heading towards the boar, following its tracks and being careful.

We were getting closer and closer; the footprints were getting fresher.

"Here, I found it," I whispered.

It was eating grass in between two tall trees; it hadn't noticed us above.

"Now all you have to do is take the shot, remember, hit the vital organs, I'll hit it from the other side.

Let's try to make it a swift kill."

"Got it."

Shisui took three Kunai and aimed at the boar.

I aimed at the boar and steadied my breathing.

"Fire."

My arrow pierced its thick skin and went into its chest.

Shisui didn't need to do anything after all.

"Good one Arashi." I smiled.

We dropped from the tree.

I went to get my arrow, but it was all bloodied up, so I threw it away.

"Big brother?" Shisui looked at me.

"How are we supposed to carry this back?"

Shisui smirked and said,

"WE aren't carrying it.

You are."

I looked back at the giant boar and then at Shisui.

"Are you joking?"

"No, this is part of your training.

You have to get stronger."

I looked at the boar, and couldn't help imagining myself being crushed underneath it as I tried carrying it.

"Fine." I grumpily said.

I went underneath the boar and lifted it, grunting and wobbling, until I finally lifted it.

I used chakra to boost my strength and started walking, wobbling, and slowly following Shisui.

"Don't fall back," Shisui said with a smirk.

"So annoying…"

Five hours later, we reached the Uchiha hideout, I helped Shisui make a fire, and then we roasted some of the boar.

We ate small portions to preserve food.

"Big brother, how long are we going to stay here?" I asked as I took the meat from the grill.

"You miss your friends?" I nodded.

"We won't be here for that much longer, but I'm not sure we're allowed to go back to the village.

We both committed crimes, the Hokage is forgiving but not like this.

Especially now with the clan…"

Shisui stopped talking as if he was about to reveal something.

"Nevermind that, I hope we can go back soon too, Itachi must be lonely without me, you know." I nodded.

"Hey." I looked at Shisui.

Shisui ruffled my hair with a smile.

"We're going to be fine, I'm sure Naruto, Sasuke, and Itachi are alright."

"I know that too, big brother.

It's tough to believe, but Naruto's the toughest guy I know…

Besides you, of course."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, you're both my brothers.

I've known Naruto my whole life, I can't imagine what would've happened if we didn't meet. I think I would've been a total loser without both of you."

Shisui smiled.

"I don't think you'd be any kind of loser.

You are my brother, so either way, you'd still be alright."

After eating our roast, Shisui put out the fire, and I went to sleep.

"Arashi, Arashi wake up!" Shisui shook me up.

"Wha- what is it?"

"Someone's here, get up."

I quickly opened my eyes and got up.

I packed important things and got ready.

"Wait." Shisui held me back.

"Do you hear that?" Shisui asked.

The man outside walked slowly, he was calm, like he didn't care about alerting us.

'Maybe he's not here to fight or take us. Or maybe he's just cocky.'

Shisui got between me and the door.

"Did you take this long to find us?" He asked.

"You aren't so easy to find, you covered your tracks well, anyone who doesn't know you as I do would have trouble finding you."

'That voice… I know that voice…'

Shisui sheathed his tanto, and I copied him and put down my kunai.

"Itachi, is anyone following you?"

From the entrance, Itachi walked through, his Sharingan was active and he was wearing his Anbu gear.

My eyes widened seeing him like that.

"No one followed me, you can relax."

"Sorry, I can't drop my guard right now."

"That's…

Understandable."

Itachi glanced at me like he was figuring out something, and then he asked,

"So then it's true, isn't it?"

He looked back at Shisui and said,

"He is Arashi Uchiha.

And he is your brother."

"Yeah.

He was taken as an infant."

"Taken? You're sure?"

"It's the only reasonable answer."

"Shisui, you and I both know the village wouldn't do this.

There's likely a reasonable explanation.

Possibly a misunderstanding of some sort.

According to that data, Arashi was supposedly born at the same time as Naruto Uzumaki, so you could understand if fear was the factor, right?"

Shisui clenched his fist.

"I understand…

The Hokage did this for the village, to protect the village, you know I understand this more than anyone."

Itachi looked at his friend with his eyes full of hope again.

'It's just like Shisui to have such a strong bond and will.'

"What the Hokage did…

It's what many would do to ensure safety.

But that won't make it right.

He orphaned my brother."

A dim crimson light shone in Shisui's eyes.

"Arashi lived as an orphan, and then he was burned and kicked to the streets and treated like a curse."

As Shisui diverted his eyes from Itachi, a crimson light shined as he looked back with his fully activated Sharingan.

"Even before Arashi was born, I devoted my life to this village.

This…

This is how they pay me back."

For a moment, Shisui diverted his eyes away, before looking back at Itachi as he continued,

"I won't have it.

All who took part in this will pay."

As Shisui looked away, I started noticing his eyes changing.

So much chakra…

Even when he's so calm, Shisui's chakra was lashing out and into his eyes.

"Shisui…" Itachi muttered.

"I've had time to think about this.

To think about why the Hokage did what he did.

All the reasons I've had only resulted in the isolation and fear of the Uchiha clan.

Perhaps it was Danzo, but that shouldn't matter.

Maybe it's time to listen to your father, Itachi."

Itachi had a glimpse at Shisui's eyes, they were full of rage, and he was almost unrecognizable.

"They lied to my family.

I would've lived without knowing I had a brother, all because the village is too scared of the clan for something we didn't do." Itachi frowned.

"Fugaku and the rest of the clan were right…

The only problem is…

I fought for the wrong side last time.

We both did.

Join me Itachi, the village has made its choice, I won't fight you, you're like my brother too.

We can take on the Hokage together."

Itachi took a moment and thought of an answer.

"Listen to yourself, Shisui.

You're losing your mind, aren't you the one to lecture me about keeping the peace inside the village?

You told me there aren't any rights or wrongs as a shinobi. So what gives you the right to judge what Hokage-sama did?"

"And you think I wanted this, Itachi? Do you think I would've influenced Arashi to attack the village?

The village doesn't trust us so much that they won't even allow us to have our families.

Don't be naïve, the Hokage will do the same thing to you too, Itachi.

He doesn't care about us.

Step aside or join us. I have the Mangekyou, I'll defeat the Hokage with these eyes he despises so much."

Itachi took out a Katana.

"You're my best friend, I won't let you do something you'll regret."

Shisui narrowed his eyes.

He paused for a moment to see if Itachi was serious and then took out his tanto again.

"I won't kill you, Itachi.

Because I know you'll come to understand the truth one day.

If Hokage-sama can do this to me, he'll do it to you, or any other Uchiha."

With that said, he got ready to fight his best friend.
