13 First Hug

Nina walked out of the room to the middle of the hall and turned right towards the dining room. She slowly opened the clay pot's lid and poured water into her bottle using an instrument, which looked like a glass attached to a long spoon.

Filling the bottle gradually, she cursed the village and the people for not developing. Her hand ached as she took the water-filled spoon for the third time to fill a litre bottle. She accused Tala and Ace for not replacing a filter instead of a pot and a big spoon.

"What is the use of that education if it's not helpful?" she thought to herself as she filled the bottle to the mouth. As she closed the cap, she suddenly heard a sound from her back, making her pulse as fast as a cheetah. She wanted to turn and check, but she was more afraid to glance at something horrible, such as a lion, tiger or any other more dangerous wild animal.

Pressing the blue Doraemon bottle in her hand with trembling hands and legs, she hit her forehead for not checking the main door before sleeping. She then realized that she slept without having dinner, listening to songs. "What a lazy head?" she again banged her head hard.

Turning bit by bit with a racing heart and shivering body, her eyes popped out, and her feet unknowingly stepped back, looking at the door. It was wide open, and a lock was hanging to the door. "Did Ace lock me inside? So, Is there a thief inside?" Nina panicked and ran towards the door. She suddenly skidded on something smooth, making her butt hit the floor hard and the bottle drop. "Ahhhhh!!!!! What's this?" he blabbered, holding a beige coloured fur.

Now her heart and brain confirmed that it wasn't a human but an animal inside the house. Catching her waist, "If it's a thief, I will be alive at least!" she limped out of the house and closed the door. Sighing, she sat near the door and grimaced, looking at the darkness around her. She smirked at her fate for placing her in between a wild animal and unknown darkness.

Czar and Tala were holding Ace with the front limbs and hopping on their back legs. Reaching a little inside the forest, they placed him on the ground.

Tala rushed into the jungle and disappeared in an instant. Czar held Ace close to him, warming up the body. "How did you think that you can sustain without feeding?" he thought and scolded Ace to himself.

Tala emerged from the woods with a live deer struggling in between his canines. As he came nearer, Ace's eyes wide opened by smelling the blood, dripping from the deer's neck. Standing slowly with a weak and dried-up body, he jumped towards Tala, snatching the deer from him.

Throwing the deer into the air, he bounced and slammed the deer on the ground. Pushing his hungry teeth into its neck, he drank the blood and hastily ate its flesh. His limbs gained the lost energy, and each gulp of blood that placed the throat gave him an extraordinary feel.

After converting a live animal into bones, he sat and breathed in satisfaction. "Bro, tell us what happened?" As he was about to convey the things that happened, he stopped seeing Czar. "I stayed around that house as Nina might come outside. Did she see us? Did you lock the door?"

"She didn't see us, Ace. But we haven't locked the door as she was in the filling her bottle when we saw you."

Hearing that, Ace pounced above them and rushed towards the house. Czar and Tala followed him in confusion. Each one of them stopped, glancing at Nina sitting and shivering in front of the door. "Why is she sitting outside in this cold weather?" Czar looked at Ace.

That was the first time Ace felt sad for being a werewolf. He was helpless, while Nina was suffering and trembling in cold. Though being a warm creature, he couldn't help her. "How much time is felt for sunrise?"

"Three to four hours." Ace's replied via telepathy.

Ace's golden eyes searched around for a blanket, but there was none. Being warm animals, everyone preferred light and thin clothing. Blankets, Sweaters and Jackets were out of the clothing style werewolves favoured.

He whimpered helplessly, finding no solution to warm her up. All the three different coloured furred wolves were shovelling their claws into the soil, pulling out the small grass. Czar was a pure black wolf as his eyes and hair were black too in a human form, which Tala was covered with light brown fur, which few patches of grey under the stomach and legs.

Suddenly Ace started walking towards Nina and stood in front of her. Her skin appeared pale, and her plumy lips wrinkled. Her eyes were blinking but weren't opening completely, as she didn't have the strength. The cold weather and dropping temperature was making her weak and delicate.

"BBBBAAAAAOOOOO! BBBBAAAAAOOOOO"!" he barked, making Nina look at him through the small opening in her eyes. Glancing at the wolf, her pupil enlarged but immediately shut, losing consciousness.

Ace seemed as if smirking. His mouth was lifted in a corner and stretched. "Now is the time that I come into action!" he said to himself and walked to Nina. He sat beside her, pushing the brownish-cream coloured tail to the other side.

He put her head on his warm fur and took her closer, dragging her towards him with a limb on her waist.

Tala's golden eyes narrowed, and ears squinted with suspicion. He looked at Czar, who was also staring at them. Though Czar knew that Ace liked Nina, he didn't expect him to behave towards the Alpha bride that way.

"What are you doing?" Czar asked Ace through mind voice.

"I couldn't see her freezing and striving. My heart was clinching on even imagining that scene. Just tell me if anyone is approaching."

"What? Should I remind you that she is Alpha's bride? The Alpha can be anyone of us - even your brother. Do you want to fight among yourselves?"

"But....."

"No, buts! Will find another solution, but this isn't!" Czar growled while conveying. Luckily, Czar found a dry grass heap in a farmer's land far away. He immediately rushed towards the brown heap, sending a message to Tala that Ace found a grass heap nearby and asked him to fetch it.

Tala groaned in relief, "Brother, What are you doing in front of Czar? Won't Czar inform the Alpha?"

Ace and Czar's secret friendship turned into a plus point in that situation. Czar wanted to maintain their relation and his acting a secret until he was the son of the Alpha. Being fed by the villager's wishes and desires, he didn't want Ace to be involved in the chaos. If the people knew that Ace was a friend of Czar, they would start approaching him, leaving the childish Czar aside, pleading to convey positive things about them to Czar. That might result in the whole plan of acting innocent to a loss.

"Don't worry!! When I told him about the grass heap, he was the one who asked to fear and warm-up Nina."

"What? Idiot!! Shouldn't you both take the reverse roles?"
